  • I live there, Trust me, not that magical. Beautiful - yea sure, when it's not raining. Wich happens 18 days pr. year! magical? not so much.. But I love it here anyways. Wouldn't trade for a dime! <3

  • @Barbs1991 - There are very few days with rain all day long. The Faroes receive an average of 1433 mm of rainfall per year (Thailand: Bangkok 1467). On average there are 257 days per year with more than 0.1 mm of rainfall. Most rains falls in relatively light showers. The amount differs from only 823 mm per year in Mykines to 3261 mm per year in Hvalvík. Rainfall in Tórshavn, the capital, is approximately the same as in Sidney, Australia - and it rains less than in Tokyo, Japan, for instance.

  • @Barbs1991 thats only because you live here.... for ppl that come from other countries seem to think it pretty magical :p

  • If I lived there I would hate anything, article or TV program that encouraged people to live their. Pretty soon you'll have a walmart and mcdonalds.

  • @zamusicza Sunset Blvd and Burger Kings has already infected the country

  • what is the song called?

  • To the shire of hobbits? Can you idiots fucking stop with the lord of the rings bullshit. This is the Norse part of the world, Scandinavia, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Not some stupid place for imaginary people in a movie. Elves and hobbits from lotr? Just fuck off.

  • @Skraelingful Øhhh hmm,, Tolkien var Doktari í norðurlenskari mentan og mytologi. Nær um alt í Hobbin og Ringana Harri hevur hann úr enskari og nordulenskari mentan. Tað er so at siga EINKI í LOTR sum IKKI stavar frá okkara leiðum.

  • Jesus LOL - I'm from Faroe Islands Nature doesn't rule anything here.

We have one of the most violent weather the biggest waves and LOTS of storm.

But Faroese are mastering the sea and the weather has no influence.

As an example we had 70 M/S of storm but not a single man got injured - A few houses got damaged.

A corresponding storm would kill sevral people in the US or Denmark - Because you build weaker houses than we do and are not prepeared.

  • @turbofritz2 u do that because the nature rules u too ! in denmark we build a much simpler house because Nature does not rule that we must build bunkers ;)

  • @mikejensenshow Ok yeah you could say that way. :) In the US they build houses of paper it seems when i watch discovery and see the hurricanes in USA they are about the magnitude of a normal Faroese hurricane but it's more the rule than exception that you see houses standing. The hurrcanes there destroy nearly EVERYTHING. And LOTS of people die.

    THey build too weak.

  • im from a canadian island myself, this place looks amazing!

  • Heaven on earth. Beautiful singing. I want to stay in the faroes for a few weeks

  • fuck these cunts, slaughterers.

  • oh,jeezus; stop overplaying it. Cut the musical crap and speak.

  • In Faroe Islands nature is our bitch. She don't rule notin' yo.

  • @BrandurJustinussen Too sad you're talking about of your ass about that.

    We are nature's bitch.

  • Just watched this and omg what an exquisit video! The pictures were lovely and the music was beautiful. Can I ask tho, are the captions translations of the song? Or just advertising? I want to leave in a turf roofed house. :)

  • OVER 300,000 whales, dolphins and porpoises are slowly killed every year as a result of entanglement in commercial fishing gear, including endangered and critically endangered species. If the Sea Shepherds are "Eco-Warriors", why don't they focus on that, rather than the 500 to 1,000 non-endangered pilot whales the Faroese kill and eat? Perhaps, that won't make good T.V.?

  • This was kinda gay..

  • Wonderful stone formations and those houses with grass on the roofs...Beautiful,magic corner of the earth.

  • @BieberShawtyForever1 I eat badgers.

  • @jjnomjqg uhh we do it to get food .. like u eat other animals .. no we're not the worst shame of the world

  • @BieberShawtyForever1. Killing an animal to eat is fair, killing an animal for fun or to prove masculinity is shemful and cowardly.

  • @BoyWithBlackWings07 here in the Faroe Islands they kill whales to get food!!

  • @BieberShawtyForever1 yeah, and so what? why are whales so fuckin precious to some people? its just animals, like cows and pigs

  • Love that video and it's a very beautiful song :)

  • can't believe that people discuss whaling on a video like this...

  • Considering the fact that the whales in the near future may become extinct..

I have mixed feelings towards the killing of whales, but you kill them and eat them, it is the lifestyle.

You could always keep them in the artificial swimming pools and build a kind of zoo..

You could make them eat drugs and train them for the circus..

but you eat them.. don't you think that's normal?

