No, wrong! There is no "first come, first serve" in nature. It's all about "survival of the fittest", I am sure you've heard that phrase before. The larger, more dominant pride male will sometimes keep the females all to himself and not share a single one. For example, do you watch Into The Pride? There were two pride males, Brutus and Otis, the former was the larger, more aggressive of the two and would not share a single female with his smaller brother.

Good question. The hyenas had a brief scrap with the lioness and she was chased off by about 8 hyenas. Not worth the fight, I guess. Hyenas don't fear the lionesses as much as they do the male lions. Because of commercials in the original recording I had to truncate this video (a long story). Sorry.

That sounds about right. The lioness had the boldness of a male Lion when it approached the Hyenas. There were so many, and I wouldn't expect a Lioness to do this. Hyenas and Lionesses have some sort of respect and fear for each other.
