  • To the three deaf people, I am sorry for your hearing loss :'(

  • FUNK!

  • What do you think Stevie means when he sings, "...get on my camel and ride" Huh... Stevie may be blind but he knows a 'big ass' when he feels it - LOL Stevie's a genius.

  • like the song says we love having you around in all our life forever

  • Just groove after stone cold groove. Music of OUR minds.

  • CLASSICK!

  • Thumbs up those of you who love having Stevie around more!!

  • This was the first of the new Stevie

  • ...I love having you around Stevie. Thank You.

  • I can remember back in'72 when we all waited with such anticipation as to what this greatest of artist was doing in the studio all alone for so long in what could be considered his teenage years....after uptight, For once in my life, sign seal delivered and so much wonderful produced music already....And we heard THIS for the first time. AWESOME!!! play on bobbah...

  • most talented musician/singer-songwriter of the 20th century, BY DAMN FAR!!

    I <3 STEVIE

  • i like boys a lot so this totally appeals to me.

  • THIS ALBUM was a life changer for me! Thank you Stevie!

  • It's a GIFT

  • Thank you Stevie. This is a mood changer, can't help smilin!!!!

  • You see, there are many, many, many outstanding musicians who've come and gone and who are also still here. Then there are the one's who are simply elevated above. There's Stevie and there's . . . .hmmmm, I'll get back to you on that. Paul McCartney's damn close as is Donald Fagen but . . . Stevie writes melodies and chord patterns and words that make you scratch your head and ask "how did he come up with that?" ;-)

  • @MrWhizzpop haha thanks! and @Brilliantbeing yes i agree. all kids are into now is hip hop and justin bieber! gross. haha. but out of all the young new artists taylor swift bothers me the most!

  • THIS IS TOO FUNKY FOR WORDS.

  • Omg after weeks of searching for this song armed with only a tiny portion of its melody in my brain, I finally found it!

I'm not forgetting the song title again =]

  • @HomoImperitus404 I KNOW i hate when that happens

  • Stevie always makes me smile ;-)

  • i think stevie gots the most positive comments on youtube!!!

  • @samkwiek

one clear reason for that - "he's simply the best" - we are all in awe of this man.

    His talent exceeds peoples expectations

  • the beginning of this song alone, just the beginning of this song is priceless. Who else ? Nobody else makes this kind of musical magic. How loose , funky , musical , fun, funny , full , innovative , eclectic, idiosyncratic , beautiful , tight ,sweet & grand can one song be ? Amazing.

  • @tallflute, yes i did and no he didnt lol

  • The intro sounded almost like "Sunshine, Go Away Today"

  • I use to play this early in the morning before i went to work . it gave me something to be happy about on my way to work. thanks for posting

  • go Stevie!

  • Happy 60th birthday Stevie!

  • I'm crazy about this song... Stevie has a tremendous creativity

  • LOVE this song

  • I wonder if he was the first to use the talkbox or the bag?

  • @PeterMayer He wasn't but was the first to use it in songs that were commercial successes

  • @dbastard1977 Ok, anyone of any concequence. Who used it first?

  • Everyone, Sing this to the one you love.

  • i think i am going 2 spend a fortune on his albums

  • @iampeekay

    money well spent..

  • Ahhhh man!!

I'd forgotten how much I love this song.

When it was out, it was my 'sho-nuf' jam. This song makes me remember all the musical reasons I love Stevie Wonder.

I'm forever grateful Steveland Morris established his mark in music history.

He changed the whole game - set musical precedents for generations ...

  • Note to byrd1nypa:

No, I did not, amigo; "Music Of.." came out in early 1972...and "Talking Book" (which I *did* purchase right upon release date) came out in late 1972.

For the record, I made it my *mission* to collect as many Motown LPs as could in the '70's 80's & 90's..I had a total of 1,500+ on ALL the labels (like Rare Earth, Soul, Tamla, Prodigal, Gordy, Hitsville, etc.) till they all died in a fire (Albuquerque, N.M.) in 1999.. :-(

  • r&r.... ;o}

  • this song inspires me to be a better human being...thank you stevie!

  • when i get a boyfriend he better sing me this :)

  • AMEN to that!!!

