  • only 3000 views? no wonder why the media thinks its just a Commie revolution.

  • this is like a fox style hit piece where you dont get both sides of the story.

    LONG LIVE THE COMMUNE

  • "This is not anarchy, it's love" This is Occupy.......Hippies and fags

  • @ HouseOfWaxRecords:

Read the history of the French Revolution, YO! If we don't learn from history, we will be doomed to repeat it. This is clearly NOT Occupy! This is anger. It's understandable anger, but it is not anger which has learned from history. It is just raw anger. The whole point of protesting and demonstrating in the controlled and planned way that Occupy does is to NOT repeat history and get killed.

I'm so sorry this happened, Oakland Occupy, and I'm so glad you denounced it. <3

  • Death To Capitalism.

  • This is disgusting. Why would you denounce someone just for not resisting the same as you or for not speaking about the same issues you have? You are acting the same as what you are supposed to be fighting against. People denouncing anarchist and saying certain acts are not apart of "Occupy" are what push me farther away from the occupy movement.

  • @HouseOfWaxRecords i have no problem with anarchists. but i do have problems with blindly destroying property. there was no consensus at the general assembly regarding the occupation of this building- but you dont shit where you live. people were graffitying and breaking windows in the property that THEY are reclaiming. does this make sense? if anything, it gave the police another opportunity to raid something that is supposed to be characterized as nonviolent and peaceful.

  • @grrgrrl Congratulations. Worst interviews, worst point of view. Ever. Who decides what "is Occupy?" The Occupy Oakland General Assembly discussed these events for days afterward and overwhelmingly REFUSED TO CONDEMN THEM. So if consensus based direct democratic decision making isn't your cup of tea then perhaps YOU are "not occupy?" Even if you don't agree with property destruction as a tactic UR trying to police the movement. Stick to shooting pretty video & spare us the spin.

  • @lilbot3000 right- days afterwards- not beforehand. nothing was consented before this took place.

  • fuck wells fargo.

  • Very good insight. Thanks for sharing this!

  • We demand transparency and accountability from the 1%, this government, cops, and the banksters. We also demand this of ourselves. Great video with an important point to express.

  • occupy movement isn't about endorsing the 'death of capitalism' ...if you read the only formal statements, you would know that. and how do you know that they are? apparently it's a group of provacateurs that are trying to infiltrate and bring down the movement. seems like a good tactic from a buncha people that have no idea what to do next w/ these thousands of people pissed off at the injustice that THEY (feds) have created...

  • @supergreensmartie wecomeoutatnight1999 proves my point. Your movement is not any better than who has power now, they just want the power for themselves.

  • @christopherlamm1 Yer totally right, bro. The musings of a single random YouTube commenter have totally swayed my viewpoint on a worldwide movement that consists of thousands upon thousands of people.

  • @SuperGreenSmartie i would LOVE a peaceful Revolution...but its not gonna happen..our government doesn't care about us at all.they aren't gonna give up their position to bunch of peaceful protests, its gonna take force. And if/when it comes to that,i would be joining the rebels in a heartbeat.i would die for my freedom and the Constitution.

  • you'll be a lying pussy.

  • Occupy Oakland has created an environment where violence is accepted. You are now no longer better than the government, you have an occupation that harbors terrorists. It was a good effort but it failed.

  • @christopherlamm1 Okay, where am i gonna start here? First off, those who commit crime in this protest are a seperate group called the black bloc, a anarchist group known for hijacking peaceful protests. Second, no one ACCEPTED this. In fact, those who were actually protesting tried to stop it. They do not harbour anyone, and they are trying to help repair the damages that black bloc caused. Give them a second chance, they weren't responsible for this seperate group's actions.

  • @SuperGreenSmartie yes! exactly! thank you.

  • Why does everyone use Guy Fawkes as a hero? He wanted to create an oppressive government. I guess it makes sense if a lot of you guys want to give more power to our corrupt ass government to regulate wall street, which is RETARDED! Wake up and educate yourselves people. You're being played by these corrupt ass politicians to accomplish their own goals of more control and power. Remember, the government bailed out wall street. And the government takes your money.

