  • Wait that's not real life? DA FUK! >:L

  • hi my friend can you explain your vray settings and material

  • holy shit bad graphics lame animation soo dark soo bad you dont know how to model

    i loved it

  • That, is, sick! Kudos to you! Nice presentation as well.

  • I have autodesk 2012 and when i downladed the 3ds max version it downloaded as a (.rar) file, my 3ds max program wont open the file type.

  • Could you make a terminator game with that stuff please ?

  • Will it blend?

  • Oooohhhh, he's so adorable, I'd love to hug him ^_^

  • Downloaded it but how would i open it in 3ds?

  • You should consider doing a tutorial of this. Okay, i'm dreaming

  • I can barely make a simple sword right now

  • @BlueRubberDuck2

all i can make at the moment is a wine glass :P

  • @justinj2 ive gotten better over the past month or so i can make simple animations now lol

  • @BlueRubberDuck2

    well done, man :D

i guess i just have to keep at it.

  • Nice Work !

  • Don't let that thing go online!

  • God, you are simply awesome

  • You done well on this! I dont know how u managed to rig this up, but its great work! keep it up!

  • amazing job.

I dont get why all those researchers who are experimenting with AI and robot, why dont they make a endoskeleton like this, i mean it looks like it really can do all the motions of humans.

And it sure looks alot stronger and more badass than those silly endoskeletons / frames that japanies robots use.

  • Dude that is so badass

  • Hey man,but how did you make it move it's arm and the other animations, with a biped or what ? I can't make my models move like that :D Would appriciate if you help,I'm a newb in 3DS Max but I animate with some game models that have bones.

  • and of course the song is called "ill be back"

  • Come and see this model in Our Terminator Series

  • I just started learning 3ds max aswell and this is just inspireing....I wanna get this good. Thumbs up

  • I just started learning 3ds max aswell and this is just inspireing....I wanna get this good. Thumbs up

  • How can you composite this into after effects?

  • pure talent, totally respect this, amazing

  • how long did this model take you, start to finish?

  • Like real mother fucker :D Congrats!!!

  • what a bigsmile

  • its shit, i will still click on thumbs up

  • ANIMAL!

  • That looks sweet!

  • can u rig this in BLENDER to? ;) (i am lazy)

  • this truly deserves to jizz in the pants

  • This is absolutely incredible. I'm completely envious of the skill you have here. I'd love to be able to do it some day.

  • man thanks for the Skull, I have uit now, but I have trouble operating the eyes? I mean the to turn on the light?

  • awesome work! i wish i knew 3ds. dabbled in affter effects & other higher end software, but never went 3d. im messing with CrazyTalk right now. doesnt really count though.

  • The model it self is just brilliant, the animation with the music as well was just all perfect, I've recently started on 3D's max and see'ing this just makes me hope I can do this in the future

  • how do u animate it :(

  • OMGWTFBBQ

  • ogladnijcie sobie ten filmik z utworem absolute ly z dj edy sabotage 2008

  • Ahahahaa at the very it it looks like it going "awww shit..."

  • 1:04 scares the f**king shit out of me

  • How old are you? Really?

  • OH, man! This is completely amazing! I don't have 3DS max, but I do have Blender. Can you make something as intricate as this in Blender? I mean... just looking at the hydraulics makes my mind blow.

  • @RasiumLane you can make omething this awesom and put it in a game with blender

  • @fredfredburgeryesyes Hey, just a question... can you make this IN Blender? I'd love to do one.

  • so freaking jealous... I just started using 3DS, it's frustrating but fun as hell. looking at this, I'm intimidated a bit lol

  • @Suren0 Don't be intimidated, I found concentrating on one aspect at a time the best way to go. Just make the model as best you can before worrying about materials or rigging or rendering. Just make a check list and work your way through it. Good luck and have fun! ;)

  • @dazzawalla did you animated it by hand because its really good

  • @dazzawalla

God like advice for modelling and one overlooked essential.

  • @Suren0 im blinded by its beauty

  • @Suren0 Handy thing to remember, you never have to model the same thing twice. Break down all the object you make and then you'll realize that all the details in this were added because you had too much fun with it. ;]

  • como se unen todas las partes por que tengo el t800 pero no puedo unir todas las partes del modelo en el 3d max.

  • 3 people that disliked the video are listed here -> cyberpunkreview. com/images/terminator06.jpg

  • @dubstepcro Lol funny stuff

  • Shiny! :D

  • holy shit dude i can barely make a stick man model

  • Why did you make the head so detailed but the give up on the feet? Looking good btw.

