  • You can disable the magazine disconnecter easily BTW.

  • 5.7 can be ordered from Natchez very easily. They even ship to Hawaii.

  • i thought i new alot bout guns but i didnt even no the 5.7x29 round existed till now

  • its cool to watch nutn's old vids then watch his new stuff and see how much his channel has progressed. keep up the great work!

  • It doesn't matter who gets into office in 2008, 2012 or any other time.... They're all on the same side and it aint our side. There is no difference between Democrat or Republican. We need to get out of the UN or we risk losing our sovereignty. Just my .02 cents.

  • You should really get one in the project to test, nutnfancy

  • First nutnfancy review I've ever watched. Got me hooked, years ago.

  • What a loser. I hate your other personality "Veri-made up" even more than you.

  • @4girls1bucket This douche again? Do you have nothing better to do? Quit stalking nutn dude.

  • thinking of getting one thanks for the review.

  • @theARMORYchannel good review as a firearm man my self i still play with pellet guns

  • @theARMORYchannel well not play but target practise

  • @theARMORYchannel Your cooking vids won't burn nearly as much of a hole in your pocket!

  • I hate when people say dems are going to take away gun. Name one billion dollar business the government has stop

  • @onlyoneter the government isn't going after the gun companies (the government needs weapons too) but they (the dems) are doing everything in their power to deter people from purchasing them. They're targeting the civilian, not the manufacturers.

  • @Fourteen88SoCal its hard for most of the manufacturers to survive without the civilian consumers. whats more is the government doesnt need the manufacturers because if they wanted to they could make their own which is what they'r going to do with the NDAA. anyone arrested under that law will be put into a work camp where they will make weapons for the government... or so I've heard.

  • @Clintmccook I should have been more clear, here in California the government is going after the private consumer (...everything sucks about California when it comes to guns). I mean shit, they just passed a law here requiring photo ID and a fingerprint just to buy ammo! Not to mention limiting all guns to NO MORE than 10 rounds MAX!

California (in my personal opinion) is the quint essential example of the government implementing it's slow process or getting rid of our guns! >:(

  • @Fourteen88SoCal I agree. its like California is like a test bed for anti gun legistration.

  • @Fourteen88SoCal I'm moving out of California in a couple months. I'm tired of this crap.

  • Nutnfancy didn't you shoot pretty good with the SR9 at 100 yards. I seem to remember you shooting that? Been watching you for years btw. One of your first subsribers be nice if you could answer a question here and there? I asked you for a review on the jim wagner first defense blade awhile ago and got notihng. I'd be happy ro send you one.

  • Have one, shoots exceptionally good and flat! I put a coke can way up on a hill, thinking I would be lucky to get close to it. When I got to the bottom of the hill and took aim, I nailed right off, first shot, as if it were a rifle. Incredible Gun!!! I hope that some other manufacturers make ammo for it. It is a great fun gun.

  • Thanks for the review. Are any European countries using this round or pistol?

  • why do you love the glock so much it is quite ugly

  • @CrakaBunch30 Its ugly, but it works awesome.

  • pshhh fuck that the mp443 parabelum round

  • I was able to read the testimonies of the witness/victims of Ft Hood (SS192) - it changed my mind about it's effectiveness. It's a shame that NATO didn't adopted it. FNH always does an amazing job of craftsmanship and design. NATO testers were good. The USSS recently adopted it to the dismay of Dr. Fackler, but they have testing abilities none of us could ever guess about and they've already adopted it and my other favorite, the Sig P229 in .357Sig!

  • As of now, there are a couple of companies that have chambered rifles to the 5.7mm (Excel and 57 Center), and as another comment points out, Savage is coming out with a bolt action rifle in 5.7, I would assume as a varmint rifle. With any luck, the observation of the round as being proprietary and rare may become out of date. But as he says, time will tell.

  • Glaaaaaaaawk

  • @5386serena go back to the America's Got Talent vids, you are out of your depth here. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • @nutnfancy what happend to nutn???

