i lived in Accra for 3years due to my father being in the armed forces and elmina is a place i will never forget! you still fell the sadness when you enter the dungeons and the smell is also something i will never forget! (i was only about 8 yrs old when i went and now im 21 and its still with me)

I've been there several times--I used to live in Ghana. It was always a sobering reminder of African history and how we need to remember the past in order not to repeat it.
