I do have severe obstructive sleep apnea and it affected my daily life. Very much like this. I got myself a CPAP and it works like magic but he needs to undergo sleep study first.

He has a classic case of SLEEP APNEA. It is best for him to have a sleep study done so that he can get a C-PAP.
