@TheHornet79 when this was recorded which was sometime ago I think I just worked it out from watching the guthrie govan video of it (which explains why some of the faster passages are a bit hit-miss since I couldn't slow it down back then :P

ya, it mutes the strings while tapping so you dont get any eccess noise

For example, if you're pulling off (that is, like slightly flicking the note when you release, if you get what I mean), you can still get the open notes to ring out. However, they don't ring out of their own accord

How can anyone say this is fake? This is a great piece of work, don't get me wrong, but people who put 1000+ hours into shredding CAN and DO acheive these results on a regular basis. Is it really that hard to believe? Great job mate, your effort is well worth it!

i dig the performance. not perfect, but nice dealing with the improvised licks.

the one place you seem to lack solidity in is the articulation and phrasing, especially in the slower parts. even the theme could use some major work to get it absolutely perfect, and the first solo, as iconic as it is, needs to be more connected and less squeaky.

time for me to tackle this one myself, haha.

I'm afraid for the most part I worked it out. It was a fair while since I played it so I may have nabbed bits from tabs or so, but it's actually a rather simple song to work out if you take it piece by piece.

I've been trying to work it out myself. Did you work out the tapping bit at 1:09? or is there a tab? I can't find a tab for that, I worked out all the notes nearly but they don't end up in any sort of tapping pattern so it's hard to play. If you used tab, can you post it, if not then well done for working it out! I'll have to try harder.

It's a little hairband that I slide on to get rid of some excess string noise (some of the bits played in the vid are impossible to mute on the lower strings - and they're the ones that make the most noise!)

Learnt it partly by ear, partly by a tab that was lying around on Guthrie's forum. Don't really know the link for it I'm afraid so you'll have to search it up.
