  • NOOOO, SHIT SHERLOCK!

  • Great song, sung beautifully.

  • epicness at its best ROCK ON

  • damn justin biever got pwned boo yah baby justin biever lost to a plant give that plant a award instead of that wussy justin

  • *pot explodes*

Me: Aw, yeah!!! XDD BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!! TOTAL BA NESS!!!

  • it has eyes

  • @kaylasummers104 I'm pausing and I'm looking and I still see no eyes anywhere so I'm thinking that MrSinister1979's theory that it's some kind of heat signature works for me.

  • See guys? A plant can sing better then justin beiber!

  • Audrey II is a great villain. The whole time, he made it seem like Seymour was in control of the situation, and that he was simply working wonders for him. In truth, Audrey II was manipulating Seymour, and stirring up chaos for kicks while bringing his evil plan into fruition. Seymour doesn't realize this until the end, when everything has just about fallen into place. When he confronts Audrey II, the plant suddenly lashes out with all the power that Seymour had unknowingly given him.

  • @ZashTheHedehog Agreed. perhaps a sub-boss in Kingdom Hearts?

  • This is in a way an unhappy ending because he has no balls.

  • Thumbs up if you'd pay to see this made into a "Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge" style dancing-singing boss battle.

  • lesson in this, 6 shooters somehow have more then 6 shots when shot by mean green mothers from outer space

  • @wolfie9113 It's Hollywood buddy they always do this

  • How can the world fight against a plant that eats people and sings that fantastic?

  • @dannyKOsprey How can it see Seymour?

  • @neofire10 i think those little black bumps above its lips are like snail eyes.

  • @neofire10 Perhaps Audrey II sees Seymour through his heat-signature or something. It's as good a guess as any.

Although of course "he can see him through the power of awesomeness" could also qualify :)

  • Great song. But does it qualify as a Big Lipped Alligator moment?

  • @ShadowFoxSF Not really, since it comes so close to the end.

  • @ShadowFoxSF Nooooooooooooo. It has bearing on plot :D.

  • Good movie, *great* song.

  • I'm gonna bust your balls :D

  • thats tough tittie kid! XD

  • On the old movie he actully shot the plant. The plant also won at the end of the old one.

  • The small plants reminds my of the Tiki room in Disneyland.

  • @NAVEMAN3 NAVEMAN is that you!? You like Little Shop of Horrors too? I just got into the movie after seeing the high school's musical production of it recently! LOL!

  • @CartoonPrincess15 The one and only! I love this song. I even saw the original which is not a musical but kind of have the original ending.

  • @NAVEMAN3 Oh, you mean the black and white movie? I seen that too. I enjoyed it even though it was a cliche horror film.

  • @CartoonPrincess15 Well it was an old movie. Not as old as the ones in the 20s, 30s, 40s, or 50s, but in the 60s it was a horrors movie. Other than "The Brain That Wouldn't Die" and "The Wasp Woman" It was a terror film.

  • @NAVEMAN3 I never actually enjoy much horror films, but I definatly liked the original Little Shop of Horrors, as well as the musical movie. I heard rumors of a remake of the first film. I might have to check it out.

  • @CartoonPrincess15 If you find it here can you send me the user link?

  • 13 people didn't know what they were looking at.

  • @PapaBear236 : They got no idea!

  • sounds me more like Tim Curry on RHPS

  • I LOVE Audrey II's laugh!!!

  • I got to joy to play Audrey 2 in high school. But we had to cut this song out. :( But i still would sing it back stage after the show was over! LOL!!

  • @disneyboy1 Why did they cut it? Audrey 2 ROCKS!!!

  • CAUSE I'M MEAN AND GREEN!

  • @doctorlit The play ROCKS!!!

  • @ninjachameleon That sounded dirty... Is the puppet in a museum somewhere?

  • I love when Audrey 2 says "No shit, Shirlock!" Levi Stubbs has an AWESOME voice!!! Thumbs up if you agree!

  • If Samuel L. Jackson was a plant he would be Audrey II

  • Such horrible music. I'm glad I'm a vegetarian.

  • I will never ever look at fly-traps the same way again.

  • just great

  • A2 sounds like it's screaming when all that stuff starts falling down on it, huh? Kinda made me hope it'd be crushed to death.