I don't think any of the people 'around' can judge you unless you do the harm and start playing with the food you eat

  • they eat the whales but americans dont eat the people they kill

  • man far nastan hjemve :D

  • ALLA SOM ÄR FRÅN SVERIGE GILLAR !

  • Question to people from Faroe Islands - Can you buy offical Adidas branded Faroe National football Jerseys over there? I want one

  • @POTSkyline here in Sweden we eat reindeers, not whales, as we dont have any whales in Sweden

  • @POTSkyline killing cows is more humane right? We Scandinavians love to eat what we kill, VIVA SCANDINAVIA, VIVA SCANDINAVIA, VIVA SCANDINAVIA!!!

  • @vaultkeeper2 scandinavia sucks dick mate.

  • @Domor73 dont say so until you visited it

  • Comment removed

  • @Domor73 "Whale meat again, don't know where,

    Don't know when,

But I know we'll eat again,

    some funny day"

  • you might wonder why we Scandinavians kill the whales, its because we dont eat them alive

  • @tasteegold7772 :

Oh, what's with filming elevators and transports?? By the way, what makes you think I'm the "towel boy in high school who always got wedgies and thrown into the corner and stomped."?? In Hong Kong, that would already kick you out the school.

And more, are you insulting my elevator filming hobby?? I wonder what would happen if you say "wonder why your interested in a small steel box with only "one way out" and can be locked " to the other elevator filmers on youtube??

  • @GODBLESSAMERICA71 1) I'm not a lesbian... and 2) who gives a shit about olympics..? scandinavia also has quite good sport people, yet you say that america gets the most medals at every game..? why are we even discussing sports on a video like this?!

  • @GODBLESSAMERICA71 it is very eazy to point fingers. the pigs, cows and chickens gets threated very bad in general in all countries in the world. The whales do live a free and happy life.

You are the only one who are talking about cell phones and jet skis. The whale hunt is a Faroe tradition and I do think they have the right to keep there traditions.

  • @ownya8 Even thou you don't deserve a reply to your made up shitty channel ill give you one. It use to be a tradition in my great country to hunt indians. That stopped. So the tradition excuse is bull shit! So fuck you very much!

  • This place looks cold and depressing.

  • @FANADICALCOWHEAD Well it is not cold and depressing... Its the most beautiful place on earth... its not the US where 1000 crime's happens every day... you can leave your car keys in the car, and no one is going to steal it. you can say hi to people and they are super nice to you. Im proud to be Faroe'is...

so tell me... whats better about your country?

  • @24tagueule I don't participate in the whale killings, but people like you make me want to go out and look for whales and kill them, just so I can overcook your propaganda riddled brain a little more.

  • the music is perfect... and the photos, the view, together with the music makes me feel like i'm longing for this place. even though i have never been to this place yet, it feels like to go there really means like i'm going home... breath taking. brings tears to me eyes...

  • when i went there i was mugged

  • I only want to go there so I can put grass on the roof of my house.

  • "where nature rules..bahhh!How were FAROE islands considered the best islands in the world when they treat animals like this???they should be punished and killed like they kill dolphins! stooopid ppl!at least in AZORES islands we respect wales, dolphins and even sharks.hand by hand with nature..not this..shit i saw!if u want to celebrate ur adult age, grab some friends, buy some beers or grab a chick and do the party!! Jury who classed Faroe islands the best in the world should open their eyes!

  • @24tagueule you know nothing! keep you mouth shut!

  • @24tagueule

what food do you eat man? what makes it less evil to kill other animals? those animals your'e eating?

I suggest you just sh*t the f*ck up about things you don't anything about, your'e just another stupid guy who never knew were the meat your'e eating are coming from..

  • @HLSMusic wtf?learn to write young kid! WHALES ARE SPECIES IN DANGER FOOL!!! there are animals who are made to be eaten and others to survive.thats what we call a food pyramid. and WHALES are wheyyyy far to be in the above list.so be shamed of yourself. we all are animals.would you like to be chased?i dont think so kid! one day sea sherpherd will visit u.

  • @24tagueule I don't think that you're in any kind of position to tell others to learn how to write/spell.

  • @24tagueule The pilot whales are not in danger in the faroe's. we kill about 1% every year if we get lucky and every year theres 5% born. and im going to be on the show whale wars. and talked to Pete Bethune and Ady Gil.

they say that Paul watson dont think about the whale's at all... but only the money... and im not lying...

so next time kid... read what's true... okey?

  • @24tagueule we treat them nicer than you...