  • @MrCWebz thats what the mechanics of the feet looked like in terminator 1

  • i think hell be back...

  • what exactly was the metal reflecting?

  • if it punch a wall boom!!!!! it lose its hand 0.o

  • what do you use to make the model ? zbrush ?

  • How did you learn to model and animate so well? Did you attend an Art Institute or learn online? I am trying to find the best resource to learn as a beginner and progress into projects you are doing! Thanks for your advice and input.

  • How long did you render it? And what's your graphic card?

  • can i use the model in 3d max 2011

  • Nice! liked the angle with the hand :)

So I got this model in max09. Have problem with scanline, when I render It says ( Error Allocating Mesh, Reduce Face count ) And the Vray Version could not find the HDRI Image but I have It.. Any Idea whats causing this? Excuse my english Im from sweden... :P

  • wow...somebody has a-LOT of free time :P

  • That's simply amazing! You have no clue how frustrating it is for someone who just started out with 3D modeling to watch something like this!

I'd like to know what kind of techniques you've used to build this. Box modeling ? Nurbs ? How did you start ? 2D or 3D ?

It seem like I know a lot of techniques but I have no clue how to work with them. Help me!

  • @Deadman7Inc I used two reference planes FRONT & SIDE. I downloaded as many reference images as possible. It's just poly modeling, same way you'd poly model a human head using reference image planes to make sure you have the basic shape correct then use all the other reference photos for modeling finer details. so many free tutorials all over the net. but the MAIN thing with doing something like this is patience, I made this will with about 6mths self taught experience.

  • @dazzawalla 6 months ? You've got to be kidding me! Should anyone expect to be able to do this after such a short time or how did you do that? I'm getting more aggravated with this stuff every day cause I want to create these things so bad but every tutorial I watch just caters the newbs on how to use the viewports and shit. Do you have any tutorials you could recommend ?

  • Everytime I see this, I am blown the fuck away.

  • GREAT WORK DUDE!!!!....KEEP IT UP!!

  • Чё-то он какой-то потеряный. :))

  • Love the epic smile! :)

  • the equivalent of drawing the mona lisa in ms paint

  • if you download it on a laptop it wont get virus s on your laptop right

  • This is sick dude! Awesome model.:)

  • This is so amazing looking. I also need to learn how to use 3D max. When I went back to school after many years I end up taking viz, but it was a waste of time, because the college after that semester was going to start using 3d max instead of viz.

  • PROTECT SARAH CONNER

  • Great model, although it chews up over 2GB if RAM, at least the MentalRay Version, and I don't have Max 2009, to try the scanline version.

  • that's incredible good job.

  • nice man, that's nearly photorealistic.

  • this is awesome, nice work!

  • Can I be your friend? Please? Please? Please?

  • Looks good, but i have one question :D Why it has human teeth??? Not metallic, but looks like human teeth exactly !!

  • God I wish I was a Terminator sometimes!

  • looked so sad at the end lmfaooo

  • how long did it take to make this? good lord...

  • nicest one evar

  • plz make for 3ds max 2010!! This is awesome!

  • cool as hell. ive started learning today 3ds max, any tutorial recomended? how much u do this to be such a pro? i can make a perfect sphere in the meanwhile.D:

  • @STI828 Many free tutorials on Youtube and other sites, but for more advanced stuff you can buy tutorials by professionals. A perfect shere hu? damn you are good lol. I recommend focusing on one aspect at a time. seperate it a little, maybe do a month of just modeling practice using the tools. then maybe focus on learning the animation side then lighting/rendering, particles and so on.Then give your self a project to finish using all the techniques. Good luck ;)

  • My God that is awesome!!!

  • Holy SHYIIIT

  • good one dude for real good oine

  • wow man that is actually fuckin awesome

  • i want to say badwords... THIS IS FUCKING HOLY SHIT AWSOME AWSOME AWSOME.. sorry for the badwords HAHAHAHA

  • i wish you could teach me 3Ds max );

  • Totally awsome! Not only the creation of the model but the animation of the rig, mucho skills! :)

  • what version of 3ds max is this

  • its really good but too shiny :) its not car rim man :D

  • Mate, I can honestly say that, as a game design student and a huge fan of 3D, you ARE and absolute inspiration. I mean, bloody hell, just look at that rig, how'd you get the pistons to go in and out in coordination with the arm movement? Please mate, you'd be an exceptional help to all us 3d learners if you made a basic tutorial just explaining the concept of how to make and rig something like this.

