The tabs will show you where your fingers need to be and you can get the timing from the video. Good luck with it!

Michelle, I've come back to listen again. Can you recommend the mahogany fluke? Do you think the koa fluke would sound better? Unfortunately I can't test them here... Thanks in advance for your opinion. :-) Dirk.

Hi Dirk, I would totally recommend the mahogany fluke if you like the colour of it. As for the sound, I have played it alongside a regular fluke with the rosewood fretboard and they sounded exactly the same to me. It's not solid mahogany, it's a laminate, so it doesn't seem to affect the sound much. I've never tried the koa fluke, so I can't compare with that. I have heard it's a little softer though, but don't know from experience. Hope that helps! (I'm running out of characters. lol)

You're very welcome about the tabs - I'm happy to share, and have learnt everything I know from tabs and videos others have shared online. The fluke I am playing is a tenor sized mahogany fluke. Thanks Kevin! That bit somehow ended up staying there when I trimmed the video and I kind of liked it so I left it. This fluke is my UWC travel uke! I figure if I'm going to be in the US for five weeks with only one uke, it's got to be one I'll enjoy. That's my excuse anyway ;) (and it's a fluke so I don't break it getting on and off planes).
