What makes it amazing is the whole combination of the audition. First, she appeared like a dunce when she couldn't think of "village". Then she took on more a comedian role than singer, with the "one side of me" remark. Nothing needs to be said about the middle. At the end, she acted like she hadn't a clue when she just walked off. Look how it turned out. One of those rare performances that simply floors you. Its almost like she KNEW she would win, but decided to just play with everyone a bit.

The first time I showed this video to my 7-year-old daughter. Half way thru her singing my daughter looked at me with teary eyes and said "I am going to cry.." Her voice REALLY is beautiful. This is her best perfoamnce ever. I don't really like the way she interpreted this song in her final performance, though. I guess she was under tremendous pressure.