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995 yeah..i can see that lol

  • @24tagueule watch a slaughterhouse video, and pay attention to how the animals live, and then watch a faroese whaling, but also look at how a whale lived it's life before it got killed... if you're too ignorant or too stupid to find out, then I mean go to another video to watch how they lived...

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995 fuckoff jonna, see you fucking all over facebook aswell trying to defend your silly island.

  • @Domor73 that must be someone else... there are plenty of other girls named the same as me...

  • what language do the speek here?

  • @GJPS09 Faroese ;)

  • JonnaJacobsen1995 the first rule of life is kill ore be kill

on sec you don´t know where yours food com from

  • @fridi88 eg eri føroyingur... -_-

  • I wish we could hunt vegetarians. :D

  • When it is summer, it's just amazing there. Go up to the mountains, long away from civilizatons, and just listin at the birds sing. JUST WONDERFULL. :)

  • My 2 cents about killing dolphins and whales. 1. they are mammals, not fish. 2. just because something has been tradition, it doesn't mean that it should go on forever. cannibalism has been tradition. 3. dolphins are as smart if not smarter than dogs and they saved many people from sharks and from drowning, going back to ancient times. 4. dolphin and whale meat and blubber is toxic. it absorbs mercury and PCBs which cause cancer. Faroe island health officials advise against eating it.

  • @taoros so, just because they are cute and smart is because we shouldn't hunt them?

  • Amazing.............Greetings from Cyprus;)

  • The true pearl of Denmark .-)

  • @fortheloveoftunes This is NOT Denmark!! This is the Faroe Islands, a country by itself. This is the true pearl of the atlantic, Faroe Islands.

  • @Vaskibjorn A part of Denmark just as Greenland

  • @fortheloveoftunes do you consider Greenland to be Denmark? Everyone knows, its not. Greenland is a country just like every other country. The same counts for the Faroe Islands. I hate when the Faroes are being called Denmark!

  • @Vaskibjorn A part of the danish kingdom then .-)

  • what town is at 2:14??? PLEASE :)

  • How arrogant are you!!!!!

  • Jesus fucking christ, does every single comment on a youtube video about the faroese have to be about whale killing? Just shut up for one second and come to the faroe islands and experience them yourselves. Stop being so ignorant, following every single word of propaganda blindly.

  • @TorkilDjurhuusVisual you are offending a lot of people with your blasfemies. Be more respectful with religions. What kind of people are you that don´t respect anything? Too much isolation maybe...

  • @Maryjoends you talking about respect? where is YOUR respect to the Faroese culture and their ways of life? Don't talk about respect when you're showing none, you hypocrite.

  • Hey...i see some debate about the pilot whaling here, i live in the Faroe Islands, and have my obvious opinion, but can´t you people hear about or see the Fsroes without talking about whaling?? I mean... c´mon it´s only a small part of our culture. Thumb up if you agree!!!

  • @njaln I can´t. The only thing human beings can´t avoid is our memory. And how can I forget those images? I can understand you want to live in peace in your beautiful island... but even peace has a cost. You live in the world and the world is looking at you. You can´t act as if nothing wrong is happening there. If you feel that you can offer us something more, then get rid of that "small part of your culture" that hurts so many people.

  • @Maryjoends i can risk that you´re a vegetarian...but if you´re, and even if you are, hens, cows, pigs etc are being "tortured" in the world around us, they live in SHITTY conditions... search for it on YT, fx. to make Fois Gras geese are beeing nailed to the floor and fed up until they can´t get fatter... I know our whaling looks very brutal, but it´s become very humane with new regulations, so look around you, please! before you talk about pilot whaling ;-)

  • @njaln Okay, I have looked around me. May I talk about whales now,Sir? :)

  • @Maryjoends You do that...but i don´t like it :-(

  • @Maryjoends the only thing that is threatening whales is sea pollution. you civilized human beings have forgotten where meat is actually coming from. you ignore the "animal massacre" in your own world. you obviously believe that meat grows on trees. our hunts and slaughters take place in an open enviroment. your slaughters are hidden from the world, because your eyes can't handle it.

we're depended on our fragile economy, and the food that nature gives us. we are whalers. just get over it.

  • @HeyPeni We were whalers until 1985. At that time whaling was forbidden and, we have survived!!! Your fragile economy???? hahahahaha. You don´t know what is a fragile economy. You are not the victims, the whales are.

  • Also, a man killed some baby seals about 3 years ago and he was sent to prison!!.

    EG ELSKI EIN GOTT GRIND!!..

