This my cheap way to make your own weeds. Take a garbage bag and tie it like a kite tail to some mono. Weight the bottom of the line with a sinker and tie some foam or a piece of those swimming noodles to the top part. there ya have it, structure. You can also throw them from a boat or shore to make some structure early in the spring . You can roll them up on the noodle piece and they will unroll as the weight sinks. make the weight heavy enough so it will keep the whole thing on the bottom.

What good is it to plant crappie structure if you don't know how to get them to bite?
