So for one a Subic is neither Orthodox nor serb, and Two, we are talking about the 14th Century, there was no serbia and as far as Orthodoxy is concerned the first orthodox church in the area was established in 1219 and the 14th Century under Pec. The serb Orthodox church was recognized and established only in 1920. Tvrtko was no serb.

Orthodox christianity dates back to the byzantine empire, even if the serbian orthodox church was not defined till the 20th century (greek, Russian) they were christian and in kosovo, Croatia exterminated nearly a million serbs, jews and gypsies, the independant state of croatia had was pro facst and had its own SS and volunteer nazi troops, The serbs were predominantly the victims of ethnic cleansing in ww2 (the numbers are frightening) ,There were many atrocities in the region

The croats like the serbs had wars against the ottomans but were under the ottoman empire as they were under the hapsberg empire,(austrian catholics hence the rise in catholicism), You couldn't really be in a position of power in the ottoman empire unless you converted to Islam ( like the bosnian muslims or the albanians) but they too were not allies of the turks but ruled by them, and they rebelled too

The orthodox serbs never gave up thier religion, they fought repeatedly against the turks, But the serbs, croats, greeks, bosnians and albanians were all under ottoman rule at some point, The serbs surrendered the least refusing to convert etc, Kosovo has serbian monastries and history dating back more than a 1000 years, Orthodox is christian and serbs were allies in ww2 ( not like croats who massacred 500000 serbs & albanians joined SS to slaughter serbs), you seem confused

WW2 serbia under Nedic was a fascist state under Hitler, serb Mihailovic (chetniks) were Fascists too. Serbia was the first sate to declare itself "juden Frei" free of Jews.. The "kingdom" of yugoslavia in WW2 under serb rule joined the Axis powers. Serbia took the advantage to ethnically "cleans" non serbs from the kingdom..

@zdssh , but i am confused by your history, The serbs are orthodox and have been since the 8th century, As were all christians in the Balkans, the albanians became muslim in order to gain favour with the ottoman empire (turks who invaded inj the 13th century)as did many bosnians, Croats didn't really become catholic in big numbers till much later, (especially under the Hapsburg empire and Vatican pressure, when yet again they converted to improve life and opportunities ,,,,

@47issa - serbs orthodox since 8th Century..? the east west schism started in 1054, it was centuries later that "orthodox" churches appeared. Serb orthodox church did not exist till 1920..
Croats accepted the Catholic religion in the 7th Century on mass but did not convert from orthodoxy as there was no orthodox religion to begin with..
Gain favor from Turks..? For serbs there was no need to "convert" to Islam, Ottoman empire did not quash religions, it's only rival was the Catholic church.
