  • i didnt know jonah Hill was in the turtles!

  • @titicus3312 and what about that super cool guy that sent you this for vday :-) he's cute right

  • My fave! This song makes me smile more than any man ever has. -3

  • La cancion es preciosa yo no la conocia, pero el otro dia al ver los simpsons la escuche y busque y esto fue lo que encontre... Es super bonita para dedicar a la pareja amada

  • @pablopablito4 Estoy de acuerdo contigo!

  • Good song and Good sound quality.

1967? I was a Junior high-school kid, who loved Western songs.

  • THEY LATTER STARTED OVER AS FLOW AND EDDY .. i SAW WITH ALICE COOPER

    THEY WERE GREAT

  • @churchboy58 saw them with zappa, they are on the "just another band from

    LA" lp.

  • It's a good song!

  • I didn't know that jack black was the turtles vocalist

  • Listen to Biffy Clyro's first 3 albums if you want epic music and some of the best lyrics you'll hear and listen to The Mars Volta - Octahedron album if you want experimental sickage. There is more talent now thanks to the glorious MP3 spreading music across the world, the record companies have just stuck with the same shitty pop music to put on radio but what else do you expect?

  • #381

  • people are not less talented today, you just need to know what to search for. there is good stuff out there, just look harder.

  • look at the band!

    now listen to the trumpet!

    now back to the band!

    now look at the trumpet!

you can't see it. that's right! it is there but it isn't!

  • for some reason, im totally attracted to the dude singing in the top hat <3

  • @MissTopNotchAZ1 His name is Howard Kaylan (aka Eddie of Flo & Eddie).

He's a married man now, at 64 years, in Seattle.

He still performs with his sidekick and

Turtles co-founder and Nashville college teacher

Mark Volman (aka Flo of Flo & Eddie), also 64 years,

with a back-up band to complete the current Turtles line-up,

    on their summer tours.

Chip Douglas(on bass) is still active in music arrangement

and lives in Hawaii, while Johny Barbata(drums) has a band of his own in OK.

  • @MissTopNotchAZ1 Continued....Lead guitarist Al Nichol retired from the music industry sometime after The Turtles disbanded in 1970,

and rhythm guitarist Jim Tucker left The Turtles

    by mid to late 1967.

He still remains musically active. :)

  • Is it just me, but doesn't a prominent member of the band resemble Tony Hancock?

  • The guy with the red hat looks like jonah hill.

  • 6 people do not know what a good song...

  • i'm 19, and i detest my era! i wish modern singers/ artists would realize you don't need to look like a freak to be famous!

  • lol they look so awkward XD

    lovethesongthough<3

  • they look like they are having fun.

  • --------------ANNIE BARZOLA TE SIGO AMANDO--VICTOR DE SAN JUAN DE MIRAFLORES----P E R U

  • JACK BLACK

  • Man, these guys could harmonize!

  • In Puebla Mexico there is a school that uses this song for its graduations.. I have graduated on last year from that school and this video reminds me to my partners and a lot of really good friends

  • i remember this song from a Super smash bros Commercial, Fricking Nostalgia

  • 0:08 his cum face.

  • Mr. Wonka?... is that you?

  • so this is the song.

  • esa rola es lo masiiimo :D

  • Jonah Hill at 1:18?

  • Never realised before that he's got a lisp.

  • the guy in the film, no country for old men, did he take his hair style from the singer

  • Excellent song, but remember, like any pop music era, there was tons of crap out there. The radio stations and record companies back then would latch onto the hit songs and play them to death, and there was no internet to give consumers the mind-boggling variety like we have today. (by the way, Kurt Cobain would be in his mid 40s today, older than me. Incredible.)

  • Three of The Turtles are also in my contact list at Facebook:

    Howard Kaylan - lead vocal

    Chip Douglas - bass

    Johny Barbata - drums

It's always a treat to not only listen to the

biggest hit of their career I remembered listening to

on the radio since age 7-8 in 1967,

but to have these three gentlemen as my Facebook friends as well.

Thanks guys for being a part of my music circle..

and Happy Holidays to all the music fans, near and far. :)

  • love the cane

  • Lip synching --as not a guitar chord in sight--- and they had no wireless back then..

  • Y does everybody type a long comment

  • This is really great. Love it.