Great work, most deffinately keep it up.

  • nice cameras!! i really like it =)

  • Oh my god that was awesome!!!!! Incredible job! Maybe you should have included a scene where the Terminator is in the robot-factory... cheers!!!

  • I wonder who was the designer of the Terminator robot ( or Cyborg ? What is the correct term ? ). It looks like it could really work as a real Robot.

Oh ... and awesome model by the way :-)))

  • good stuff

  • how many years of practice has it taken to get to that standard of work, because that was amazing. it would love to do that sort of thing

  • dude that is fucking awesome!!!!! and those 3 people that disliked are just jealous

  • @ThePocoamisto Thanks man ;)

  • @dazzawalla thats sweet n neat,great work

  • will this work in 3ds max 2010?

  • Holy fucking shit.

  • @CurtisWS totally agree

  • Just add a background and nobody will ever see the difference between that thing and Arnold Schwarzenegger!

  • You mister, are the winner. Such detail! Love the camera on hand shot. What PC you using to make these miracles?

  • @Kirmm Nothing special, CPU Q6600, 4GB ram, 9600gt video card. Having a fast computer only helps in rendering time really or unless you have a really dense scene then the video card comes into play or else you get choppy frame rates which are annoying when modeling/animation. But as long as you keep as many elements separate as possible then composite it back together after it's rendered you really don't need a fancy machine at all.

  • @dazzawalla Hi mate, youre an inspiration! What was the rendering time on that then?

  • @tonygroutCAD515 I really can't remember. Not that long because it's 99% chrome I made everything except the teeth ignore lighting and shadows. All the chrome did was reflect a HDRI, the eyes were self illuminated. Only the teeth were affected by a simple light source. The only thing that slowed down rendering was the motion blur quality was high as well as of the DOF effect in the "hand" shot.

  • that is amazing

  • whoa!!!!!!!!!! that was awesome!!!!!

  • how long did it take you to do this ! fckn awesome! 5 stars!!

  • could u plzzzzzz make a terminator movie or a short trailer

  • how much did you pay for your terminator ?

  • make a movie!!!

  • the gun makes everything shit, would be better if it would not appear at all

  • dude, how long did this take to render and on what sort of machine? Want to know if it's worth me even attempting!!!!

    Thanks

  • i dont have v-ray just mental ray..is their a way i can still use the image pan02 to get the shine look?

  • t-800 animation is awesome, but somethings not quite right

His arms are a bit too short..................i donno......maybe its just me

  • Darren, you're absolutely amazing. The world needs more people like you!

Not only are your masterpieces (rigged to boot!) amazing, your generosity is the only one that equals it.

Thank you for your generosity and here's wishing you the very best.

  • Very........very well done. I am jealous!

I've dabbled in Max over the years...here and there, very minor. But never learned it. I am going to learn the damn thing....sick and tired of wasting the years!!!!!

  • dont want to fuck with that guy :o

  • but mate, why can't I scale the model down?? and, i cant move that light that's in your vray version project..

last, how did you light your model up with your t-600 video?

If i know this, i will stop whining. :) thanks.

  • @jesseboy94 Mate, learn how to use Max. If you are trying to scale down the fully rigged version there a many reasons why that won't work with out it all going crazy unless you "take it apart" unlink and get rid of the constraints then re-rig it. It would be much easier to adjust the scale of the environment or get the OBJ version and scale then rig it your self. Vray light might be on another layer?. T-600 video lighting was just a single V-ray dome light with a HDR image, no GI.

  • @dazzawalla Okay, but thing is.. I kinda know how to use 3ds max, but I never did this terminator model kind of thing, so i have to learn everything about that, including vray.

And about that t-600, i meant it lights up with the muzzle flash from the gun, but that's probably keyframed i guess?

anyway, still thanks for your reply and sorry if i caused any rage. :P

  • the eyes are just red right now at my 3ds max, and at your images it has squares and stuff, how can i do that?

And how can I import the right way, so that i can move everything like you show?

  • @jesseboy94 The eye texture material is only applied to the Vray version, but the all the other versions come with the maps used so you can recreate the look.

  • @dazzawalla Oh alright. So basically, the right way to import is to just open the project file of the desired version?

That means I have to get vray, right?

  • @dazzawalla Hey, thanks for your reply, but can you help me with one thing?

The lens texture still isn't there when opening the vray version. how can i get it there?

and, is it easy to change the reflection to something of my own? because now i changed it in every material you have it in.

