What will we do in Bahrain? NOT A GODDAMN THING! Our 5th fleet is on HOLD! Waiting for fucking OBAMA to tell our forces to forget the money we put in that "shithole" and leave.
Screw the Auto industry. For the price they get for cars if they cant stay in business who cares. And as for you union guys you need to learn that respect goes both ways. Many times ive been on union loading docks and treated like crap because i wasnt union. All labor should be respected and not just the card carrying union members.I support organized labor but you have to admit that there are problems within the unions themselves that need to be corrected such as unrealistic expectations in work r
When the competition do it at 25$ an hour so they all lose their jobs. When union go on strike they don't penalise the boss, they penalise the people, especially when it's public service.
We now have something called the workers law( norme du travail) that protect worker from abuse from the boss.
Union is a big freakin business, worst then the mafia. I can tell you they are running our governement in Quebec.
It's a pity that you benefit from unions every day and don't appreciate it. I really hope you'll educate yourself on organized labor, it's history, and its accomplishments. Your life is better because of organized labor. It's a shame you don't know that.
Don't get me wrong man, Union did a lot of thing for us in the 50's and 60's. But now they are worthless, they are always on oposition with the direction of business.
With all due respect Buddhagem, you won't teach a QUebecer how union work my friend, we're born in the union way of life.
In the 50's French Canadian were the cheap labor of Canada, english canadian were getting the higher position in companies. In the 40's they rebel, organized and ask for better condition. Now we are in control in our province of Quebec and we created laws to protect the workers, so Union is not necessary anymore. They were in the past but not anymore.
I don't know who should educte himself on unions...were did you get your number that French were behind the union strike in france?
don't get it twisted. Were not friends. Any enemy of organized labor is a class traitor in my book. You'll have to educate yourself, but that's up to you.
Wow that sound like extremism....I'm educated enough on union, not by reading books but by living it.
Your attitude surprise me, I don't know you but by your name I thought you would be an open mind... But it seems like you judge people on their belief and have not interest in discussing and exchanging opinions.
In fact you get rid of people who want to discuss by telling them they are not educated....Way to go man, you don't know me...I don't know how you can say i'm not educated.
I never said you were uneducated but you are clearly ignorant about organized labor. As Marx pointed out if the world of appearances and our daily experience were enough to understand the world there would be no need for science. The fact is your anecdotal experience says nothing about a movement that spands the globe
Finally I respect your opinion man, because I can't judge you. I don't have the life experience you have, I don't know were you're coming from...and who will I be to judge you! :)
I have my opinion on Unions you have yours, by discussing opinion we create something....Evolution.
I think American were thinking French are coward because Some american are missing some knowledge on other country. A lot of muslim and middle east people live in France if they would have went to Iraq, they would have get a civil war...enough with that.
About the unions, i'm against the Union my friend quebec is Unionized at around 60%, you know what good it brings to worker? Nothing they end up without a job because they are paid 75$ an hour to build cars....

Do you think EFCA will pass?
Are you in the IWW?
Odd how Starbucks is probably the biggest corporation to have IWW members, yet is one of the three most active corporations against EFCA. Wait, no it isn't.
Yes I'm a Wobbly. I'm also a union Carpenter. Starbucks has nothing to do with their union membership; in fact they have fought it, and continue to fight it to this day. In fact, I think I mention a Union barista getting fired in this video. We organize regardless of what our corporate masters tell us.
I'm so glad you like it. I thought it's a cool way for people I love on YT to get involved on my videos in more ways than commenting. Seems like a cool deal.
a guy from my work was fired for criticising a computer system. so much for labour laws in this country. My union rep is also my manager, and he's trying to get me fired for being a "trouble maker".
I'm not familiar with your labor laws but I can guess it's pretty much the same as hear: even where they exist the enforcement mechanisms are nearly non-existent or they take so long to enforce that they don't mean a hill of beans. I hope you're able to hold on to your job. It's a crappy economy out there. I think we're all a little scared.
The universally hated former Royal Bank of Scotland boss Fred 'the shred' Goodwin got his house (or one of his houses at least) in Edinburgh attacked this week.
Bigger balls, better organized, and class conscious. They definitely have their shit together. You should do the video. What they are doing is definitely inspiring. No, we can't get everyone to stand up at once, but we still have to try.
About the 1000 years. Don't be so quick to knock it (if it is possible). Have you ever read the book "Red Mars"? In it, the people find a way to live for a thousand years and it helps them develop a socialist gift economy. To paraphrase Utah Phillips, the long memory is the most radical tool we have.
Well the long memory would be great but that's why we have books! I'm not knocking it, I just don't think I'm so quick to embrace the idea. Sounds like a long time. And damn imagine how crowded it would get?
Ha, I guess you would still have the ability to "terminate" the extension at your own discretion (so long as you haven't sold the control of your mind to a corporation for the extra padding).
Laughingman is a Cyborg designed specifically to debate! LOL. I will be getting on more. What's a good time/day? You should email me next time your on. PM me I'll send you my email.

Well I don't think i'm that ignorant, might not have as much knowledge than a union representative but...I live it.
Marx was right, but you forgot to say that science validate it's theory by the appearances and daily experience.

Steps of the scientific method
1. Name the problem or question
2. Form an educated guess (hypothesis) of the cause of the problem and make predictions based upon the hypothesis(Theory)
3. Test your hypothesis by doing an experiment or study (with proper controls)(real life)
4. Check and interpret your results(compare theory-real life)
5. Report your results to the scientific community(correct the theory by the real life results)

funny, i was considering doing a video about the french labor strike, called "the french have bigger balls than you".
it's sad that when we think about a national labor strike here in the states, the general attitude is "you can't get everyone to stand up at once"