  • Voice of Audrey II- The late great Levi Stubbs, lead singer of The Four Tops RIP

  • my fave lines are

    no shit sherlock

    im gona bust your balls

  • ''This was your plan all along! wasn't it?''

    ''NO SHIT SHERLOCKKK''

    bahahahahaahahah<3

  • Man, thats one vulgar plant.

  • This seems a little sped up

  • NO SHIT SHERLOCK

  • he grew a little after suppertime 2 cuz he bite teeth into her and sucked some blood

in old one he sucked 50 of her blood

  • Awww!... where's the rest of it?

  • and idk else how

  • lol audrey had kids

    on vines

  • i kinda get now why NC didnt include this in his yop list. the song itself is nothing but just straight up awesome, so that was ehy i didnt understand. but the video to it.. it sort of doesnt feel like a musical number. maybe its because there is So much damn focus on Seymour instead of a BIG SINGING PLANT. what the hell did they think was the important part?

  • Fact: In the original ending, Seymour actually fires the gun at Audrey II and the bullets riccochet off him. Why they cut this out of the finished version is not entirely clear, but it might've been to make Audrey II seem less "invincible". However, that does mean that in the original version, even MORE shots were originally fired from the revolver, making it even MORE overfired. *Anime Teardrop*

  • I can´t stop thinking, WHY SEYMOUR TURN HIS FACE TO SHOOT A PLANT THAT IS TRYNG TO KILL ALL HUMANS!!!!????

  • 'Keep the thing, keep the it, keep the creature they don't mean sh**' XD

I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather be chased by a singing plant than the it or the thing.

  • @Cinedragon having tim curry hunting you down does seem kinda creepy:/

  • Balls of steel.

  • The plant is voiced by the greatest singer ive ever heard, Levi Stubbs, please look at vids on my channel of him using that amazing voice, so he isnt disrespectfully remembered as the voice of a plant!

  • While I do enjoy this song, (and the movie in general) I fail to see how these plants could take over the world. One word: Flamethrowers.

  • @Tsukasamacleod I have the answer to all your questions; the plant is singing. And from outer space. Your argument has now been rendered invalid.

  • LMAO at 2:31 with the singing buds, that cracks me up XD

  • AWESOME!!!! my 8th favorite villain song.

  • @metamaster5469 What're the others?

  • @MahSchoolworkMusic i,ll just show you the whole list of my top 30 villain songs... i,ve been dying to tell someone this list!

    cont.

  • @metamaster5469 That's an awesome list, and I agree with all the ones I know- except for me, Professional Pirates and Shiver My Timbers would be at the top, Toxic Love would be closer to the top (shush... I'm NOT obsessed with Tim Curry.... riiiiight?), Captain Hook's Waltz would be on there (from the broadway version of Peter Pan with Cyril Ritchards) and I don't know if I'd exactly classify Still Alive as a villain song.

    ...

Have you made a playlist with these? I'd love to hear it.

  • @MahSchoolworkMusic thanks! toxic love... you're right... i should,ve put it up higher. i never heard of captain hooks waltz... i think i'll replace still alive and gaston with savages from pocahontas and yodel adle eedle idle oo from home on the range respectively. i'll make a playlist of all my favorite villain songs if you want.

  • @metamaster5469 Captain Hook's Waltz is absolutely wonderful, as are most of the pirate songs in the Broadway version.

It'd be great to have a playlist! Let me know if you make one ^^

  • @MahSchoolworkMusic actually, i'd also like to replace feed me [git it] with i put a spell on you from hocus pocus and have master of your fate switch places with the worlds greatest criminal mind and replace master of your fate with secret of survival from mr. toads wild ride.

3: the mob song [beauty and the beast]

2:hellfire [the hunchback of notre dame]

1: in the dark of the night [anastasia]

yeah i know you didn,t ask for the whole list... but i wanted to share that. hope you guys don't mind...

  • damn that i was born a girl

'cause if i was a boy, i'd love to have Levi Stubbs awesome voice

    don't judge me

  • @lotten16 I am so gay for that voice... DON'T JUDGE ME!

  • -"Nooo shit Sherlock!"

  • Levi Stubbs is so good as the voice of Audrey II.

  • This scene should be scary but I found myself laughing really hard at it!

  • Though it wasn't in the play it's still a good song.

  • You know, I still don't get how Seymore got off clean. Do you expect me to believe, a whole building in the middle of down town gets destroyed, and no one sees a giant plant explode, or a man crawl out from the rubble?