  • @5386serena How do you jack-off with a gun? I would just insert it analy. :D

  • WOW that safety location is awwwwwful.

  • How is the build quality? Every SA 5-7 I've fired has a flimsy trigger.

  • @GUNBOSS31 More than a bit off topic, friend? How does the common knowledge of Five-seven's magazine capacity, your limited opinion on relative stopping power & penetration or the number of different companies presently producing the 5.7 x 28 ammunition... how does this have anything to do with what I/we were discussing? Truly trying to understand your reply; are you trying to say you're not inclined to see a development of a sub-compact mouse gun chambered in 5.7 x 28? Thanks for your reply.

  • Savage now has a rifle in this chamber.

  • I prefer the safety location, it's much quicker than the thumb ones. Also, it would be safer because you will not have a finger on the trigger while you manipulate the safety.

I'd say that overall it's a very good gun

  • Outstanding Review! Picking one up this weekend!

  • Very small package, but still has the same firepower? Do you have something you want to explain to us? :S

  • SHIT, 30 ROUND PISTOL.

  • I just wish that the ammo and the gun was not so EXSPENSIVE! I mean what I saw at Bass Pro Shop (in Atlanta, Georgia) one box of ammo either contained 20 to 30 rounds (IDK this was last year) and it was either $15 to $20 OMG, and the gun is over $1000 brand-new, I wish I could get this at the age I am so I could have it for a long time (Im only 14 but Im bout to buy a Glock23)

  • @XtreamVII Dude I got my IOM USG for $875 NIB and ammo is only $20-$25 for 50 round box thats no more than .40 or .45. I found 2000 rounds on google for just over $800. When you hit 21 and can buy a handgun legally you might find a nice used in the box 5-7 for around $600 to $700, which is not impossible to get as new glocks are only bout $100 cheaper. Though there arent as many accessories for the 5-7 as there are for the glock in a few years there will be, so the 5-7 is a great choice.

  • I like the 20 rounds of whopping firepower.

  • @RevSvc173 yes you can

  • I'll be happy when they make something chambered in 5.7 that doesn't cost as much as my kidney.

I'll also be happy if it's slightly smaller than a breadbox.

  • 2008 came and gone.. and President Obama hasnt said the word gun... lol. i own a five seven pistol, and guess what its 2011 and i can buy ammo at wallyworld!

  • @TEAMLEXUS they sell 5-7 at wal mart?

  • um SS109 is 5.56x45mm... I think you are looking for SS190 5.7x28mm

  • @rasey077 Hooray for bullshit!

  • Can I buy the gun in california

  • @estebanzealugo yea but you can only have the 10 round mag for it

  • This extended mag attatchent gives you as much capacity as your usual NATO assault rifle. That my friends is diggable

  • Why on earth would the '08 election have anything to do with whether or not Wal-Mart will carry 5.7? I'm reading between the lines, but all I can find in your words is a ridiculous statement.

  • @rrhmorgan

Unfortunately, our wealth redistributing president is very anti-gun and would ban or restrict gun owners if he could get away with it. This attitude is known to gun and ammo manufacturers and discourages them from being innovative and taking financially risky chances in producing ammo like what is made for this gun because of the uncertainty in the market that is brought on by his beliefs and policies.

  • Respond to this video...

They aren't going to produce something if it becomes illegal or at all difficult for people to buy on account of political policy.

  • 22 magnum will go that fast

  • @bertman668 not out of a pistol though. .22 mag is designed as a rifle round, 5.7 is a pistol/short barrel round.

  • Amazing gun. If you have the money pick one up I recommend it.

  • you sound like john malkovich

  • how is this gun worth over 1000? somebody please explain.. thanks

  • @aroccop it has almost the same velocity of the 223/556. expensive round to shoot. extremely accurate up to 100 yards which is retarded for a handgun.

