It really pisses me off that every YouTube video now seems to have people bickering about UK vs US, SEALs vs SBS, Delta vs SAS etc.
In reality, the guys that serve couldn't give a shit who was better. They're happy because they are a supreme fighting force, equipped out of their minds (yes, even UKSF use gucci kit - they are allocated over £100m a year for kit and training) and they're going out and doing what they've always wanted to: Special Operations.

I've done CASEVAC for SEALs, Green Berets and various European special forces - all of them are the same mentality. Britsh SBS conducts exchange programmes with DEVGRU on a regular basis. Skill wise they are practically the same level. Kit wise, the US tend to have to upper hand because their government throw money at them. Either way, its a waste of time you guys bickering, you'll never really know ;)

The reason why u have to do the sas selection and then the sbs selection is because the sbs like the sas is a multi role regiment bit trains more for sea operation and once they've completed both selections are. Completed they can be deployed to all aspects of combat.
@GarryHarriman JTF2 and CSOR are the primary Canadian SF regiments. JTF2 took over counter terrorism responsibilities from the RCMP. CSOR is the Canadian Special Operations Regiment. They're very similar to the US Army Rangers in role and training. They also back up JTF2 on operations. JTF2 would be Canada's equivalent to the SAS/SBS since JTF2 does a lot of marine training aswell as land based training.

@bullseatpizza I know my fair share, Its called the Diemaco C7 and its basically the Canadian version of the M16. Their isn't alot of difference except the Canadian weapon is made of higher quality, making the bolt stronger because the Canadian military can't afford to keep replacing these like the Americans can. The c8 carbine is to the c7 what the m4 is to the m16. British special forces use both of them.
@mogroov how would you know that. Are you are member of the SAS or SBS? The selection course for the SAS and SBS are both the same. Infact the SBS selection course is longer. You are most probably some fat cunt that sits and plays call of duty all day.
I'd say they are near enough on level. They have to be as many SF units work very much alongside one another(TF's notably - and not just within the UK either; could be they deploy with SFOD-D, KSK etc), so there are standards across the board. Selection is now a common module, with trade specialism the only real separation. Regarding their roles; that's like comparing apples to oranges! each unique, neither necessarily 'better'.
the SBS is just an amphibious version of the SAS they work along side where air and sea are invovled and there traing is pretty much the same except for the Special air service focus more on the air side and the special boat service on the amphibious side

@bullseatpizza I know my fair share, Its called the Diemaco C7 and its basically the Canadian version of the M16. Their isn't alot of difference except the Canadian weapon is made of higher quality, making the bolt stronger because the Canadian military can't afford to keep replacing these like the Americans can. The c8 carbine is to the c7 what the m4 is to the m16. British special forces use both of them.

I'd say they are near enough on level. They have to be as many SF units work very much alongside one another(TF's notably - and not just within the UK either; could be they deploy with SFOD-D, KSK etc), so there are standards across the board. Selection is now a common module, with trade specialism the only real separation. Regarding their roles; that's like comparing apples to oranges! each unique, neither necessarily 'better'.
As for fame, you're quite right

the SBS is just an amphibious version of the SAS they work along side where air and sea are invovled and there traing is pretty much the same except for the Special air service focus more on the air side and the special boat service on the amphibious side

Oil has always been traded in dollars and as soon as it starts trading in a different currency the dollar will no longer remain the global curreny and will drastically loose it's value. Iran now wants to stop trading oil in dollars, which is why you hear all this propagander against Iran so the government can gain public support to go to war.

I also heard that a number of western reconstrustion companies are making huge profits. And of course Iraq has probably taken out huge loans from the US and UK in order to pay for the reconstruction. I think the west now has a huge infuence on the Afgan and Iraq economy now.

I'm from America and I think the British military,especially it's special forces,are extremely organized and skilled.I currently in training for special forces called the Navy SEALS.So I respect anyone from ANY country who has a high level of ability in the water.And the amazing thing about the SBS is,they are trained equally on land as they are in the water!Scary scary people..also, you guys shouldn't think all Americans are like that.

@LteeP At the time of the comment I was just starting out training and stuff,because I wasn't old enough and didn't want to join the military ASAP.I'd rather enlist when I'm 22 or something and be full prepared.So at the time,I was unaware that you should refer to them as Special Operation Groups,and not "Special Forces" as in the army.
2)I was training trying to get noticed by SEAL motivators,not many in my area so I need to ace an inhuman PST and have ASVAB over 90 to even be looked at lol.

Apparently, they'd been tracking him for months and were less than a few clicks from his position, but they had to back off because the Americans wanted to get him.
