I remember in 1989 I went to Colorado with my folks and i had this song on tape. I listened to it as we were flying in over the mountains and I will never forget it. An awsome song by an awsome guy. This song will forever be one of my favorites.

what the fuck are you saying moron john denver was a very good singer songwriter if you have something against him im gonna kick your ass real hard he is the best
@OrchidTigress1 Great performers, songwriters, singers and actors like Mr. "all in one" John Denver could never be "the past". While there are people who remember him and honor his memory watching his videos and listening to his music, he will live on. I hope we can say this things about the young Bieber in the future.
US congresswoman Cynthia McKinney has come out and blamed the pro-Israel Lobby in America (AIPAC, ADL, ZOA, etc) for ruining her political career. While in congress she refused to sign the pro-Israel pledge and took a pro-Palestinian stance. Because of this, McKinney said “war was declared” on her by the Jewish lobby. In 2009 she told TIU's Ognir that “more than 99% of Congress work for Pro Zionist Israeli interests.”
My mother knew John Denver, my whole family did. My mom had named me after the song "They call the wind Mariah" Now my mother died, and I never met her.

@BuzzSmithUSN i know what you mean but Bieber is the teeny sex symbol smooth-skinned boy-boy that the business men need to attack the little girls with dad's wallets. It's simply that. You would find it hard to market goods to that demographic on the back of John Denver. Anachronisms Buzz.

@LWAL63 Bieber wrote this when he was visiting Colorado, that's what he said in a message to my Beeber fan club, Justin Bieber would never lie. Then Denver goes off and steals the lyrics.
@LWAL63 How could it be on You Tube if it was made in 1973???? You tube wasn't even around until like 2003 or something, so you are a lying bitch. Beeber wrote this song and this Denver guy stole the lyrics.
@LWAL63 You are so dumb. Justin Beeber wrote this song. Beebers father pretty much wrote I am the Walrus and She loves you
@gunnerglory John Denver really did write the song Rocky Mountain High, back in the 70s. Justin Beiber could never do that, even if he had the same talent. He is not old enough. Movies can last for a very long time, even decades. It can also be converted from an older medium (like LP) to a newer medium (like CD). If it was recorded before, it can find it's way into modern websites. I don't mean to brag, but I have seen plenty of stuff on You Tube that is 30-50 years old.
simply one of the greatest artists of all time......his music is what I call real.....pure uncomplicated soulful......almost all have a meaning or message of some kind or another,,,music that makes you think and imagine..places you may never have been [like me } but through Johns music you can so clearly imagine...i loved him as a young boy and i love and miss him and his music today
Thanks for the inspiration to pick up a guitar all those years ago.......your music is timeless and your message of conservation will live on...not in vein i hope........i would love to see the rockies one day it looks like the most amazing place on earth..thanks John........

I fell in love with John Denver's soulful music way back when I was just 17. His songs are a delight to listen to and inspirational. I appreciate many types of music, from the Sex Pistols to Led Zeppelin, from Classical to reggae, but have always appreciated a talent such as JD, who could sing a great song with just his crisp, sincere voice and his guitar. A special human being who cared and dedicated himself to the environment - bless you John. RIP.
i grew up listening to john denver and the first time i heard his soulful voice i instantly fell in love with him and his music.he was an inspiration to me and still is..he will always be my top favorite musician.i just feel sad,hes gone too soon but he will alwalys be in my heart...
thank you for putting this up!!!! it was the best birthday present I could ever get today. I hope to thank this man in heaven someay for all the joy he has brought to my life on earth. Love when he giggles in the middle of a song...shows you how much he loved what he did!
Like John, I moved to Colorado in the summer of my 27th year. Although I started out in Aspen, I never felt it was home for me. I have lived in Cripple Creek, Crested Butte and even Denver. Now, I live in Pagosa Springs, and it is here I will stay for the duration. My wife died of cancer last year and is buried here, and that alone will keep me here.
John Denver inspired me to pick up a guitar over 30 yerars ago..and for that i thank for you.............and more importantly thanks for your poetry and music and your message of conservation.........one of the true pioneers in singer / song writers of his generation and even though he has moved on from this world..........his music and message will live on forever
@wifesacouger Come on over, be my guest, but you should listen to his full length version with this missing verse, referring to a friend killed in a road accident, in it first!
I remember my parents had a John Denver album when I was a kid. My Dad used to play it a lot! I never really thought about it or listened at the time. 30 years later and I understand why they played it all the time, the man is absolutely amazing! What a tragedy he died!
Damn, this was LIVE with NO processors or mikes except for that on the floor, AMAZING VOCALS, clean and tight NOTHING like today, sadly there is hardly any
talent today that comes close to the performers of the 60's and 70s....'
I believe music like this is real. take away the electronics from todays Singers and I think the artist you have left will be countable on 2 hands. John had a voice that came from heart and soul and was a true gift from god. I love this older music where you can hear the talent they have and not just wonder if its computer/electronic altered.
@Carolannwisconsin I started listening to JD before I was 10 years old...I knew talent and old fashioned decency when I saw it, then and now! Glad to share it with a friend!
If you want this kind of music 2 once again come back to the 21 century read this; we can change this world! We can show the world how much we miss these masterpieces! If we start getting everyone to listen 2 this kind of music Lady Gaga + all the others will go out of business then Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, Journey, Styx, + many others will once again rule the world of music! If we all wear the old style of clothing we like + listen to our music WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD!!!
@hickshaus she's a thieving 1/2 talent who swipes from others for satan, wears sunglasses cause she's bow wow, and meat dresses to garner the attention her half talent does not deserve. DISS'D AND DISMISSED
'During the 1980s, Denver was critical of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Administration, but he remained active in his campaign against hunger, for which Reagan awarded Denver the Presidential World Without Hunger Award in 1985.[8] Denver's criticism of the conservative politics of the 1980s was expressed in his autobiographical folk-rock ballad "Let Us Begin (What Are We Making Weapons For)."
'Political activismDenver became outspoken in politics in the mid-1970s. In 1976, he campaigned for Jimmy Carter, who became a close friend and ally. Denver was a supporter of the Democratic Party and of a number of charitable causes for the environmental movement, the homeless, the poor, the hungry, and the African AIDS crisis.'
'He founded the charitable Windstar Foundation in 1976, to promote sustainable living. His dismay at the Chernobyl disaster led to precedent-setting concerts in parts of communist Asia and Europe.[8]'
Puts life in good perspective. Great song.

Years ago, I made my first mountain hike (up Snowy Mountain, NY
yeah not the Rockies...lol) but it had a beautiful view of the
surrounding forests and a lake down below. But that night, on that
mountain top, I had a dream that it was day time again and I was
looking down again at that beautiful view. And then I turned to look
next to me and there is John Denver smiling. He stepped over to me
and took off his glasses and put them on me. Without a word he was
saying - now you understand.

RIP.

@wifesacouger And they say that he got crazy once
and he tried to touch the Sun
and he lost a friend
but kept his memories.
No mikes, but something is missing in this in this short TV junk.

I believe music like this is real. take away the electronics from todays Singers and I think the artist you have left will be countable on 2 hands. John had a voice that came from heart and soul and was a true gift from god. I love this older music where you can hear the talent they have and not just wonder if its computer/electronic altered.

HEY EVERYONE!!!!!!