  • @jesseboy94 I can't give you every detail about how to use Vray and 3ds max. Check out some tutorials on Youtube on how to use max. There are a LOT of free tutorials all over the net. Good luck

  • hey dude, how can you import this the right way? I still have your picture in the reflection. And it does take long to render right? i have 4gb.

  • WOW WHAT DID U ANIMATE THIS WITH!!

  • @pivotmasterUK 3D Studio Max 9

  • @dazzawalla well i can just say YOU ARE A GENIUSE!!! teach me plz :D

  • can you use it on cs source or smth?

  • the animation is so insane...damn 0:45 - 1:15 just awesome how long are you working on the handmotion and damn everything...your are the terminator god...now take a rib and make the woman for this one...

best 3d modeling i've ever seen

  • BAD-ASSED!

  • That is BAD ASS!!!!! Nice model!

  • wow u r very very skilled

    dude ... teach me

  • does the download have the texture too?

  • @happyfoxproductions Yeah the materials and HDRI map for reflections are included.

  • i downloaded your model and it looks amazing, but when I try to open it in max, max freezes and crashes. I am using 3ds max 2011 and have 2 gb ram. Is 2 gb enough?

  • @Cretan1000 As it say's in the description on turbosquid it needs at least 3gb . 4 and above recommended. But it still should open up as I have opened it on machines with 2gb before, maybe try to import it instead. But at render time 2gb isn't enough ram unless you turn off all the turbosmooth and change the material to something more ram friendly, good luck.

  • Hey! This is absoluty the BEST terminator model what I ever seen... Really great work... Hold your skill..;)

  • Awesome stuff!

  • hi, great job by the way... I want to know what kind of illumination is this... mental ray?, I'm learning all possible techniques to do this kind of materials. I really aprecciate your response. I'm recently beggining with 3ds max, since March only. peace!

  • Are you serious? Only 6 months of learning and you made THIS?

I really envy your skills... I suck at MAX xD

What sources did you use to learn MAX? Any advices would be very appreciated.

Than you for the free model, it is simply AWESOME!

  • @QUATR00 Yeah 6-7months. I needed a lot of patience as because I was still learning I would hit walls and get stuck so I would continue on another part of the model also while checking out tutorials that might help me get past the "walls" I hit.. Youtube is the best free source of tutorials. Digital Tutors and Gnomon workshop are the best places for info as the tutorials are done by experts that work in the industry so you know it's good. Cost money but very reasonable prices. Good luck!

  • this is amazeing you should become a games designer

  • I'm totally impressed... This is amazing!

  • coolest

  • Comment removed

  • @derekcfoley I agree, this is better! The reason why the T-888 model from the show looks different is because of copyright issues or somesuch, and to differentiate it from the T-800.

  • Dazzawalla - superb work mate - very nicely done - and far, far better than the rubbish CGI model they used in Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Which always looked incorrect - this is spot on - You should offer to do their CGI work on the show!

  • @derekcfoley Too bad the show was canceled over a year ago!!! :(

I wish that they would have kept it going.... or at least continue it on to a DVD ONLY situation.

  • An amazing model! I have to ask - what was the poly count? :D

  • @RunningMan8917 It's very high at final render. I made this model after about 6mths of teaching myself Max before I knew anything about good topology or even that much rigging. It's basically using a BIPED with some LookAt constraints for the pistons. I could make it now with a 1/4 the poly count. It's something silly like 400,000 polys at render and a little RAM hungry.

  • hi dazz where can i download the music? i can't find it

great work man is the best animation i've ever seen!!!

  • By looking at this terminator, you can tell why they are almost impossible to destroy....ROCK solid metallic structure. What the hell is arnold made of anyways? NICE MODEL. Definitely creeps me out.

  • You've got some talent!

  • The only thing that could be better is... wait...

Nothing to critisize here, move along. :)

I want to download this now. Great job.

  • How long did it take to do the animations?

  • The best T-800 render I've seen so far. Congratulations! Hope to see more from you.

  • NIIICE!!! i'd like to see the wireframe on that model. probably high poly as hell

  • is it just me or doesthe terminator look sad at the end?

  • i am amased, incredible you can go to some studio and make films !

how long have you been working on this project?

  • I will this body, damned shits again.

  • congratulations man for making something like this. I'm learning to program for game development hopefully in the future, and im pretty bad at this, and sometimes feel like giving up. but seeing this stuff shows that just about anythings possible ^_^ great inspiration. Could i ask btw how you developed ur skills in 3dsmax ? was it purely self study, uni , books ? or a combination. would just be nice to hear what would be the best way to go about it.

    greets :)
