  • do you mind if u can make a vid on texturing tutorial's? or recommend me 1?, because i made a pretty good model of a computer desk with alot of appliances, although it doesn't look very attractive, all the objects just look grey, when i colour it though its just a basic colour, i want it to be like real life textures like metal for the computer monitor or wood for the desk....

  • I wanna be able to learn how to texture like this anybody know how or anybody know of a tutorial or something?

  • 0.59 looks like a boar..

  • you need to work on your lighting the textures look almost black most of the time, other than that great stuff

  • @lebello. Ya although this is pretty old, lighting and rendering were never one of my strong points, unfortunately.

  • i'm starting wtih maya and next assignment is uv mapping, i may need some help.

    Nice work

  • yo soy un niño y en

parte lo estoy descargando porque me di cuenta cuando vi el video de god of war que dice que el programoa es maya

  • Im going get a new desktop, but i want a system that would handle photoshop, maya and the best performance out of the latest games. What is best processor, i7 or Quad. Oh ye, i have founf a motherboard sli Cuda Support (P7P55 Supper Computer).

  • once i figure out how to make good textures on photoshop, i'll be able to do things like this! B-l

  • @Dudes124

You can modify actual textures, and paint in zbrush too

  • what file type do you have to save it to to import maya characters into photoshop i cant fighure it out those models are amazing 5stars XD

  • nice!!! i'm about to do that tomorrow =D

  • thats a nice giraffe =D

  • so what better??? blender, or maya???

  • Maya all the way

  • Maya definately

  • Maya. It has more power, better interoperability, better support, and better physics.

  • Wow, that is very good

  • how do u record this thing

  • He made a camera in Maya and animated the camera and the platform, and then attached it to the giraffe.

  • i think you are working for a big company.you're models are absolutely great:D

  • cool

  • how long does it take you to make those?

  • Thanks, ya that one took me a while. the funny thing is that i created that environment just to show off the machine gun and the sand bags, but ironically the environment became more interesting i think. It also took me just as much time if not more to create the environment than it did to create the gun and sand bags.

  • Can you please tell me how did you manage to make those wet maps on the ground 1:18.

  • How did you do the texturing? Make drawings in photoshop (from different perspectives), and import them into Maya to turn them into 3D objects?

  • For the texturing, after having finished the model i unwrap the UV's using the UV Texture editor in Maya, then i take the UV map into Photoshop and i create the textures by compositing other textures on top of the other.I place that texture on a material in Maya, and place that material onto the model. When i make a drawing/design,it is usually on paper.I scan it,then in Maya i create a two sided plane and texture the design onto it,this is what u will see in your side/front view while modeling

  • Man I especially like your war environment...it's very immersive and has a nice atmosphere to it.
