  • great tutoriall!

  • i love watching ur vidz and all and i also watch and create my own MALE version of it....howerever my ques to u is why dont u ever make videos about male hair do's???:-(

  • @kemjungle i've done 3 unisex styles. But remember, I'm not a professional stylist. I just do my own hair and only know how to style myself. That's why I took on a new male contributor, mark, to do styles that work for men,

  • Thanks for the vid! Trying to buy some scarves on eBay , but for the square scarves, how big does in need to be in terms of inches?

  • @nnwachuku i think at least a foot wide

  • @nnwachuku or 36"x36" (inches)

  • @Arabic4Beautiful it's a regular turban style but with pipe cleaner curls. my hair was too thick to fit into the scarf, so i just left the top open :)

  • Rocking this style 2morrow!

BTW, you and your hair are drop dead gorgeous!

  • @cecillbill awesome! thank you!

  • LOVEE !!!!

  • Where do you normally buy your scarves? Would you please suggest a few places? Great video!

  • @NubianNurse79 sorry i'm just replying to this comment. i've bought most of scarves at consignment/thrift shops. i also check the scrap bin at fabric stores. you can get some funky patterns pretty inexpensively.

  • which style did you do for :15 with the purple scarf you look so classy! you put ur hair in a ponytail and pushd it forward right??? how's the scarf tied?? :-)

  • Thanks so much! I'm wearing one tonight!

  • I think I will go get one, from the beauty supply store! The thing with my hair is how thick it i and it's not super long yet, it's kinda in between to me. So anyhoo, I made a sock for mine and haven't even tried it yet, but the turban also looks great and cool for the summer.

  • thank you,was looking for this tutorial,it's perfect!!

  • I definitely want to try it out. Don't know if it would look that good on me though. It is quite special and unusual here and people would probably laugh at me. But I don't blame them, after all the turban jokes on facebook and all, haha.

But great video! It looks cool and I am going to try! :-D

  • hey how did you do the 1 with the purple scarf

  • hey how did you do the 1 with the purple scarf

  • I've been planning on hiding my hair for a year and spent all night watching vids on how to tie/wear a turban and UR vid is the best I've seen. Thank goodness people arent leaving racist comments like them other vids.

  • @ :15, ur picture- which is on the far right- can you make a tutorial on how you manage to do that particular turban look, how do you arrange the locs in the turban that way?

  • I love this look.

  • i like that look. so cute.

  • I'm a little more conservative but I really like that last one. Very nice accessory. Your videos are great sis!

  • LOOOVVEEEDD ITT!!

  • I seriously love this tutorial I actually tried it and it made me sexier lol

  • This is becoming a style??? this is alot of the ways i wrap my hair up at night...and then when i get up in the morning and i go to the store..my mom always says...go back in that room and get that thang off ur head...coming out the house looking like that....lol......and now its a style...well i want to say hahaha to u mom.....hahahaa

  • @Ebony1ntrue haa! well, if you looked at the photos, i think it's all about how you accessories the turban/scarf so that it doesn't look like you rolled out of bed. makeup and accessories, paired with the right coat and complete outfit make this look stand out. the turban has been a style for a looong time and is now coming back into fashion.

  • @Ebony1ntrue hahaha I was thinking the same thing.

  • @Ebony1ntrue said, "hahaha to u mom.....hahahaa" lol that was too cute! :o)

@chescalocs thanks for the images and taking time to share you styles!

  • @Ebony1ntrue girl i was just saying that for years i have been doing this lol nice to know i can wear it in the day now lol!

  • @Ebony1ntrue lol i was just thinking the same thing. I used to wrap my hair like that when i was getting perms! lol

  • hej franchesca, that's grea.. i have like 50somethin scarfs and i always wear them, just in anothet way/technique.. this is a nice change.. =)

question: how did you make that style that is shown in the picture of you at the beginning of the video... because that looks just amazing!!!

  • AWESOME!!!! I love ur hair I cant wait for mine to get that long btw u have really beautiful skin, what products do u use? LOVE THE VIDS!!

  • thanks! honestly, i don't use anything on my skin. just wash and go and a little lotion. no foundation, powder or concealer. i usually wear a little bronzer, but i don't think i'm wearing any in this video.

  • The last one was the best. Did someone tell you you are awesome today? You're awesome! Thanks for sharing.

  • haa! well thank you. i needed that

  • Great look! Definitely will be trying it on my TWA.

  • I have a brand new pre-made turban that I haven't thought about until watching this vid! I'm definitely gonna wear it now, and I think I'm gonna go get a few more colors too. Thanks!

  • perfect!

  • Love it! I will definitely be rocking this for spring/summer, with some big hoop earring WOORRKK!! lol I loved the headband style.

  • ooooh yes! big hoops would look perfect with this!

  • @ParanoiddAnddroidd thank you!!! Every time I see your comments I pretend it's thom yorke leaving them for me. haa!

  • Not everyone can pull off the turbie look Chesca but you work it!

I, on the other hand, would look homeless.

  • @shadowlita OMG i just fell out laughing! you're hysterical! i miss you!!!

  • @kimmaytube sweet! i know you'll add your own twist and make it look super cute!

  • I LOVE it! Very beautifully done.

  • Iv'e been wearing my turbans ever since i got my big chop... a year ago. they do come in handy when i dont feel as confident. :) But i rock my turbans big and afro chic' , Like Erykah Badu! :D Thanks for the VID!!!

  • @lilsashie69 oh man, Erykah is a great example of turban chic! her style is so effortless and funky!

  • 0:19 beautiful!!

  • @LaViBohm agreed!

  • You are sooo prettyy!

I'm so gonna do a turban in one of my vids lol.

First i gotta find beauty store! lol

  • @smiletone you're sweet. thanks! if any guy can pull it off it's you!

  • those are some cool ideas! Have you ever tried the gele African wrap technique? It's a really creative way of wearing wraps, but I usually tone down the style. I like doing that with my rectangle headwraps but I can't find one thick enough to hold a good shape lol.

  • @peachesandsunshine9 no! i haven't! but i'll check it out for sure. thanks for the suggestion!

  • This is really neat, when I find my scarf i will do it! ^.^

  • I love the turbans. Can you find those at the beauty supply store???? : /

  • @MissLaurenB18 yes!

  • i love headwraps and they can be classy. but i was never a fan of wearing this particular style outside the house becasue its how i tie my hair up to go to bed..it always reminds me of picking cotton..so i guess i'm just not diggin this particular trend. i like the Nefertiti style turbans better. or the ones with the bun in the back.

  • Can you do a tutorial for the look you had @ 0:16? Thats my favorite look.

  • @mickey4310 the photo of me on the right? that was after i had done the pipecleaner curls. it's the same style, just with curls coming out of the top. if i do the curls again i'll do a video of it

  • Should i say Bobo dread or Rivival woman

    P-) all love baby girl

  • you look so cute here Chesca! great job!

i tried this look last week and i received some good compliments. i'm definitely gunna do it again.

and girl, why'd you pay $9 for that black turban?! I paid $2 for mines at the Black Beauty Supply store cuz that's where all of the old church mothers get theirs! LOL

  • thanks! glad you were able to rock this style!

thanks for the suggestion, i'll have to hit up the beauty supply. i might have paid less than $9 but it wasn't too expensive. but $2 sounds a lot better!