  • You know, I wish that for the first time, for one single moment, that people outside of occupy stopped critizing it and looked at it for what it really is. It's not a bunch of ungrateful workers, or hippies, or whatever. It's not meant to be violent, and it's not a complete mess. It's a movement that shows just how powerful we can and will be if we work together to accomplish our goals. No violent fighting, no breaking crap, just standing your ground and saying "No, you have to start helping us"

  • We shut down that port during the day completely peacefully with all the 'undercover feds' sitting in their black cars off in the distance all over the city & even in the harbor where we shut down. These under covers were ALL OVER the city, we must start finding out who these 'anarchist' are because many of these anarchist were caught infiltrating on behalf of the police to instigate violence

P.S. there is a rumor that is unconfirmed that the source of the keys to the building, were cops or feds

  • @DKingSoaD I feel so sorry for you guys. I support you, and I wish some people didn't feel the compulsive need to come in and do things like this. Best of luck in keeping your protests peaceful, and finding out who tried to frame you guys for this! You have Canada on your side!

  • violence solves everything, get violent get change

  • The police triggered this violence.

  • @W9ILL Nope actually, it was the black bloc. Sorry, but for once the police weren't be douche canoes.

  • this video = proof that peaceful protesters, general assemblies, & democracy itself are fucking ineffective jokes.

Want change? MAKE change. Don't beg for it.

  • @miketv This wasn't occupy, its a group called that black bloc, look it up. They are known for hijacking peaxceful protests.

And wouldn't it be nice if, for ONCE, mankind didn't need to resort to violence to make change? Because occupy is proving, without a doubt, that even if it takes more time, as long as you stay peaceful and work with others, you will make change. It won't be immediate, but it will happen. And explain how destroying local businesses helps defeat the 1% to me please.

  • @SuperGreenSmartie begging your oppressors to give you a better life is for retards, pussies, & suckers. Look it up. And see if there's a footnote saying how many times THAT brilliant plan has worked.

You go ahead & vote your problems away, or maybe wish & hope them away (is there really a difference?) Someday, when the finance criminals die of old age, you can tell your grandkids you helped change the world. But you'll be a lying pussy.

  • @miketv That's bullshit. You want to break others property? Fine, go ahead. But a word of advice: unless you actually do something which directly affects those who have power, the little outburst those few protestors had did NOTHING. Asking for shit, on the other hand, may seem like the "pussy" way of doing things to you, but trust me, it'll have a much greater affect then breaking your own property. Violence won't do shit, and the only reason its ever worked is because their was no other option

  • @miketv And believe it or not, we've finally reached a point in the evolution of mankind that we don't have to have resort to violence to fix our problems. Yes, government sucks, but if we can be reasonable with those in its system and not break innocent people's property, we can actually accomplish something. You really wanna say you've made a difference? Then don't let these idiots discredit the occupy movement. Let's try and do it differently tihis time. Violence doesn't need to be the answer

  • @SuperGreenSmartie there's being passive, & there's being active.

Guess which one you're doing? Bonus Q: guess which one actually affects change?

Here's a hint: Occupy Oakland got taken over by about 2 dozen active rebels while a few thousand peaceful "protesters" walked & chanted.

Don't give me that Ghandi & JFK shit. People were hurt then, too.

Once everybody has to fight for the shit they want, things will change. Sleeping in a tent never solved a damn thing. You should be thankful.

  • @miketv Look, I am thankful. Just not for the violence. I understand violent rebellion has worked in the past, and believing that a peaceful protest could have the same effect is a long stretch in comparison. But if we don't break that cycle, if we don;t learn to find ways to fight the government in other ways, it'll hurt everyone if the long run. This movement is more then just peaceful. It's a chance to prove we can make a difference through non-violent actions. Admit it, that's kinda cool

  • Fine go ahead and run rampant, thats what they want so they can impose a curfew which they know everyone will break than eventually their main goal, martial law.I wanna see anrchist go head to head with not only the riot police but national guard and their weapons, attack dogs and tanks.Im for the occupy movement but peacefully intill they start to kill like the M.E than thats automatic civil war.

  • As the US begins implementing at Federal, State and local levels new and more harmful levels of austerity programs (like the IMF/WB have been inflicting on rest of world for the last 3 decades) you are going to see more desperate people.

Desperate people cannot always sit around and wait for things to get better,by definition, austerity brings desperation and poverty. IT destroys the social-economic safety net.

The GAs are limited; not EVERYTHING will wait for consensus to say "that's okay."

  • "Non-violence" is a tactic, and not always the best tactic. The only times in history where it has affected change is when it has been juxtaposed against the alternative, aka, people taking the situation into their own hands. The civil rights movement's non-violence tactic was useless until the alternative, full out urban militant revolt, was a real possibility.

Occupy. "peaceniks" should try to embrace a wide range of diverse tactics and strategies before turning on their strongest allies.

  • These are provocateurs these are not occupy people.

  • thanks for clearly & courageously standing for non-violence... stay true, stay real..

  • Come right in its a dance party inside also.ITS A TRAP,ONCE YOUR INSIDE YOUR DONE.

