My junior high jazz band traveled to see him play in the 70s. When he played this we were on our feet the entire time. The conclusion had five trumpets turn to the crowd and play the chorus in unison. To this day, it was one of the most moving moments in my life. Truly incredible.
Hearing the part from about 2:50 to the screaming double-high A at 3:20, and the breakdown from 5:30 to 5:37, just brings tears of joy to my eyes. RIP Boss - no one has ever done it better.
I remember playing this in college, touring the local high schools...the only difference was that we didn't do the swing-ish rhythm, but instead did it as straight forward 4/4 rock, and reworked the ending a bit. We even sent the band members out into the audience, just like MF had done. Good times.
What the hell are they yelling at at the end!? like "omg its a drum solo!"

The entire "ending" (at least of the Beatles version) takes up half the song. To right like this is crazy. still awesome.

O.O Omg, Maynard, you've done it again. This rivals the original.