  • @aroccop It is relatively new in design and unique for, as far as I know, only one other civilian firearm (the PS-90) shoots the same round so until mass production reaches this prices will seem unfair also the 5.7 x 28 mm has been marketed as a pdw round, not a cheap market

  • the safety is easy to get used to tho

  • It's amazing how these same Europeans who, eat quiche, wear speedo's, wear FLIP FLOPS !!! can make such great firearms. ( even though they can't own them .) LOL.

  • The FN 5.7 is by far THE BEST PISTOL I have ever seen. And I do have one!

Once you fire this gun, you don't want any other handgun! EVER!!!

It was design to penetrate a NATO CRISAT target (20 layers of kevlar and a 1.6 mm titanium plate) . But that's not all! After three inches of penetration it starts to tumble, rotating sideways!? The exit wound of the 5.7 is bigger than a 9mm

hollow point. Velocity is over 2,100 fps (twice the speed of any handgun) and the recoil is 30% less than any 9mm.

  • @carpati1 I seriously doubt that you are able to purchase AP (armor piercing) ammo for the FN. If you do a little research, the civilian ammo for this round is not going to penetrate kevlar. In fact, the 5.7x28mm has similar ballistics to the .22 Winchester Mag.

  • i agree that we should teach everyone in the house firearm safety including children. but i think that the lock should still be used, kids poke around a lot and if a friend of theres doesnt have any knowledge of firearms could end up hurting someone. just saying that why risk it you know

  • how is FN qualitywise?

  • @SpartanConduct great

  • you forgot to mention that the recoil impulse feels like some sort of air tool

  • The 5.7 is a great round, but what the fuck is going on with the silencers. I can put a silencer on the Five SeveN, and it doesn't silence shit. With like a USP .45, it's deadly quiet. Splinter Cell lied to me.

  • @TheSilentOne50 you have to use subsonic ammunition (SB193) to bring out the silencers potential, unfortunatly its near impossible to come by.

  • i always thought your name was "nuts and fancy". I JUST GOT THAT IT IS NOTHING FANCY!!!! WHERE HAVE I BEEN!!?!?!??!?!?!

  • @tictac4949 Under a rock?

  • Belgium gun <3

  • If you comparing fn 5.7 to glock, its mean glock is better..

  • @MrFad68 dude, the glock is a great platform, but this is a revolution in handguns.

  • I thought it was french not belgum

  • @theinfedel FN doesn't sell the SS109 bullets (the kevlar-piercing rounds) to non-military buyers. Furthermore, there has been no instance of a 5.7x28mm bullet ever injuring an American policeman. Just saying.

  • @theinfedel <-- When I read BULLSHIT propaganda comments like yours, it immediately proves you are either a gun hater on an agenda or you're really so pathetically ignorant & naive about firearms that you will believe anything the main stream media spoon feeds you, which is pitiful!

Do yourself a favor if you truly are pro gun & love freedom, do some damn research before parroting things that you here off the TV or from coward gun grabbers who try to make others into frighten little fools!

  • @TheNWOnews what in the statement i made are you so offended by. the part about the cartels or the fact that they want these pistols they want SBR M16 and AR's w beta mags also i am not putting a bad label on the 5.7 the 5.7 is bad ass in many ways that makes it desireable you know you are quick to throw out all kinds of insults at someone all you have to do is watch some videos about guns of the zetas and youll see the badest guns we all want next to the dead bodies of the cartel jackass

  • @theinfedel Ohh yea, the cop killing pistol that has yet to kill a cop.....

  • @Kylef7735 I bet in mexico it has....

  • "It depends who is gonna win the election in 2008" - What he means is that firearm owners will go crazy and stock up for the "end times." There was 0 chance of ammo manufacturing or sale being limited quite the contrary as manufacturers stepped up production. (not actually what he meant but what reality is)

  • you know what they really should do is to make a ar upper in the 5.7, not the ar57 upper, and make a mod to the magazine well so that it can accept the standard 5.7 pistol mags. that way you could carry the fn 5.7 pistol and have your primary rifle accept same mags and ammo as your pistol.

