@jk28440 Yeah I know. I stopped playing on Voobly because no one ever plays for the fun of the game, they only play for the stupid BSC. Also XWA isnt installed on my new computer. Does it work on Vista?

@Oldskool97 Installing it on Vista is the hard part. After that it works fine. There's a site that updates the installer so it can be installed, that, or install on a 32 bit OS, copy the files over, and import->export the registry changes.

I personally prefer Game Ranger when it comes to XWA Multiplayer because you dont need to foward ports and because you find oldies who want to play for the fun of the game, rather than for BSC stats.

The XBox already has a joystick and XBox Live for online play. unfortunately, if they did, I think they would dumb it down and make it like HAWX of Ace Combat 6. A simulator in the loosest sense of the word.

Well i got it running with an USB-Joystick just normally. First with a logitech Wingman and then with a Saitek X-52......on the german version.

There's "tracking camera view"-shortcut, and several targeting-shortcut variant that give better dogfight experience.

With it we'll be able to experience alot of cinematic cross-fire! zig-zag everywhere, while staying in close and cooperative fighter group. Tracking camera also let us dodge blaster from capital ship and dodging tailing fighter.

That's where the fun was...(during combat, there isn't much power allocation for shield & weapon regeneration, this's when speed & coop matter!).

It's mean to simulate a hopless attack by a small rebel squadron against a fleet of Star Destroyers...so of course lots of them die trying.

The best challenge is taking on a Star Destroyer yourself. It even gets old the satisfaction of a lone X-wing taking down a Star Destroyer.

Many people don't know that StarWars Galaxy had an expansion called Jump to Light Speed that is like a separate game within the main game that blows any thing out there away. You have the choice of Imp.Rebel or Free Trader ships. The start of SWG has you breaking out of a Empire Space Hanger ,Hans Solo and Chewie are there to help get you out and into a space port to start training in your 1st ship that have great Proto type equipment.Clue to mining ships ,are from a guy in Wookie Treehouse Bar

not many, and i doubt many more will ever play these older games, we still have the old veterans who still play, like Adalla and others (including me), but someone (preferably totally Games) needs to make a modern Star Wars sim, seriously, who doesn't get excited at the though of massive hundred player online battles :D all in HD, of course ;)

definitely eps 4-6.....there isn't even a strong space combat legacy from eps 1-3.....what's the "legendarily" craft in those movies....nothing as epic as the X-wing vs. imperial Tie fighters and the millennium falcon like on eps 4-6.

if they did a new sim and focused it on eps 1-3 space craft....i wouldn't even play it. i haven't played and sims since i was in jr. high/high school, and i won't until they make a new one.