  • the 60,s and 50,s were the geatest era,s of muic in term, sof class elgance talent. But now howling filthy sicking rap jungle noise crap and hick music except for celtic women group and celine deion. Today,s so calledd artist would run like a scared dog tail between it,s leg,s yelping and wetting it,s self out of sheer fright. If they to go one on one withe class talent elgance of the past. 50,s 60,s 70s some 80,s. TODAY,S SO CALLED ARTIST WILL NEVER KNOW CLASS ELGANCE TALENT AND NEVER WILL

  • anywho to all the non mental midgets out there, even tho they are lip syncing as American Bandstand was known for. its still a great song:)

  • look up to what raleighman3000 says, that fits you totally. You are a disgruntled older person set in your ways and havent kept up on the times and hence cant be taken seriously. Think as you may but ask any great musician you know what I said or look up your favorite artists if they are alive and see if they mention anything about the younger generation having more access to information and hence are becoming better technical musicians at an early age, Ill await my apology if you are an adult.

  • presentation a bit gay but a cool song.

  • no seriously, how is the weather?

  • classics there the best

  • like if u ended up here from the simpsons

  • Sempre bellissima ...anche dopo 44 anni !!

  • Willy Wonka

  • I always think of The Simpsons when I hear this ;)

  • I understand doing a lip sync for a live show (TV) - but why be so obvious ;) Great song, but at least make it look like your plugged into an amp, maybe roll out a real piano , LOL etc... (this WAY before wireless connections). Fantastic group and songs though, no doubt.

  • THIS VIDEO SUCKS ASS!

    Now i have your eyes.

    THIS VIDEO IS AWESOME

  • @GamingChannelEditer Attention whore.

  • lo bueno del video es donde el cantante principal le ace caras al corista jaja pero muy buena cancion

  • i always loved this happy little sat. night date song...he has a beautiful voice..

  • I enjoyed the video and always liked the song. And I'm happy they finally put enough chairs on the stage for them. Almost as many chairs a a Eugene Ionesco play!.

  • now this is good music! the "artists" nowadays just care about looking good. but these ppl love music. the lead singers loving his job, the guitarists are playin the guitar like boss`s, the guy on piano just doesnt care, dude on drums is just happy to be there, and that in particular bassist just made my day. i dont know why they put him in the back

  • @FreeFlores ya they obviously dont care about looking good lol.

  • Why has the host got to talk while the Group are playing? That is just ignorance.

  • With the people who are dissing this song GGAL (go get a life) becuase you are sad. the beatles, the turtles and the rolling stones had names lined to nature yet all the bands today should look up to them because this is the best thing that has happened to all of music history COME BACK PLEASE! COME BACK TO LIFE!!!!!

  • They Were Great...........:)

  • SCROOL UP YOUR MISSING THE VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the guy at the Start HI THERE! little jump amazing.. but amazing song and video!!!

  • Flo (The Phlorescent Leech) & Eddie

I bought Zappa's "Chunga's revenge" and I found that the singers were great. About a month ago I realised that the singers were Flo (Mark Volman, the one at the piano) & Eddie (Howard Kaylan, the lead singer).

    Great guys

  • if someone sings to me this song.i'll be shocked!!! :)

  • @bvg83 Imagine me and you, I do

I think about you day and night, it's only right

To think about the girl you love and hold her tight

    So happy together ♪♫

  • ah this is WAAAAAAAAY better than rap, hip hop, modern rock, techno, etc

  • @luiginater51 yeah but rock is the best out there this is like pop rock and this is better then rap hip hop techno

  • To all the asses with the nasty comments, SHUT THE HELL UP! Back then, people were way more talented than now and for your information, it's not like singers nowadays sing live in their music videos.

  • @MegaCharlieRose

Absolutely agree with you. Great song!!! All thumbs UP!!!

  • @MegaCharlieRose Don't get me wrong, I believe that you have a really good point but, you also have to keep in mind that music videos these days are a lot more complex, and usually take place in many different areas just for one song, thus making it a little challenging to continuously sing the song.

  • @MegaCharlieRose People arent less talented now. I'm 40, but you sound like every older guy on here. Its not like you are keeping up with current music (or anything beyond pop).

  • Comment removed

  • @raleighman3000 they are way less talented in mainstream music at least, like pop

  • @raleighman3000 People ARE less talented now, I'm 15 and I 100% agree that todays music is complete shite.