  • Make sure that hose is properly wraped around, its city property used as by city undercovers.

  • EXACTLY about love and standing in solidarity! ANARCHY does not work except another excuse for the city to imply a curfew and martial law.Dont back the anarchist for all i know they could be working for the otherside.

  • @TheMessengernow I wouldn't put it past our government to hire a bunch of yahoos to riot and disrupt the non-violent momentum of any movement.

  • @jonnyhatter35

Your idea is not unfounded, look up Operation Northwood.

  • @TheMessengernow The occupation movement uses the methods and tactics created and honed by anarchists who have been engaging in a struggle against capitalism and the state for decades. In many cities, the occupations were started by and are currently reliant on anarchists.

  • lol they play music from people that back the illuminati meaning the the banks corps politicians the movement is against.I mean if these rappers stood by the people like most of their lyrics then where are they?Their the corps of music.Musical greed rapping nonsense to benefit their wallet.POP MUSIC!

  • This isn't a game folks.

  • Comment removed

  • That big sign should say "REFORM TO CAPITOLISM" just so Bill O'Reilly doesn't get his kindergarten feelings hurt

  • WTF is this crap a fkn party?

  • Protesters should watch the movie Fight Club.

  • the anarchists have a lot of heart. They are young passionate and naive. This is class war liberals, remember this. The police are not our friends until they declare solidarity. Property damage is not violent, and is arguably just. But it does scare the population, which is what our, anarchists and others, common enemy. We need cooperation fellow anarchists. I believe in anarchism full heartly, but we need to cooperate and find common grounds to fight.

  • @BrianDBishop They are young passionate and mostly naive. Anarchy does not, and cannot work as a system since it really isn't a system at all. I mean unless you consider Somalia a success. Government isn't the problem. Repressive government and greedy corporate influence are the problems. Eliminate the govt entirely and see how the people are treated. These dumb motherfuckers are threatening to derail something peaceful and beautiful. They should be cast out of the Occupy body on sight.

  • @dmwalker24 No. Somalia is run by warlords. The very definition of anarchism opposes rule by warlords. Governments can not function without being repressive. Corporations cannot function without being greedy. The problem is the state. The problem is capitalism. The problem is white supremacy. The problem is patriarchy. Anarchism is a movement against these pillars of our society.

  • @magonistarevolt The reason Somalia is run by warlords is precisely because there is NO STATE. When there is no system or structure by the people then those who have some power will exploit the situation to take advantage of those without. Your ideas simply have not ever and will not ever work. Someone always tries to be in charge. Either because the people say that person can be, or because that person has guns and like-minded backers. Anarchy like true communism cannot work in practice.

  • @dmwalker24 You are right, the biggest problem that faces Anarchism is how do we organize society in a way in which hierarchy, merit, or oligarchs have zero capabilities of fucking people. I implore you to look into how some of the greatest minds within the long history of Anarchism solved this. I see you seem to like the Somalia example, i guess i will raise you 1936 Catalonia Spain. That is what 21st century anarchists, for the most part, want. :)

  • @BrianDBishop What, violence? Maybe I'm looking at this wrong, but how did fighting the police, making these barricades, and setting fires help anyone? Not only did they get arrested, but they also tarnished the occupy reputation, and made weeks of time and planning irrelevant because now all most people are gonna think is that occup is a bunch of anti-capitlists who seek to cause violence. And on top of that, now people have to clean everything up. Sorry if I seem mean, but violence didn't work

  • @BrianDBishop Actually you have a much larger problem than that. As soon as you remove the state, completely, then all are truly free. Free to work, to raise their children, or to kill the family three houses down and take their stuff. I appreciate freedom, and I know that many Anarchists are well intentioned, but the instant there is no govt to enforce order, the people will enforce it themselves. This is a truly terrifying thought.

  • "If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself." I'm sorry friend, but I have no faith in humanity to treat each other well with no more coercion than the honor system.

  • @dmwalker24 1936 Catalonia Spain, read Homage to Catalonia by Orwell.

  • Stupid kids biting on old hippy line items

  • This wasn't a legitimate occupy assembly because a bunch of hippies didn't wave their fingers at it? Why do people believe setting up a tent in the middle of a park is going to make a bank stop stealing from the people. Disruption of the local economy is sometimes the only way to push an agenda. If the occupy movement is the beginning of a revolution, it needs to start getting more serious; right know they're not even effecting who they march against.

  • @calvinmonkey --- it's actually had many effects so far

  • they are playing mattafix! nice

  • Thank you for posting this ACCURATE PICTURE of went down in Oakland on November 2nd Strike. Peaceful congregation and march 99.9%. Violent destructive black bloc .001%. And then, who gets all the press.