  • @acerin123 ok i will lol

  • @acerin123

awesome. did you get one and if so, did he? :)

  • @acerin123 hahahah go on girl!

  • @acerin123 - That's a nice thought. But these cats out here are too far off into hip hop to even come close to feelin' this powerful Stevie Wonder vibe. Good luck.

  • @acerin123 ...that's extra cute!!!!!!

  • The first "New Era" Stevie jam I ever heard -- after the days of "Signed Sealed Delivered", "Fingertips", etc. And I was - and *still am* blown away by this UBER-MEGA-ULTRA-RAVE-FAVE!

    Thanx fer it, m8...

  • Then you missed Stevies album, Talkin Book...

  • this is a perfect example, of how you could be so in love with someone, you just want to be in and around them everyday. How you can't think of nothing else but them. I love this song!!!! i love you stevie wonder!!!

  • GOO MAGIKARP

     TAKLE ATTACK!!!

  • what does it mean when he says he wants to get on his camel and ride?

  • Why does it have to mean anything? This is America-It doesen't have to make sense

  • Comment removed

  • You know most camels have one hump..sorry don't mean to be pedantic..granted there are a few with two ..you see it ruins the point of your comments..you end up looking a bit silly..or metaphorically "dumb as dog shit"....or is that a similie????

  • Comment removed

  • @camcandy79 I think it may mean that he just wants to bask in the loveliness of his intended, and he would ride on a camel to do it...some of us would ride a donkey, or a horse, or a motorcycle, or a car...you get the idea...like riding in the wind, enjoying existence....

  • woah this is great

  • and EveryDay I wanna Smile in your

    Lovely Brown Eyes

  • I remember hearing this song for the first time in the 70;s, and Stevie's the first artist that I ever hear to use the talk box!! Stevie is a genius!!

  • Stevie is the man! He always brightens up our music theory lessons in college :)

  • Great tune - lovin' Stevie! Click my username to check out a song I made sampling Stevie's 'Happier than the morning sun' from the same album... it's called 'Morning Sun'

  • Did he also play the drums on this one?

  • Yeah. The only instruments he didn't play on this album were the guitar solo in this song and a trombone on another.

  • i notice a few people thinking stevie wonder is using a vocoder, he is using a talkbox in this song.

    great song by the way

  • you talk about FUNK!!!!! This song is STANK! I love this tune! I can play it too...hee hee.

  • Syreeta Wright wrote the lyrics. This is an example, how truly talented she was.

  • Syreeta wrote a lot of Stevie's songs... until they got married and broke up...

  • Yeah, I know. She did great albums (most of the songs were written by Stevie), but she was an underrated Motown artist.

  • sing it stevie show em how da sang stevie.

  • My favorite song off of this classic album

  • gotta love that wonder groove

  • on my cannondale flowing thru brooklyn crossing some water to the city and just chillin in a city park eating fruit and looking at the lovely sisters in the spring la la la la -every day on my camel baby ridin

  • All hail the mighty Stevie Wonder.

  • He really played all them i seen him play drums this is great stuff if thats the case, just like paul did on his new album, and old some too

  • its not that he played all the instruments because some people do that and its still wack, but its that he did it and it came out great

  • The man was what 21, played almost all the instruments, wrote the tunes, the words-what's that overused word that DOES apply here: GENIUS.

  • @dlanodrelda he was blind while doing this better than people with sight too, lol

  • @dlanodrelda calling him a genius sells it short.but i agree he is was and will be one of a kind!

  • Everybody says the Roger Troutman is the musician that brought the "vocoder" to R&B music. But, this song is the very first song that I've heard to use the "vocoder" Stevie was ahead of his time, and he doesn't get enough credit for his innovative usage of the vocoder!!

  • You're right. that's for people who have limited knowledge of music intruments. Stevie and Herbie was using vocoders long before Roger Zapp. Nice try for those who think otherwise...but they would be incorrect...lol Good call.

  • Stevie Killed this to. I don't know which one is better because First Choice Kilt it...The soul in the song is so funky.

  • First Choice did a very nice cover of this....

  • This is the shiznit!!!

  • No one like the Masta Blasta jammin, mon! lol