  • @Dudinator123 We don't rat each other out in skid row.

  • @Owwin Well, I guess that's the reason why Mr. Mushnik had to die!

  • my favorite 80s movie, along with Killer Klowns

  • Man, Seymore looks in pretty good condition for a guy who just got smashed in the balls.

  • @Dudinator123 He didn't get his balls smashed... he ALMOST did.

  • the climax in this movie is just epic it has a catchy song it's funny and thrilling but in an upbeat sort of way thats why i love this song and audreyII looks awesome (don't get me wrong i like cg effects and all) but i can't compare it to the epicness of this

  • bust your balls are my favorite part but it seems gay

  • NOOOOOOOOOO SHIT SHERLOCK!!!! That's my favorite line in this whole movie

  • I love the way he says "When you lookin' heeeaa"

  • bye bye semore! lol!

  • its not cg, nor practical effects or wires.

its little gnomes running it :D

  • 2:39 to 2:41 is my fave shot

  • Whenever Audrey II laughs, his laughing reminds me of the clown from Stephen's King IT. I don't know why, I think both of them sound familiar...

  • @fsdfj89 maybe the person from Stephen king's it is the voice for Audrey 2

  • @ruready42 not at all. Thats Tim Curry and there are a TON of similarities vocally. but Audrey II is Levi Stubbs who has one of the most amazing voices ever.

  • WAS Levi Stubbs. He passed away last year. He was truly one of the best and won an award for his voice in the movie. Bow head in silent tribute. He MADE the movie. FEEEEED me!!!!!!!

  • @ayokay123 Feed me Seymour. Feed me all night long.

  • Comment removed

  • @ayokay123 Tim curry is not in this movie...........O.o

  • @beavistv369

I think I must've been trying to reply to another youtube video. "It" was the movie with Tim Curry. Wish I could erase my comment. Thanks

  • @fsdfj89

same, but i think tim curry's is better

  • @fsdfj89 Maybe Levi Stubbs did both. If you don't know who he is...he plays Audrey II

  • are they singing too fast

  • FRANK OZ better known as YODA!!!

  • Does anyone know where I can download this "VERSION" of the song...? Itunes has a completely different singer singing it, and I don't like that version.

  • Download this video's audio on Dirpy

  • is this a puppet or is it cg?

  • Good old-fashioned 80'ies puppetry. And amazing work at that.

  • Damn! They did a good job of that. First time watching this video I thought this was taken from a star wars-esque re-release.

  • It's not CG because they didn't use that back in the 80s

  • it's all cables

  • Actually, it's all MONEY. Cost a fortune to do those effects back then without CGI.

  • You know, I was going to say something about how Seymour's six-shot revolver fires too many bullets when Audrey II is using it... but then I remembered that said revolver is being fired by a GIANT SINGING SPACE-PLANT.

Suddenly picking nits seemed rather silly :)

  • @MrSinister1979 Plus someone on IMDB already mentioned that. I was surprised at how well that big hulking thing moved in this movie, kind of creepy.

  • @MrSinister1979 You see the problem here is, Audrey II doesn't really break any rules of logic. He is from another planet. Thats quite plausable. And even that is really farfetched, a six shot gun firing more than 6 bullets still doesn't make sence. Cause they are built that way. I mean, this movie has a realistic tone, even though a singing plant is in it. But it's not like he does anything that a singing plant couldn't do.

  • @hubacchris You're missing my point. If one can accept that a murderous sentient plant can fall from outer space, talk, sing, convince someone to commit murder and be dextrous enough to fire a gun, then accepting that said gun can fire eight rather than six bullets is actually a small leap by comparison :)

  • @MrSinister1979 Ten shots and a cash register, sounds about right for the average evil space plant.

  • The baby pods are kinda cute :)

  • The original ending is sooooo much better. I mean...wasn't there supposed to be a MORAL about how murder is wrong?

  • yea we are watchin this in skool we already watched 5 times so i kno all the lyrics

  • I played it in a school play years ago! It is so funny!! Every year we would have musicals and we chose this one! We had so much fun and I got to play Audrey!! Such a blast!!!

  • Except the play had a moral. The movie ends by teaching that murder is fun.

  • That is true, I was just saying that it was fun to play Audrey!

