So far I've brought about 60 songs from itunes and only about half of them show up "automatically" in lCoud. Some purchased songs from i-tune (notiably Mantovani Orchestra) showed up for about one week, and then disappeared misteriously, never to be seen again in the Cloud.

SO, I still advise everybody to BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP the old fashion way on your portable hard drive once you brought the songs form i-Tune.

I've never done that. You run the risk of having information concerning what you've synch'd being transmitted over the Net. Even worse, is the possibility of the actual data itself being synch'd over the Net to someone else. --- I prefer to copy may files manually. I know what I am doing and I'm using standard copy functions to do it, rather than synch software that often relies on timers, and connections to a wired or wireless network.

Requesting the data while you're on a device, from a specific source is "pull".

Permitting the pushing data to a device opens the door to hackers, trojan horses, spyware, malware, viruses,