  • In 2007.... Ask the world now!!!!!!!

  • Shall I show you my country? Come on!!! Everybody is proud of their country. the problem is when you just see your place and you don´t see anything else..... STOP KILLING WHALES!!!!!!!

  • So.. How tough is it for a Swede to move to the Faroes? Anyone know?

  • I'm from Shetland and the nature people who have invited themselves here have ruined Shetland.

We can't even kill a bird or a seal now......

  • @Njugglesvatn Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Can you tell me about that please?

  • @Maryjoends, Hi, yes I can. Unfortunately we are ccontrolled by Europe, Britain and Scotland.

None of these countries know anything about Shetland but they control every part of our lives.

We have a Scottish Government agency here called Scottish Natural Heritage(SNH) who think they own Shetland. We had some whales In Lerwick harbour a few weeks ago and some people came for a look in their small boats. The next day SNH said the people were too close to the whales......

  • @Njugglesvatn Okay, this looks like a conspiracy against your Isle!!!!. Always the same thing, nobody wants to hurt you. They want you to realize that Nature is not yours.... and if you don´t want to be a part of the European laws,be independant, but with all the consequences. No more money for you, no medical assistance, no more subsidies... You want to be free but freedom has a cost. Isn´t it fair?.

  • @Njugglesvatn Will you become independent? Maybe some day.... but you won´t have all the benefits that you have for being members of the EU. You Islanders want everything and that´s not possible I´m afraid. The only beings that are totally free are whales. No doubt. They don´t need money to live on.

  • @Maryjoends, I'm not sure but something HAS to change. I suppose the nature freaks will only be happy when there are no people in Shetland - just "nature".

I see Paul Watson is "looking for trouble" in Faroe this summer........

  • @Njugglesvatn Trying to do the right thing is not looking for trouble. You live on an island but you are not isolated unless you want to, we must interact to make things better. What is right for you maybe it isn´t for the rest of the world.

  • Its like a Mini Iceland xD

  • You can't criticise people who slaughter animals, chickens, cows whatever for burgers and then say it's ok for you to slaughter whales - you contradict yourself. You can't rationally argue for what you do, it's pathetic. Two wrongs never make a right. Open your eyes, think for yourself and admit that you and the islanders are just plain wrong in doing what you do. By the way, I'm vegetarian.

  • The majority of the world abhor what you do. These are creatures who love, feel and give to their 'pods' as we do to our families. They interact, they grieve and play. If you have any brain at all you will, like others who USED to be invovled in whaling, consider what you are doing and stop it.

  • @susan2016 I totally agree with you. And we are thousands.... maybe millions of people who think so. STOP THE SLAUGHTER OF WHALES!!!!!!

  • Shame on these islands for continuing to barbarically kill a sentient species. There is blood on the hands of the Faroes.

  • a lovely film always wanted to visit the islands as i am a keen angler hope to get there in near future

  • Very relaxing..I wonder what is the temperature in the summer...I ve also made a video of my city..Please watch

    watch?v=M6NTZRQJ6Co

  • @theoaristi53 Will all that blood about and the sweat of many people hacking away at defenceless mammals on the beaches, I'm sure the temperature is very hot in the summer.

  • @theoaristi53 Relaxing??? Go to the bay in the summer and yo will see a very relaking scene of the slaughter of whales.....

  • hasin sangurin eitur "eitt dýpi av dýrari tíð"

  • we don´t kill dolphins !!!!! we only kill pilot whales if they come in between our islands !!! we don´t hunt them !!!

  • @jogvanhvithamar

When Hitler said "we only kill jews, niggers and mental deficients" did that make it right? Perhaps if the world said "It's okay,we only kill Faroe Islanders when they stray away from the Faroes" you'd accept that as a viable reason to murder people of your area? NO? Why? You are making the exact same void argument. There is no justification for murder.

  • @templarseries how can you compare jews to whales..?

  • góður sangur, hvussu eitur hann?:D

  • I have just now realised how beautiful my home country is... Oo

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995 You discriminate between murder and murder between species yet I bet you know nothing about these creatures except they are defencless and you can prey on them for sport...perhaps if you didn't murder you wouldn't have to advertise your home country on youtube and you would get more tourists!

