A lot of his stuff may sound similar to Clapton or Stevie Ray but at the end of the day every musician sounds similar to a legend, obviously from inspiration. Matt sounding like Mayer is odd, since they are from the same generation. I'm not dogging Matt. I just think he's Mayer-esque.

Mayer has stolen every lick he ever played. He's a shitty songwritter, and the only reason people talk about him is because stupid girls think he's cute and they imagine he has talent when in truth he has none.

Yeah he gets attention because of the "stupid girls" but that's not what he is. He is a guitar player, if Clapton thinks he's good then you have no room to talk. Every person has a flaw. He just happens to be a womanizer. You can't deny that he is good. and if you do then... I just think you're clouded with jealousy and/or hatred.

Better guitarists! Well at least more original. If you knew anything about music history you'd know this to be true. John Mayer has never done anything new. Is not an opinion. It's a simple fact when you know rock and blues history.
