I've also heard from real satanists that Satanism is the actual worship of Satan but they just don't say that because a satanist actually publicly announced this and when they did a lot of people either chose not to join or actually quit the Church of Satan. I know what you mean. On the satanicscriptures site you can listen to a interview by the point of inquiry organization. In that long interview you can get a better sense of the goals of satanism as a whole. Included is the revenge part of their philosophy, so yes in theory they don't mind hurting people if hurt by others.

Yes LaVey does say those things with in the Satanic Bible , However, you must keep in mind that revenge is an objective concept within the church itself. Through out the years Christian (as well as many other religons) have always practiced so form of "vengence". Also LaVey Satanists live by a modified version of the christian indoctrinated "Golden Rule". They beleive in doing on to others as they would like done unto them at first, then they treat others as they treat them.

Thank you so much for putting all this up, I LOVED listening to Magus Gilmore talk! He's so eloquent and to the point. But I disagree with there not being an absolute evil. I think rape is an example of something that is absolutely wrong, no matter when or where in history, who the rapist is or who is being raped.

I think what Gilmore was referring to with an "absolute evil" was an entity, not of anything. Like how Christians say that "God is all good", I think he meant that no one person, entity, or thing is all good or all evil. That though I agree is an absolutely evil act, no matter the person or reasoning, as I've never seen any case where a person is "forced" to rape someone else.