  • with computer graphics today no one would be needed to play Audrey

    its' sad realy

  • and whats wrong with that?

  • There's nothing wrong with the original ending. I think the moral was the ENTIRE POINT OF THE FREAKING STORY. Tis new ending rewards the serial killer with the girl of his dreams and a cozy little house. THEY RUINED MY FAVORITE PLAY/WOULD-HAVE-BEEN FAVORITE MOVIE!

  • well blame that on the test audience who whined and complained about how it was too tragic

  • Here's my plan. Don't buy the Little Shop DVD. We'll cut off their revenue until they release a director's cut.

  • In all honesty I doubt they'll do it.

  • Well, if they didn't change the ending, we wouldn't have this amazing song. lol

  • Actually, the song was in the original ending, Seymour actually put a fight up against Audrey II in the original version of the movie. Audrey II didn't have the intent of killing Seymour by collapsing the shop on him in the original ending, she meant for him to get up so as to be able to eat him.

  • I know the actual ending. Audrey II was supposed to just eat Seymour, but there is an alternative version of the movie where Aurey does the "Somewhere that's green repirse", dies, gets fed to Audrey II, Audrey II sings this song(But he catches Syemour and eats him), and the people take the leaf sampled and the plants take over the world.(That song is known as "Don't Feed The Plants").

  • Ok. I couldn't have known, but just wanted to spread the knowledge

  • Actually, I don't think it'd really matter to Audrey II if Seymour lived or not. I mean, so long as his blood was still fresh he could eat him either way.

  • Indeed. It's like Faust getting away with making his deal with the devil - it guts the story in the name of a cheesy, wretched happy ending.

    Good going, Hollywood...

  • @ExclusiveCheese I know that morally, the original ending was better, but I think this ending fits the movie. With the play ending, you would see the actors singing Don't Feed the Plants. In the movie, they just die. And technically, this ending leaves with a shot of a new Audrey 2 plant growing, meaning that someone else could cause destruction to the world and Seymour would still be in trouble. Also, in the movie they made him more sympathetic and less evil seeming. Just my take on it...

  • @TheOffenda Because the puppet moves and acts more realistically than lazy CGI would make it. Sometimes tangible is better.

  • Not to mention CGI wasn't around in the 80's.

  • @coasterjudge yes it was but it was like just starting out

  • @Johnnycatmeow and also looks life life while cgi looks more computer animated

  • That guy was in Ghostbusters, both times

  • 3:51-4:02 listen carefully, you can hear the "Babies" saying "Mean green mother from outerspace," from the original.

  • Love Levi's voice!! "Mean green motha from outta space and I'm bad" LOL!!!

  • "That's tough Titty kid!"

  • Every household in America! Thousands of you eating!

    NOOOOOO SHIT, SHERLOCK!

  • Levi Stubbs the most amazing singer ive ever heard, who never gets recognition for it either, check out my channel so you dont just know him for being the voice of a plant in a film!

  • i LoVe how Semore NEVER MANAGES TO LOSE HIS GLASSES thru this whole sherrade

  • Yeah XD Or like in Harry Potter he never seems to lose his glasses either, like, ever.

  • megaexplosions, your right, that is the most unrealistic thing about this film . . .

  • but it is a MOTHER!:D

  • I always thought when he was saying "Mean grean motha" I assumed it was short for saying "Motha fucker"

    LOL

  • @Dmasterman It is.

  • I thought the planet is a mother, since it's budding.

  • This was a good movie. I havent seen it in forever.

  • 3:15...

  • piranha planet tries real life.

  • i have this movie at my house i love it.

  • such a good movie. fond memories. thanks for posting!

  • 12 bullets out a 6 bullet gun. nice shootin tex!

  • what show is this again?

  • The movie is called "Little Shop of Horrors"

  • that is one poorly constructed building

  • Well it's Skidd Row...

  • I love this song and all, but still hate how they changed the entire ending just for the sake of a test audience :(

  • I loved the original ending...

  • me too... wish they would release a DVD with it intact...

  • the puppeteer work in this film was phenomenal...

  • ahaha loveee Levi Stubbs

  • That gun has way too many bullets in it.

  • So you noticed it too? I thought I was the only one counting the shots. Well, with so many vines, it might have been easy for the plant to reload (ha ha ha ).

  • It was a magic gun. Even botanists gotta pack some heat.
