the iphone 3g is actually a piece of shit my friend works in apple customer care and they constantly have problems with it. ive owned 7 nokias the past 10 years and all were amazing and never had a problem and are much more technologically advanced. Hell my old n70 can do more stuff than the iphone all is missing is the touch screen big deal.
i use all aplle products at home but i've had the iphone for 6 months and im unimpressed. No multiple delete emails, no video or even zoom on the camera...come on, no GPS sat nav, no 4warding biz cards. I cant wait for nokia to do it and get it right

To be honest does it really matter if it's copying or not? It was bound to happen and I don't see why there is even an argument about who was first. This is like the initial step where the whole market is onboard the touch-screen revolution. Eventually each company will be taking their own more defined route and design.. This is almost like as if the tradition keypad was just invented and all the phones are just going for the fail-safe success design to lead us into the future of mobile devices.

How the fuck could you give Apple credit for multi-touch technologies? Multi-touch research started around 1982 with work from Bell Labs with things like multi-touch screens. The first commercially available product using multi-touch technology was the Lemur Input Device, a professional multi-media controller from French company JazzMutant - which came out in 2005.
There have been plenty of breakthroughs in between that, of course, but giving credit to Apple for multi-touch makes you stupid.

No it isn't! LG announced the Prada in February, a month after Apple. Either one or the other had corporate spies, or it was just a strange coincidence.

Keyboard is the way to go, and BTW, the phone is the phone, Camera is camera, GPS is GPS, Music player is music player.
Even though I ve got all these Junks Gadgets I still find that my 8800 and now 8600 Luna work best as a phone (Size, Style, battery..) My ipod suffle and Zen stone work best for my music needs (cardio @ the Gym and running) (again: size and beterry life)....
1) Nokia did not copy the iphone in the new interface...they made it better...the iphone has a very simple interface...the new nokia will probably have a more complicated (slower?) OS that is appropriate to power users as well...
2) the first nokia phone presented is a sensor button hone...interface that is common since the days of the LG chocolate so no new shit there...

To be honest does it really matter if it's copying or not? It was bound to happen and I don't see why there is even an argument about who was first. This is like the initial step where the whole market is onboard the touch-screen revolution. Eventually each company will be taking their own more defined route and design.. This is almost like as if the tradition keypad was just invented and all the phones are just going for the fail-safe success design to lead us into the future of mobile devices.

FOR ME!!!nokia is the best, I am in love, I have to acept that the last models N73, N95, didnt fill my spectations I have been waiting for nokia to redim. N95 is a monster, it is great but slow and with a compacted keyboard, that wasn't confortable to use. So I hope this phone have all Nokia used to offer on the old models... Improvement with out making it slow.

How the fuck could you give Apple credit for multi-touch technologies? Multi-touch research started around 1982 with work from Bell Labs with things like multi-touch screens. The first commercially available product using multi-touch technology was the Lemur Input Device, a professional multi-media controller from French company JazzMutant - which came out in 2005.
There have been plenty of breakthroughs in between that, of course, but giving credit to Apple for multi-touch makes you stupid.

By the way, touch screen sucks, I've got UX390N,OQO2, N800, LG Prada, Iphone, They all suck with touch screen.
Keyboard is the way to go, and BTW, the phone is the phone, Camera is camera, GPS is GPS, Music player is music player.
Even though I ve got all these Junks Gadgets I still find that my 8800 and now 8600 Luna work best as a phone (Size, Style, battery..) My ipod suffle and Zen stone work best for my music needs (cardio @ the Gym and running) (again: size and beterry life)....

The New Interface they presented actually exactly the same as PSP & PS3 Interface, WTF!
Touch screen Technology is not new, but LG Prada failed to delivery it to consumer with their poor user interface and Marketing efforts.
Apple with good R&D and Marketing strategy make the old become the new for us.
For Nokia, their key strenghs now is the brand equity,GPS buit-in, and 5.0 MP Camera so focus on that strengh and expand the market on that area.

1) Nokia did not copy the iphone in the new interface...they made it better...the iphone has a very simple interface...the new nokia will probably have a more complicated (slower?) OS that is appropriate to power users as well...
2) the first nokia phone presented is a sensor button hone...interface that is common since the days of the LG chocolate so no new shit there...
