actually this looks better than that version where he was explaining everything. That version actually was kinda funny because how often do we realy have this type of psychadelic dreams:D here it looks like metoforical version of his actual dream ant that makes it look so much better
@ScAgCoWbOy Thank you...*)) I personally find it quite hard to even describe my dreams not to mention to put them in a video. For my kind of dreams David Lynch's Mulholland Drive or even Lost Highways come much closer to how my dreamworld is constructed. But my dreams usually are even more confusing than Mulholland Drive.
I'd be willing to bet David O. Selznick had something to do with the 3 doors opening. I think it is to heavy handed to be Hitch. He was much more subtle. Also, David O. really wanted this film to be more scientific regarding psychiatry.
You probably know that Selznick always had a lot of trouble with the directors...But as far as I know he couldn't do it with Hitch, cause he had this very special way to shoot scene by scene= there was usually not one picture/sentence too much when he was shooting, which was a bit frustrating for the editors, cause there was nothing to edit in fact...*)) They literally just had to put the scenes together!
I can imagine that Hitch was in a very romantic mood while shooting Spellbound, cause he was sooo keen on Ingrid Bergman. AND= don't forget Dalís influence= he was not so understated/subtle like Hitch...*))
I think you are right about that this picture should be more scientific= that makes sense, cause of the beginning of the movie, which then develops more into a love story...
Under the link alfred's SPELLBOUND part 1 you can find the credits of Spellbound with the original music of course. I think it was composed by Miklas Rozsa.

@ScAgCoWbOy But which video are you talking about where HE explains dreams (with he do you mean Hitchcock?)

@AilenRocB I haven't watched the whole clip. I thought this was some other version of dream sequence. With ''he'' I meant the character.

The film is directed by Alfred Hitchcock, but the dream sequences are done by Dalí.

Hitchcock directed Spellbound. Dali designed the dream sequences for the film.
