Damn! I had no idea the 2000's VdGG compositions were so good! I'm going to buy Present right now. Also, I think this is the best live recording of theirs I've heard yet.
This is doing my head in, these VdGG videos on here, every single one of them is freezing at some point. This one freezes at 2.01, EVERY time I run it. Why is this happening? Does it affect anyone else? How can I stop it happening?
How I miss David Jackson's saxes & flutes in the latest VdGG. This clip is a testament to his genius, and is the last we'll see of him with his old mates.
Certo che la presenza di Jackson si sente: mi dispiace non aver avuto la possibilità di sentire la formazione al completo...grandissima performance e grandissimo album!

Over pretentious BS! If this music were any more dramatic, it'd win a RAZZY. Heavy handed and ponderous, it's no wonder it's an acquired taste. I try to leave myself open to all music but I never understood them long ago and can't do it today. I'm sure there's an audience for it but not from me.
Yeah I was at that show and i had only been listening to VDGG for about 5 months at that point, considering they hadn't played in America in over 30 years at that point I'm pretty damn lucky I discovered them when I did. Yeah and it was definitely the best concert I've been to.
This track evokes memories of the early 70's and has a feel more like a solo lp than a band approach. It would of fit nicely on "Quite Zone" David Jackson on sax and flute is very missed in NYC on june 21 09. But not hear!!!!!thank you who ever posted this and God bless Peter hammill!
DAVID JACKSON please come back VDGG is not the same without you!!!!

I'm sorry people but this sounded sloppy to me. I love Van Der Graaf Generator but this really sounded rush and at time a little untogether.

@fabrikk60 can you shed any light on why David Jackson jumped ship?... such a critical component of the VDGG sound... and so sorely missed