  • @tac94540 Solid idea friend, I too would enjoy such a setup.

  • @kneverr i am going to call dpms and see what they think of the idea...i would just like to see it, it would justify buying a 5.7 for me.

  • t'hats made in Belgium

  • I own one and have a lot of trigger time with this gun. As far as accuracy, it beats the Glock hands down, which I also own. I've shot this gun regularly for three years now and it seems to be a very reliable gun. The recoil is less than a Nine mil and very flat allowing target reacquisition easier and faster. Only thing I dislike about its features is that the front sights are so large that it seams to catch on certain holsters.

  • Too funny, it is Glock like.

  • There is not many customization option for this. The Glock has been out for many years and theres thousands of customization options for it.

  • how is it tho?

  • Glock, Glock, Glock... I like Glocks, but the Sun does not rise and set on them. I just picked-up a Five seveN yesterday and they can't keep them in stock in Miami. I think they made a round that is better than many of the rounds that are out there. If you think about it, 9mm, .380 all of them... they didn't start out with widespread use.

You made this video in August 2008 and they can't keep them in stock over two years later and I can find ammunition in gun stores no problemo.

  • In the TV Show Fringe most Agent's would use Glock's and in an alternate universe they use Five-Sevens.

  • i trained my kids properly

  • is your google different from mine, I already found it? haha

  • how much does a case of say 50 rounds cost?

  • @trains457 the time it took you to ask that question, you could have already found the answer on google

  • @jdmcivic91 i never found the answser jackass thats why im asking him

  • @trains457 20 bucks cabelas.com

  • I handled one yesterday at the gun store and was rather let down at how plastic-y it felt. I've been a fan from a distance of the 5.7 however the feel of the gun just made me uneasy with the quality of it.

  • @kfoxon It's lightweight. Feels no more toyish to me than other polymer firearms I handle.

  • At 3:14 you are making a comment about how scarcity will be the down fall of the 5.7 caliber. However the reason "Glocks are so successful" isn't because of their calibers its because of the reliability. The 5.7 will not become scarce because the caliber was made for the modern battlefield in essence the 5.7 will become more popular to meet the higher demands of military, law enforcement, and self defense. Most likely in the future even a Glock will be sporting a 5.7 caliber. Thanks!- j1ranger

  • Any possible chance of an update for Fabrique National's weapons. Maybe a review on, since the new administration, the ammunition in today's current society. How easy it is to obtain and such.

I personally love FN: Five-Seven, P90, F2000. They'd be my go-to guns if/when I get the money and time to apply for being able to keep guns.

  • Cabellas (or how ever you spell it) sells 1000 5.7x28mm rounds for $400.

  • "how ya' doin"

  • I'm confused, why would you say the safety mechanism is a bad thing on this weapon? Just because of the training issue? I like it, the amidextrous design is important for a lefty like me. I would like to see more safeties designed like that.

  • WOW, I see a lot of insults on this page. How interesting. A lot of people seen guns in video games and then come here to brag and insult.(Not pointing out anyone)

ANYWAY, one of best guns I seen, top favorite at my end.

  • i think obama won the '08 elections

  • thats what she said

  • Well, obama won and the 5-7 is not illegal, I am a gun owner but I am against the whole political notion of owning a gun. I am not an NRA member for that reason. I am neither dem nor repub. the issue with the 5-7 is the armor piercing part of it.

  • @carjrock Good thing civilians can't buy armor piercing ammo then huh?

  • Would a normal civilian ever need kevlar defeat capability on his self-protection gun? Even a 25 should be enough to put a painful or even deadly hole on any common bad guy, unless you want an insta-kill gun...

  • @EduEnYT The real issue is..will kevlar defeating ammo ever be readily available? The answer is a resounding NO. Thank goodness. A .25 auto can kill a man. True. But so can one ounce of water. But if you wanted to drown a man would you try using an ounce of water or a swimming pool? Why use a .25 when you can carry a 9mm or a .40 cal. of nearly exact size and weight? Obviously you can't carry a swimming pool around in your pocket, but how hard is it drown a man with one ounce of water?