  • @susan2016 you obviously don't know, that compared to a chicken born in a slaughterhouse, the whales live in heaven... -_-

but what makes you think we do this for a sport..? Oo we do this for food, just like a lazy-ass american would go down to mcdonald, who "by magic" appeared there... Oo

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995 You can't criticise people who slaughter animals, chickens, cows whatever for burgers and then say it's ok for you to slaughter whales - you contradict yourself. You can't rationally argue for what you do, it's pathetic. Two wrongs never make a right. Open your eyes, think for yourself and admit that you and the islanders are just plain wrong in doing what you do. By the way, I'm vegetarian but I wasn't always. I thought about it and acted accordingly.

  • @susan2016 I am not saying that it is wrong to kill animals, but they should kill them more painlessly... and even let them live life a little happier... but most faroese people would much rather eat whale meat than a chicken coming from a slaughterhouse, because of the ways they lived...

but some people are at fault too... they take pity in the whale, but ignore the animals at a slaughterhouse... and those animals NEED help, yet you are helping those who don't need help...

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995

It is extremely beautiful indeed. I guess I can't trick you to trade then, can I? ;)

  • @Andrekky no way... xD

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995

    Ack, goddamit!

  • @Andrekky muhahahahahahahahaha!!! xD

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995

*frown* This is going to be difficult, I can tell.

  • @JonnaJacobsen1995 Son you are one incredibly lucky person to Live in a country that is a landmark for how all countries are to be in the years to come in order to sustain the earth.

  • Beautiful island but sick minds to kill majestic mammals of the deep. Sentient yes, feeling yes, just like us feeling pain and loving their young and enjoying the company of others of their species. What harm have they done us? Some day we'll realise how sick we have been. WE have interefered with nature's cycles and foodwebs and disrupted the balance. Leave the whales alone to enjoy the peace of the seas.

  • @susan2016 Save your lecture for YOURSELF. What we do, has and always will be sustainable - it's how nature intended it to be and how people have survived through all time. Take a look at your own country, think of all the countless animals that are being bred for one purpose alone in shitty unforgiving surrounding - and you ("you" means all of you writing this nonsense here) call us things that are totally uncalled for. At least our animals aren't brought up in utter misery!

  • @edfead Cetaceans are mammals like you and I and evolutionarily speaking similar in both intelligence and emotional states, and have family members (pods),they grieve and love.It has been proven that even "lesser" creatures do so,but cetaceans are not "fish",they are like aliens with similar or better intelligence than we. They communicate using their own language.

How would you like it if someone hacked one of your relatives to death? Saying "someone does it too",does not justify murder..

  • @templarseries "with similar or better intelligence than we. " BULLSHIT

  • We've always killed defenceless creatures and we will - what future is there for this planet if people like you just "do things because we've always done them"? Stop and think. These are sentient intelligent creatures. Your island is not dependent on this senseless behaviour, tradition or not.

  • @edfead Always so agressive with people... you don´t know how to react before different opinions without violence in your words.... I´m scared to go to your Islands. Very agressive!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Maryjoends I know how to react - When I visit other cultures I may not even half of the time agree with their way of life, but, it is THEIR way of life and I can respect that AND live with that. If I am aggressive it is because I am simply fed up by people who constantly bitch about other peoples garden when they have a big mess in their own. Leave it to us - we'll stop the killing when we find the time right for it, if WE decide that it might not be good to eat the meat cause of the...

  • @edfead I´m afraid this won´t happen.... It´s very arrogant of you to think that you can decide about the future of the species of our world. As for your health, you are right, you can decide for yourself but not for your children´s health... Time will say.

  • @edfead I think it comes down to this: those pilot whales are cute and humans are not. If we were talking about killing rats or worms noone would give a shit. But it's like killing pandas, almost. It's totally hypocritical but humans are the most lookist fuckers on the planet whether it is about judging members of their own species or others species. In their eyes if you look cute somehow you have more right to live.

  • @sondano I guess you're right somehow. I just don't think that way. I think lambs are cute, but when they're all grown up, I have no problem "ending" them, preparing them, and then eating them, same goes for a cow, or a horse.. and yes, a whale.

  • @sondano i'd hardly say it's like killing pandas...pandas are almost extinct.

Contrary to popular belief, pilot whale is not.

  • @ManniMann1986 I know pilots are not even endangered but lookism has little to do with numbers. People hate watching pandas being killed not because there are only 1,600 or so of them but because they are so damn cute. Same thing with pilot whales. If they looked like giant vermicules noone would give a shit. Well , almost noone.

  • @sondano simple solution would be to not look, then...

  • @Maryjoends ...mercury levels in the whale.

whatever we do, it will be our decision - and scream all you like here on youtube, you are not changing anything.

  • @edfead Action-reaction- consequences in a short-long period of time. We can wait....

