The Mutara Nebula could Be Temporal and During the Reliant and Enterprise A's Battle The Enterprise D Showed up because they were hiding from the Borg in a different Nebula and somehow they Got Transported to the Wrath Of Khan Timeline and They could have Known about khan's plans for the Genesis torpedo and decided to destroy the Reliant.
