  • I keep getting Consppiracy X mixed up with Dark Consiracy...oh Dark Conspiracy...must read that again.

  • That is what Big Lots is, very interesting.

  • I have played the DC game. Haven, and Conspiracy X. All of which are great games. The DC one is of course a supers game that lets one play in the universe. Conspiracy X is a modern game of X-Files ish type settings and themes. Haven I like to best describe it as a modern style game set in a action, crime noir, shoot 'em up type of play style. These are all good books and while very different from each other with I am sure you will enjoy. The fact that they are diffent in tone and setting is a plus.

  • Is that Haven book you picked up a hard back? I have a paperback of Haven as a supplement for D20 Modern.

  • @KodyaxZavaj Soft bound.

  • @tetsubo57 That's what I have, it's an interesting idea, although a lot of it is mired in what the system had to offer and relied on Blood and Fists as part of its make up. Good concept, but I am thinking that if I were to run it today, I'd adapt the setting to Savage Worlds, I'd keep the locations and back story but ditch the rules. There are some disturbing bits in there, I will warn you in advance. And you need at least the D20 Modern core to play it.

  • @KodyaxZavaj I own them. Thanks for the warning.

  • @tetsubo57 You're quite welcome, the game is meant for adults it is a setting for D20 Modern as printed and it basically takes a lot of action films of the 90s and beyond and distills them into a sourcebook for those that want to run that kind of game. But even with that said there are bits that go over the top. Keep that in mind when you read about Milk Baby...

  • That's Entertainment? Where I am, thats the name of an indy video rental store. They are really good for finding obscure movies to rent :P

  • ahahahaha the cat....quite the life it has.

  • Cool find I never went to That's Entertainment shop when I used to live up that way. Nice heads up on the flashlight I will have to see if they have one at my local big lots. My favorite used book store around me is Chamblin Bookmine. And it truly feels like you are in a mine. I think they might have delved to deep.

  • very nice deals you got there. Good haul.

  • I wanted to thank you for your review of The Mutant Epoch you did a long time ago. It's very late... and we just finished our first game. It was a blast! The players rolled some pretty interesting characters and everyone had fun. I'll send you a link to some scanned characters. Thanks again for helping us discover that great game.

  • @Nolinquisitor You are welcome.

  • I love that you turned a NES into RPGs. :) Sounds like you got some good deals.

  • Do you play Call of Cthulhu?

  • @Antiks72 I have, just many years ago. The original edition I believe. I just don't see the point. You have three option: Go insane, die or remain entirely ignorant of the CoC universe and be completely mundane. None of that sounds like an enjoyable RPG experience to me.

  • Awesome deals there. What's better than gaming stuff? Low priced gaming stuff! =)

The way Mandarin slightly shakes with your head movements is strangely somewhat hypnotic.

Hope Lara will feel better soon. Cara has had a bad day as well, looks like some sort of minor food poisoning. You always appreciate healthiness the most when it's lacking... and it's really invaluable.

  • coast is going out of production

  • I was talking to my wife the other day about how I can't wait until your Saturday deals video came back. Thanks for the video!

  • I like the mongoose too. Don't think I've looked at that mongoose book though. I like DC better too but only because the DC writing is a lot better; although, a lot of their concepts aren't the best. Not having to pay sales tax in your state must be nice.

  • @woodwwad It is nice. We get a lot of business from the bordering states and Canada.

  • @tetsubo57 I could see that, over the course of a year that'd really save you some money.

  • Good finds! Hope the wife feels better!

  • Mandarin is really getting comfy on your neck there....
