@lovebirds360 Yeah, I know what a rice paddle is lol. But where I found it it was not intended to be used as a rice paddle. And as with the other stuff is sort of the point of TLB-- I'm offering alternatives to ordering conventional bento materials online. But I don't think the spoo-kni-fork would cut your mouth, because I'm sure the makers of the product wouldn't want it to be too sharp so that people would get hurt from the product.

(not ment to be mean :)) LOL, halarious the tiny paddle is acually called a ''rice paddle'' used for spreading rice XD you see them in Chinese and Japanese restaurants/buffets. The small heart shape can be used for those, but are usually used for onigiri/ rice molds. ^^ The salt shaker is a great idea, but it might need to be a little smaller. And you can use little bottles for sauces! :D but those are usually ordered on amazon,e-bay.

I gotta say I love your series! I hope if you do episode 4 that you'll continue with it. Your advice really helped me get started when I got into making bento's. I haven't made 'em in awhile but I finally busted out my Ocean Blue's bento and made one. (It's lock and lock style! :) I really love it since it's also got a little insulated carrying bag.) Here's hoping it turns out good.

@Vickilovesyaoi13 For the lunch box, no. I don't think they've sold those lunch boxes in about a year, though. If you're looking for other cute mascot characters though, Sanrio and San-x make lots of different bags (and bento) with those types of characters.

@cuppiedude20 It depends, really. They're usually used for tiered bento that don't snap together, so that they don't fall apart and so that the lids stay on tightly. However, tiered bento that snap together sometimes don't snap tightly enough so you can use an elastic bento belt to keep it together. It's mostly a matter of personal preference. Hope that helps!

One idea for that salt shaker, place a piece of cling wrap under your lid and only poke out 1 or 2 holes. Or use tape to cover up one or 2 of the holes ; instead of using your finger. :)

regarding the thermos cup, in Canada, when i'ts back to school time, there's a pretty good selection of little thermos jars like that (and they come in all kinds of colours) in the lunch bag/school bag section, and most of them have the dividers and come with spoons that fold in half.

thanks for telling me about them, because i want to bring a bento to school, but in the winter, i want things hot(duh) and i was thinking thermos(the tall kind) but the little one would work so much better !! :3

Well I'm in college currently so I wont be using a bento until I have an apartment but I like you video.

Something to be said:

Clorie count is just about equal to the # of ml your bento container hold. so if you have a 600ml bento you'll have around a 600 calorie meal but it all depends upon your bento.

That said I'll probably just keep 1 300 or 400ml bento and a drink with a couple of rice cakes as a dessert/snack. =]
