My opinion: This drum intro is clearly the best one of all versions (but I miss the narrator). The music that follows is a bit too synthesized, I prefer the military marching band-version. Guess late 80s called for a more "modern" approach.. The terrible thing with this season five-theme is that Post dropped the beautiful 70s inspired mid section to something really horrible!! The end theme is somewhat better though.

Anyway.. Mike Post is a genious. Thumbs up if you agree.. ;)

Season 5 just confused me, as a kid. I was alright with the tried and trusted formular of 4 blokes riding round in a van kicking bad guy ass. But then it all got complicated, and too bogged down with plot. I've never watched season 5 since then, I'd probably like it now. But all I wanted to see, as a kid, was the good old lightweight shootin' explodin' crashin' "Urrrggh, sucka" "don't touch my van FOOL" "I love it when a plan comes together".

if you hear the facts, George Peppard actually made the A-Team, he has put his spirit into it. The A-team, belongs to George Peppard not to Liam Neeson(he plays hannibal in the A- team 2010).

This show kicked ass :-) I still today really like The A-Team. A great fun action pack show nobody ever got hurt was just fun to watch people hireing the A-Team and they were trying to stay away from eather col Lynch or Decker the MPS who where trying to catch them. Yeah Season 5 it wasnt the same with Robert vaughn and Eddie Valez it was till fun to watch. Old shows like this and Dukes of Hazzard and Knight Rider. Shows today i think SUCK.

There was more to it than that. The ratings weren't very good in Season 5, unbelieveably. They were #56 in the ratings, where as it used to be a Top 10 Show it's first 3 years. Still, it was Higher rated than the Law & Orders the last few Seasons, and they keep bringing them back every year. The A-Team, even being #56, could have lasted a full 5th Season, and even another Season or two, i think.
