Excellante holmes you've got a very similar voice and a great consistency in your guitar work. I can tell you are actually trying to connect to the song and express that raw sad power that weaves through it. Usually I like to see videos that are more interesting then someone's desk and backroom but the imagery of a stripped down dark room actually added to the effect and resonated with the lyrics. Well Done!
Thanks for the nice review; I'm glad you liked my version. I hope you're loving Josh's new album as much as I am. He's an incredible songwriter and I love what he's done. Feel free to check out my version of "The Curse" if you haven't yet. All the best!
Nice cover. Looking forward to the album when it's out.
The chord you're looking for is comprised of C F# and A (relative to the capo), so you can call it a F#dim/C chord. But really it's just kind of setting up the B7 because the F# and A are also in B7 and the C just steps down to B. Still, calling it F# dim/C is probably best for simplicity's sake.
Great cover :)
