I remember this song from when I used to visit my dad and I must have been 4 /5 years old and remember how much I liked it then and liked her "bird" sounds and those awesome high notes and sadly just found out a few years back through wiki that she had battled cancer and passed from it in "79" RIP

I cant watch this video without crying. She was such a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice. This particular performance is special to me because at the end, I get chills. She was so talented and its so sad that she passed at the prime of her life. <3

She passed away, she had cancer and at one point she was in remission but it ravaged her body. Anyone please correct me if I am wrong. Her husband is on you tube with Minnie speaking about her illness. Look up The Michael Douglas Show, anothr icon. Minnie is on his show talking about her illness

Hi there. I know how you feel, but keep in mind that not all artist of your generation is all bad. You just have to have a discerning ear for what you like and what you don't. I was lucky to grow up hearing some of the best music ever. As you get older more great music will unfold before you from around the world. I do agree with you that a lot of so-called artists today get all the rave, but it's not right. So, bottom line, just know what you love about music and don't follow the crowd.
