  • Guys, I'm not American, I live in a country where health care is mostly run by the public sector and I can tell you this man is lying big. On the first hand, a public option doesn't threat people by limiting what you can choose, it adds another choice to a list that sometimes is non existant since some have no choice. On the other hand, students running away from medicine because of government is a fairytale. Medicine is the most demanded degree in my country.

  • He's obviously is in the Health Insurance Company's pocket.

Having the government "help us" pay the insurance company instead of having a government option? Instead of having good competitive pricing, he wants us to just pay the insurance price HIKE!? What happen after the government stop helping us pay for insurance? He just wants the insurance company to make more money from the people and the government. What a sell out.

  • As late as 2007 Romney supported a FEDERAL mandate. He appeared on Meet The Press and called it a "terrific idea." A mandate was a conservative idea initially in fact. What changed is that Pres. Obama got healthcare done and that is why republicans oppose it and why Romney has flipped. Just as he says he is now pro-life when he was pro-choice only a few years ago. Just as he claimed he was endorsed by NRA but wasn't. I can't abide lying and he does it frequently.

  • @PBezuhkovIII You're exactly right that the conservative movement turned on a dime on the individual mandate when Obama included it. Nobody cared about it in 2007-2008. But it's not "lying" to change your mind on abortion; Reagan did that too.

  • This video clearly demonstrates that Mitt knows health care inside and out, and is most qualified to repeal Obamacare and pass his own plan which increases competition and free market dynamics.

  • ...the fact is Mitt Romney is the best candidate the GOP has to take the economic argument to Barack Obama as well as articulate an alternative health care approach which would grant much more liberty to the states and healthcare professionals than the Affordable Care Act accomplishes. If the Republican party refuses to get behind this guy we have lost it.

  • 85% of the people of Massachusetts are happy with their healthcare system. If Romney's health care reforms were bad, they've yet to get the memo. Furthermore, the individual mandate is not unconstitutional on the state level, and while it is true that premium costs have increased in Massachusetts since the implementation of the bill, they have not increased any more quickly than they have anywhere else. None of these so called conservative critics of Romney had a problem with this bill in '08...

  • @aDarkRage27 -

My question is, if Romney's health care program was so bad, then why did Obama adopt it?

  • @dyad2r1 Romney's plan was not bad. It was able to accomplish complete health coverage for the people of Massachusetts, which is why Obama adopted it. The Democrats liberal base has long been concerned which achieving universal healthcare coverage, admittedly a noble goal (though unfortunately most of them would like to eliminate private insurance and institute one single payer, government program, which fortunately neither Obama nor Romney sought to do.) The problem is, while Romney's plan...

  • Respond to this video... ...achieved greater coverage (and Obama's will too) it was not able to stop premium rises. Obama's plan, because he's applying Romney's formula on the federal level, is vastly more complicated and will probably exacerbate premium increases because of it. That's bad for consumers. Also, because it expands the coverage pool to include so many high risk customers, it could depress private health industries. That's bad for the overall economy. And with all the...

  • @dyad2r1 ...new regulatory agencies, it will be expensive to implement, thereby making it potentially disastrous for the national debt and deficit. Obama's plan is very troubling in many ways. I think he had good intentions, but Romney's got a better, more American style idea.

  • @aDarkRage27

    Good analyses. Thank you.

  • That is an excellent presentation for Romney on his health care plan, his qualifications for high office, his ability to challenge Obama, and in defense of his work in Mass on this issue. Go Romney! I'm with you.

  • ginaswo is the only literate response written here. as usual, it's written by a conservative.

  • Romney understands JOB CREATION and the ECONOMY. That is the NUMBER ONE issue. Team Obama was hoping it would be Obamacare, cuz Romney is the best bet to beat him.

  • He "insisted on personal responsibility"? Seriously? This guy is a joke. Twisting words and definitions.

  • Healthcare bad, is the flavor of the month for all these guys.

  • Health costs are wildly out of control because, with the advent of HMO's and PPO's, consumers became detached from the real cost of their medical care.

The solution is returning back to Cash and Real health Insurance payments where people see and are responsible for the cost of their healthcare.

    The free market works!

Romney is a fool if he thinks that RomneyCare and his insistence on stripping people of their Constitutional rights and protections are in his "plus" column.

  • Romney is just another criminal MFr that has no business holding office.

Either pay the insurance corporation, or get a 2000 plus dollar fine, "health care reform" isn't "change"; yet the libtards holler OBAMAAAAA.= suckers.

Now wait for all the rest of the B.S. in that bill to kick in..people need to learn to read.

  • from one crook to the other lol this man made millions on unstaffed free rehab houses for murderers and rapists watch out while the rest of us can't find living to afford

  • @MissEVitale can u supply some citations so people can do research on your stmt? tx!

  • @ginaswo a citation against romney when this is politics and money purchase of city council to turn their eye and allow all of these unregulated establishments???? you are joking to ask right... there have been hearings for the past several years and some shut downs. He made millions... on so called group homes aka very dangerous drug houses, gang activity from within his unregulated agenda. come back with that question again... there are no regulations, no staff to citate

  • I would not vote for him even if he were a progressive Democrat and took proper care of his dog.