  • Do you justify the slaughter of any animal except Pilot Whales? If not, then why? Surely if they aren't sentient, they aren't capable of feeling pain or distress.

By claiming that animals aren't sentient, you are justifying animal cruelty. Because if animals can't "feel" anything, and they are merely automatons, then cruelty is okay. Isn't it?

You look at animals the same way most people look at insects. That's the problem here.

  • @TheMarkOfTheBeast1

What I care for is hardly limited to Pilot whales, I care for the sharks, the tuna, the turtles, the whales, etc. But I don't care for the sharks, turtles, and tuna for animal rights reasons because those animals simply aren't self aware, they're not at any high level of cognitive ability, they're creatures of instinct, but they deserve respect and to be protected from threats which threaten them with extinction. I'd never say animal cruelty is justifiable.

  • @sorryimsogreat2

So because an animal is less intelligent, it should not have its own rights?

Why would care for something that isn't capable of feeling? You've made the claim that these creatures aren't sentient, so why would you care for something that isn't conscious?

  • @TheMarkOfTheBeast1

I do look at insects the way I look at animals, because insects are animals -__- duh.

  • @sorryimsogreat2

Insects are generally considered to be automatons. It's rather silly to compare insects to dogs, cats and turtles.

  • @TheMarkOfTheBeast1

The actions of humans can even be described to automatons by definition, but insects and humans are animals, that is fact.

To your question no, an animal shouldn't have less rights just because it's of lower intelligence, it's breeding patterns should matter, environmental significance, it's threat to the ecosystem and other living organisms, it's economic value, etc.

I'd care for it because it is important, it runs our environment, it keeps things going, it has that right

  • @TheMarkOfTheBeast1

thats not possible , the eye doesnt see that far :p

  • @lalalajuice

My eyes have a zoom function. I'm not actually human. I apologise for being ignorant.

  • I would say, live and let live. Besides, this video has nothing to do with whale hunting, show some respect people.

  • and the pilotwhales kipe going higer ore stay stil so shut the fuck upp

  • Millions of head of cattle are brought to the slaughter every year and you can sit here and bitch about a few whales. Get real you fucking idiots.

  • Comment removed

  • @omphus I also do not agree with Halal methods of slaughter, nor the Kosher methods of slaughter. I am also opposed to the finning of sharks by their millions each year where the sharks are finned alive and the bodies dumped back in the ocean to drown. I can not abide the way pigs are raised in concrete pens and have their ears and tails cut off.

HOW anyone can support the abuse of animals is beyond my comprehension. The methods used in the Faroe Islands to kill the whales is barbaric. FACT!

  • @lilly2kool how are we supposed to catch whales ?

  • Comment removed

  • All the people on this island are like this guy:

    watch?v=vkG7FGVWsLA

  • @pieterftw In your country doctors give euthanasia treatment to new born babies.

    Your are the sick ones

  • Whales are not holy creatures! You live in a Disney fantasy world.

To treat an animal with respect is eating it with respect.

As I always say, save the whales for dinner.

    Bye!

  • Comment removed

  • Bloody savages. They'll kill sentient beings and poison their children all in the same breath and motion. Mercury poisoning must attack the part of the brain where morals derive from.

  • @sorryimsogreat2

How is it any worse than the meat trade in the rest of the world?

  • @TheMarkOfTheBeast1

    1) Poison meat

    2) They throw away a huge amount of it in the ocean(entire bodies)

    3) It is incredibly cruel and takes far longer then it takes to kill cattle

    4) They're killing sentient creatures. Killing culture, what about the culture of the pilot whales?

  • @sorryimsogreat2

    1) They don't eat poison meat.

    2) They're feeding fish the leftovers, which is good for the environment

    3) It's far LESS cruel than killing cattle. Cattle are kept in confined spaces and suffer for a long time before hand, almost to the point of torture. Furthermore, the killing methods for cattle is also far more cruel. Do some research.

    1) Yet the Faroe Island population seems to be generally healthy, probably thanks to the consumption of whales.

2). Not kidding anyone. What do you think happens to the leftovers, they just mysteriously vanish?

    3) No, it isn't. Cattle are often skinned alive and gutted whilst still conscious. It's convenient to assume that most don't suffer, because that justifies your hypocrisy if you eat meat.

    1) They have some of the highest mercury concentrations of any place in the world.

    2) You're really dumb enough to think they do it to feed the fish? I've seen the videos and pictures, the amount of bodies there spoiled the waters and covered the hab