  • @arachneeth Occupy gets the press. Why? This is what occupy is about, an uncontrollable mob with no real agenda or plan. You cannot go to the streets and spout hate at the system and not expect this kind of activity. Those of you who feel you are peaceful marchers are just enablers for the mob. The results from the violence and the destruction of property is the responsiblity of all the occupy movement. Google the term "useful idiot". Maybe it will help.

  • @DBgoober1 --- you are wrong, misinformed, and watch too much bill o'reilly (probably)

  • @BiscoGrooveDrew Bill O'Reilly is a tool. In which way am I wrong and what information do I need?

  • @DBgoober1 --- you are wrong b/c there is an agenda. that is - bring the power back to the people and stop letting the corporations buy our gov't. here is the only 'official' statement so far...

  • @BiscoGrooveDrew That is an idea, not an agenda.

  • @BiscoGrooveDrew I love how fucking over small businesses and dock workers doesn't have one thing to do with this agenda. "Oh, you're barely making ends meet? Close down for a day! THAT'LL show 'em!"

  • @benreilly5467 - that's not the big picture at all. the best way to the finish isn't always a straight line....

  • @BiscoGrooveDrew Here's a collective "fuck you, moron", from every person blocked off by protestors, every shop owner who had their windows broken, everyone who had to clean up the shit, urine, and dirty needles left behind by the campers, do I need to go on? Being an animal isn't part of any picture.

  • @benreilly5467 --- getting your windows broken ISN'T what occupy is about. it is .001 of what has happened. and apparently it was just people trying to cause trouble, not with the movement.... you would give up on all of your ideals associated w/ morality that these people are dealing with, b/c of some random ppl breaking windows in 1 of the well over 100 cities that this is happening in nationwide?

  • @BiscoGrooveDrew Is it your right to tell these people that they aren't a part of the Occupy movement? If they're there yelling things like "death to capitalism", then yeah, they're still part of the movement.

  • @guilemaster147 --- have you heard of the term provacateur??? the essence of the movement IS NOT death to capitalism, vandalism, or violence...if you knew, or cared to want to know...then you would know that this has been the case in all of the other ~1500 cities worldwide, and in oakland for 99.9% of the time. think about that, or stay close-minded.

  • @BiscoGrooveDrew Of course I've heard of it. But you can't just call someone a provocateur for simply doing something that illegitimizes the movement in your eyes. In essence, several notions of the movement ARE heavily anti-capitalist. For example, distribution of wealth. Capitalism is about making as much for oneself as possible. By preventing that, you are supporting a more communal economic system- which has never succeeded for any length of time in mankind's history.

  • @guilemaster147 --- well, look at the percentage of the time that it has been peaceful. also, the only thing that the movement is about, is the clearly stated (maybe twenty some) statements that keith olberman read on his youtube channel. if you don't want to understand that, then that's your own misfortune. whether some of the people believe in capitalism, or not, that is irrelevant to the few major issues that almost everyone in america believes in, before adding the "hippie" stigma

  • 2. the twentysome statements read by keith olberman the whole and nothing but the whole frustrations that 'occupy' is about, and about trying to change. nothing more, nothing less. everything else is just b.s. name calling that the media has planted in the people's brains, sadly

  • @DBgoober1 this is the same thing that happened in india with gandhi. gandhi was peaceful, and was the face of the protests, but the ones that got shit done were the violent ones (Hindustan Republican Association, look it up). that is how protests work. the west (a.k.a. the british) made gandhi the face of the revolts b/c they could actually do something about him, unlike his violent counterparts.

  • @mak62159 Sounds sweet, except, we do not have a foreign army occupying our country. We do have an unrulely minority occupying small portions of our communities. The majority of voting Americans will use the violence as a reason to allow the goverment more control over the people. Again, useful idiots.

  • @DBgoober1

    watch?v=N8o3peQq79Q

  • @BiscoGrooveDrew I have already watched that video. It is a statement of children. It is not an agenda but a rant. Completely full of misleading statements and incorrect facts. You needed a tool like Obermann to read it.

  • @DBgoober1 --- a statement of children? is that a full sentence? the agenda is global awareness, i believe. what facts are incorrect????

  • @BiscoGrooveDrew Corportions buying politicians. Although corporations do donate to political campaigns and have lobbyists, they are not the biggest donators. Go to OpenSecretsdot com and you can see who the largest contributors are. There is also some really good info on lobbyist there. Unions are the biggest spenders in Washington. Unions have more money to spend, they do not have stock holders to answer too and they do not have to show a profit.
