@PrinceOfDarkness1029 Well yes and no, theres the Metallica fans that are fans of only their good stuff and know every song from the first 4 albums, then theres fans that like all of their stuff and know about 80-100% of the songs, even the mediocre stuff. And the ones who just know the top 10 or so songs of them. Honestly a lot of the stuff on Load/ReLoad/St. Anger isnt worth knowing. However I enjoy a lot of it.

Outlaw Torn, Fixxxer, Attitude, Bad Seed, Ronnie, The Cure, Bleeding Me, I could go on and on. However, they can like it or hate it all they want to. Won't change my mind. Won't change theirs by saying Screw them and STFU and everything else. Metallica has always done things for themselves anyway.

I'd like to see Dave Mustaine come out with a song this raw and powerful and emotional. He couldn't do it . Load and Reload are Metallica's BEST albums in my opinion. I like the first 4 albums as well but the last 2 just suck.

@Poisonnachos Speaking french does not make a song emotional. Plus, Dave Mustaine's voice is HORRIBLE. His voice is best suited for the fast, mean, thrash songs Megadeth is known for. He only does the slower songs to compete with James and he fails miserably at them.

@jdogsmokealot I heard this in my college psych class: alcohol strips away discretion and fear. Thus, it could be safe to say she really does love you...she's just afraid to admit it while she's sober. Strip fear away with some alcohol, and the heart pours out quiet beautifully.
For example: I found out I "played both sides of the field" when I was drunk. I tried to blame the alcohol, but found I could only DENY the attraction to both sexes while sober: the feelings didn't go away.

People everywhere have different tastes. If they don't like this side of Metallica, good for them. Both of these albums, load and Reload, have great songs. Outlaw Torn, Fixxxer, Attitude, Bad Seed, Ronnie, The Cure, Bleeding Me, I could go on and on. However, they can like it or hate it all they want to. Won't change my mind. Won't change theirs by saying Screw them and STFU and everything else. Metallica has always done things for themselves anyway.

While I do feel that this song is underrated, I don't see the point in arguing about metal fans hating it, they hate it because it's not metal, that's it. I can see arguing about the black album and such, but load and reload are not even the same genre, therefore, all arguments are irrelevant. :P

I don't know how Metalllica fans hate on this. Sure, it's not thrash metal like in the 80's, but it's still Metallica, and imo, this is one of their top 10 songs. There's so much feeling to it. Metal isn't just about how fast you can play.

Omg... It's simply incredible how Metallica can transcend genres (almost) seamlessly. THIS is what I think separates Metallica from other metal bands. Sure, they aren't the darkest, fastest, most technical metal band in the world, but in the end, the instrument doesn't matter, but simply that you express yourself with music. In pure music, the instrument disappears and pure communcation happens between the artist and the listener. That is why Metallica will be viewed forever as a musical legend

This world is very sad in the fact that very few people really listen to Load/Reload because it is out of the Metallica norm. That is extremely sad and the world of people that do not like Load/Reload is pathetic in saying Load/Reload is not Metallica because it is probably the best Metallica there is. I just don't get people sometimes. People dislike this song!!! That is even sadder than this song. Oh well, I guess the people that like Load/Reload will keep them for ourselves. Problem solved.

@LordBizarre112233 and they only did it for two and a half albums (half the stuff on garage inc. was not heavy) yet most metal elitists want their heads on a steak for it their heavy stuff easily outweighs the lighter stuff so i dont even see what the big deal is hell with load and reload despite not making heavy music Metallica still managed to make music better than many other bands/artists from the same era whose specialize in traditional rock
