I remember watching this series in Romania in the early 80's; I was 6 or 7 then and Arabela used to be the highlight of my Sunday; I fell in love with the czech language and this wonderful series - i named my first dog Rumburak (: throughout the years, I kept watching children television, Disney products and other, but nothing ever came close to inspiring the same feeling of sheer joy - I hope that soon I will be able to watch it again

...also there were "Tree nuts for Cinderella", Czech also, and Maria Mirabella from Romania, and many GDR children's stories, plus Soviet masterpieces...I, too, never found through life anything from the West coming close to those ones from our childhoods!

And got disappointed because at that time I just got that bad sequel ... but meanwhile I got the original series on tape, too.

I'm hearing the original voices (if that are) the first time this moment ...

i remember this episode i watched some of the episodes on video tapes,it was weird seeing chechs movies dubbed in german though i always wanted to to hear their real voices but what choice did we germans had back then i had only eyes for arabella she was so pretty

Indeed, very loved this film. I like it even now! Pitty I don't understand Czech. Sometimes I understand things from the context and from what I remember from what I have seen, like 2nd class wizard, etc. I would like it to be subtitled in English.
