  • About the challenge/contest:

    1. Is your project a real device or made up? - If it is real what is it?

    2. Can I go to the contest site and see the other entries?

    3. Way cool now I am a fan.

    Please see my channel

  • @vectorcinema

    1. Made up.

    2. Check the description of this vid. I just added the link to the contest page. You can view all the entries there as well.

    3. Thank you very much!

  • Nice one! But was it ONE CUBE or MANY CUBES? 'cause I failed a whole project by making the whole object from ONE CUBE and I couldn't separate it the right way...

(BTW: How much time did you put for that model? "Leave out the rest" XD)

  • @TDTAlpha Each section (lens, body, rear) was a separate cube or a 6 sides cylinder with no caps.

It took me a weekend to make this, from start to finish.

  • @ShepperdOneill Ouch, what a work... positive reinforcement!

  • Really like your work on this. Fantastic! Would love to see a tutorial of the box modelling .

  • wtf machst du das beruflich auch weil wenn nicht dann solltest du es tun das is ja mal richtig nice geworden O.o°

  • Not wanting to spam anything,so... you video is really great i hope i could do models like you. The next tutorial you should do is how to get the textures right, like making UVW Maps.

For all the stargate fans out there, check out my channel, i have some stargate animations, they arent as good as his, but they look good.

  • Good work man this video is favourite at MaxonC4D channel , congrats:D

  • that look so fucking real Oo

  • Something that maybe easier and just as useful, maybe you can record yourself modeling and just have a series of you modeling different things. I always find real world examples better than "Here's how a you model some random fruit".

  • @invisghosty Thats a good idea, but most of the stuff I model, (professionally for clients) I am under a contract that states I am not allowed to share or post any of the work publicly without permission. I was going to make a reel of my work, but I would have to get permission to use the shots from the work.

Anything I post here on my channel is my own personal work... which is only a small fraction of the work I do.

  • @ShepperdOneill I understand. I suppose you could ask if you could share how you make the model for educational purposes ahead of time but I don't know if you would be comfortable with that. But as far as your personal work, the Phendrana Drifts scene would be one of those things that would be great to see a sped up time lapse (not to fast or we cant see what you're doing!).

  • @invisghosty The Phendrana scene started out as a simple box (cube). I probably should have recorded myself doing it, but forgot too.

Maybe ill do a breakdown/tutorial about it.

  • ya i thought it was real... jesus

  • @OfficialSoundBox Well if you thought it was real, then I have succeeded in doing it correctly. :) Thanks

  • @ShepperdOneill i watched all your videos last week, and im sure you know its impressive, but damn man. you really know how to make it. Everything you do looks amazing man

  • @OfficialSoundBox Thanks man. I appreciate the kind words.

  • @ShepperdOneill no problem, you earned it. did you do the picture in the beginning? Those goggles look sick

  • @OfficialSoundBox No. The image in the beginning was the contest banner on the site.

  • Awesome! Congrats! BTW Any tutorial about modeling?

  • @doguiagb7 Thanks! When I get some time I may do a modeling tutorial, but I am unsure as to what it will be about.

  • You deserve way more subs just for awesomeness

  • @Ujussab lol Thanks :)

  • Damn I thought I was looking a real camera. You got some mad skills!

  • @codebean *at a real camera

  • @codebean Thanks man! That lets me know I did it right.

  • very nice =)!

  • omg awasome

  • damn sexy

  • Again, a fantastic artwork. I love everything you do!

  • @deejayn4cer Thank you!

  • True skill man, keep up the work.

I'm really feeling the colors you used as well.

    Suits the piece well.

    I must ask though.

    Will it blend? Jk.

    -Izzy

  • @KinectArt Will it blend? I dont know, but I would hate to blend such a device as this. lol Thanks!

  • @ShepperdOneill lol!xD ♥
