As a 3rd generation crane operator and very familiar with erection and operation of the larger Liebherrs this is just awesome. An incredible job of showing something that most people will never get to see in real life.

Btw there is 1 thing I don't get. For example at 1:17. You see the boom of the yellow crane come up by itself. ofcourse that doesn't happen in real life. But how do they get the already attached boom part to line up with the new part. I mean you can't push it up or something XD.

I am not sure of what you are referring to. If you mean the tiny movement immediately after 1:17, then I must have bumped it. If you mean the gantry raising at about 1:29, there are hydraulic rams underneath to raise it.

@soundmachine6 The (red) assist crane lifts the section off the flatbed. Then they line up the top 2 pins, lift it up higher, (the section attached to the crane lifts up also, because it would be pinned at the top) then line up the bottom and pin it. The new section is always free to move, so yes you can push it to line up the top pins, and lift both sections together for the bottom of the boom to come together. Hope this helps