  • @TheBrinkOfInfinity

that's purely an opinion, people is more diverse than ever if you ignore the general pop.

  • @raleighman3000 Yeah plus this song isn't much "talent honestly" the whole tune is very basic. its just very catchy old school pop song. haha

  • @MegaCharlieRose actually its a proven fact that people have far more access to music now, including lessons and different styles and thus younger kids are getting to be far more talented at an earlier age due to this fact. Therefor overall people are infact far more talented overall than before the information/technology age. That being said there is alot more crap too overall, but thats not to say that you arent proven 100% wrong in your mindless statement.

  • @lookslikeyouhadenuff

But even that isnt the point, the comparison is moot. They are doing that with then technology / social / education/ as it emerged THEN, today kids are doing stuff in the same way with the current tech / soc / educ etc as it confronts them now, of which some heroes emerge who will be sung for their contributions to the (currently emerging) whatever of their day, just as this lot and their peers are celebrated for the contributions of their day and we still enjoy now. !!

  • @Fizzypop1211 But I clearly proved my statement to be correct, you would have to re-word their entire people were more talented statement to be like people who never got taught anything who learned on their own who didnt use technology, who werent technically great musicians etc etc etc are way better. By your own statement you prove me correct. Besides to get technical on it people before the turles were technically better musicians then too huh? and so forth and so forth? I dont think so...

  • @lookslikeyouhadenuff

You know that wooshing sound - that's "the point" going over your head...Careful you don't hear it again or it'll echo inside your head...

  • @Fizzypop1211basically what your non musically inclined petty intellect is saying is: if you take 2 people who the same exp, talent, passion and give them the same instrument that the person with full access to notes, books, instructional dvds, teachers, etc is going to be less technically advanced then the guy who has no access to knowledge of any sort. I disagree as does every musician and virtually every great artist of the past. As a matter of fact Ive seen many world class artists agree with me

  • Comment removed

  • @Fizzypop1211 It clearly shows that 1. you know absolutely nothing about music nor do you play an instrument. 2. That you have absolutely no knowledge or experience and thus your argument is rendered completely invalid because all you are doing is trolling(if you know what that is). Ill tell you what when you hire a lawyer next go hire a guy who is self taught who never had access to anything in his career and see how far he gets you, Im willing to bet you wished youd picked the schooled person.

  • @lookslikeyouhadenuff whooosh whooooosh!!! HA HA What it shows sonny Jim is that A/ you dont understand the point I made because it compliments the previous points and you wouldn't be such a defensive twerp, B/ You are clearly insecure C/ You are trolling and accusing others of what you are doing doesn't change anything D/ I play a number of instruments, some better than others, as do my family for generations, professionally on occasions and for fun. I'll use 1 syllable words next time for you

  • Comment removed

  • ♥ .

  • who cares if it's lip sync - during those days... it's okay...

  • Somebody upload "THERE YOU SIT LONELY". Please!

  • 1:18 Found Waldo

  • Lip sync? Looks real to me. For you who think its a lip sync job, how can you tell?

  • @DrTerminus

It sounds perfect studio quality, the audio levels are perfect, the singer isn't putting any strain or effort into physically singing. Not to mention the drum kit isn't mic'd, the guitars aren't plugged into anything, and the singer isn't even singing into a microphone. lol.

  • @DrTerminus the only legit reason it could be lipsynced is because back then they lip synced live performances sometimes i believe...correct me if im worng

  • this performance is really cute but it's too bad that it was lip-synched!

  • Is that Chip Douglas on bass? Must be one of his last appearences with them before leaving to produce the Monkees.

  • I think that one of the most fasinating things about the Turtles is the fact that they developed their own special method of projecting their voices entirely without the aid of microphones.

  • @armstrongbrosband Um, this is 100% lip synced.

  • @scdevon Yeah, I know dude. It was supposed to be a joke.

  • @armstrongbrosband You'd be surprised how many people would think that this is a live performance.

  • @scdevon I've got nothing against lip synching. I mean everybody did it. From the Beatles to the Monkees.

  • @armstrongbrosband This is high quality lip syncing and it's from a high quality color videotape master. Good audio, too. Some lip syncing back then was just awful.

  • @scdevon ;)

  • love it.

  • Simply a great song.
