That is pretty cool! I used to see them around lots in the small towns, not much in the bigger cities though..

I remember when I was your kid's age, and there was a bounty on fireflies. Can't recall what entity was offering the cash though. But they wanted people to harvest them for research.

LED light is the future for energy efficiency, much better then fluorescents even. They are cost prohibitive now, though.
