the harmony , the originality, so progressive, it's music to my ears in the true sense of the expression. I remember my first listen to the l.p. and fell in love with it like it was yesterday, and wish it still was yesterday. They certainly don't make music today like they used to.
I still listen to this album and it still inspires me and picks me up from the humdrum of life sometimes. All i can say is keep on rockin Ambrosia :)
That sound engineer doesn't know the band at all... TWO keyboard players and we only hear the guitar most of the time... the true atmosphere of this song has been lost.
Having said that, to be able to play "Somewhere" as a 5 piece in a live studio setting like this is pretty amazing. Vocals are simply excellent. Good job!
Ambrosia just recently headlined the CalProg Festival and Blew Everybody Away by ditching the Soft Pop of David Pack, and playing Only hardcore versions of their Progressive Rock songs!!
that is one fantastic sounding snare! great job from a great band, nice to see they're still in top form. Somewhere I've Never Traveled was and is my favourite Ambrosia record, and it's nice to actually hear them doing some material from it. i'd kill to hear a live version of Cowboy Star or Dance With Me George, but both require orchestral accompaniment...
@bollacious Sorry, I should have been more specific. The drummer has a certain robotic quality to his voice which suggests he was using autotune. I don't think they were all using it though.
@babyruth412 Hey, maybe so. Certainly possible. It's interesting, I'm just kind of discovering these guys. All I knew of this band were their MOR hits. I love this tune! That Rick Cowling guy is awesome, and I understand Doug Jackson plays guitar for them now. He also has some good stuff out. Great band --- great vocals (with or without AutoTune).
This album was/is so very special. In my perception, filed next to the Strawbs, Rick Wakeman, Mandalaband. But where is that sweet cabinet with vinyl's anyway?
This was so nice to come across and to see the spot light on Burleigh who is as talented as David & Joe. I wish he would have sang more on their releases. I like his vocals the few times I have been lucky enough to hear them. This is the first video I've heard him sing that has excellent audio. Thanks Ambrosia members for the great music you gave.

I'll never get tired of listening to this album.
I first had it on 8-track tape in October of 1976
Then I forked out the eight dollars for the album in November 1976.
"I still have the album" and it is in good shape
I wore out the 8-track and I know longer can buy a needle for my turn table.
I found the CD in September 2010. It was like finding a buried treasure.
Thanks Pack, Drummond, North and Puerta for the memories.

Nothing against this guy, but I miss David Pack. Nothing like him or his voice.

@Prosciutto14 Also the bass is far too low in the mix, sadly the production doesn't do justice to this fantastic song.

Nice cover band. David Pack IS Ambrosia.

A superb band, the only thing missing is their former unique and beautiful lead voice, David Pack.

@furiouscake You probably already have, but check out Ambrosia's Killer Live performance of The Brunt here on you tube.

@furiouscake Agreed. Their 2nd album was one of the few overlooked masterpieces of the last 30 years!

Not only that our bands share the same name, I also wrote a song with this title... but sounds quite different. Greetings, Jen

I really don't think they used autotune. Otherwise there wouldn't be that guy singing flat near the end.

@babyruth412 i could only hope they wouldn't disgrace this music with that horrible contraption!

Sounds pretty good, but why did they have to use autotune? It didn't even exist when this song was recorded. ugh.

vocals worthy of goosebumps!