  • @manualdemise It doesn't work that way. Shot placement is more important than the caliber. A 5.7 in the head (or other important organ) is the same thing as a 9mm or a .40 in the head. Because of the large capacity and low recoil of the Five-seveN you can shoot faster, more accurately, and you have more opportunities to stop the bad guy. The difference between an ounce of water and a swimming pool is great the difference between a 5.7 and a .40 is ~.17 of an inch.

  • @iMagUdspEllr That is irrelevant. and innacurate. After 26 years of law enforcement I have seen many people walk away from head and center mass rounds from .25 cal. pistols. And most people, including law enforcement officers don't practice enough to confidently place rounds in a deadly zone in a highly stressful situation. Accurate shot placement is ideal, truly. But not realistic. I have an FN 5.7 with the 30 round mags for that reason.

  • @manualdemise Yeah and I'm sure those round didn't do much to the brain because they were glancing hits and I'm sure that none of those round penetrated vital organs. Like I said you have to be very precise (if a 4" target at 7 yards is precise for you). Yeah, I agree. Most people don't practice enough. You can substitute round count or caliber for practice. I prefer more of the latter than the former though. That is why I totally agree with your choice of sidearm.

  • @manualdemise I believe that with more rounds you have more chances to make meaningful hits where it matters... where it will stop them sooner rather than later. That helps compensate for the stress much better than hoping fewer... larger bullets hit. So we do agree there (if not totally?) I think the only thing standing in the way of defending yourself better is practice. The gun and ammo can't compensate for total ineptitude. I'm sure that is why some people die despite being armed.

  • @iMagUdspEllr Amen brother. We are on the same page. I love my FN, mostly for the near zero recoil, accuracy, and guaranteed penetration.....oh, and the 30 round mag for days when my aim is sloppy.

  • @EduEnYT of course you want instantkill in a selfdefence situation! otherwise the criminal stabs you first and then dies

  • @keesurt There is no instant kill handgun. Hell even when you get hit by a rifle you won't necessarily die instantly depending on the caliber. When you are talking about handgun cartridges it is more important where the bullet hits and not so much how big or fast the bullet goes (that is why rifles are a lot deadlier than handguns).

  • ??? EVERYTHING I said was fact it IS blowback it IS a TKO 1, stop reading Gun Magazines and learn something real.

I refuse to argue with you.

I apologize to the serious, grown ups who might have to read this.

  • Well, I have made my decision on which pistol round is best! The answer is simple, they all can kill me and I wouldn't want to be hit by any if them!

  • I think this would make a great short range prairie dog gun.

  • i don't carry my .40 sig anymore. I'm in love with my five seven. to see my shooting go to "gunfight with five seven"

  • baisicly, a more expensive, but accurate, glock?

    i dig it too.

  • Nut, How many weapons do you have in all? (Guns, knives, and even clubs)

  • Hey does this gun gas operated im not a good gun person plz awnser

  • @josh74253

no it is blowback... probably retarded or spring mostly as little weight involved.

uh to clarify blowback means the recoil of the explosion of gas and the bullet being pushed out.

generally the slide would absorb this recoil the bullet goes to target and case is extracted by the recoil itself.

however as stated above most likely has a heavy spring that does most of the work as is common with low power rounds.

a gas operated gun diverts gas to a piston or such to work action.

  • where to start this is in no way comparable to 9mm, a .22 round going 2300fps is a taylor ko of 1 meaning small game up close.

a 9mm military load is a 7 and is considered underpowered by plenty of people.

a 22 can kill just fine if you put it in the right organ, it is unlikely to cause enough blood loss to matter.

oh yeah and you can buy 10 9mms for the price of one of these and the ammo is pretty rare too.

no opinions only fact so if you want to be angry about your gauss gun oh darn. :D

  • @Tinmancr1 Your first sentence isn't even a fact. Any gun can kill just fine if you put it in the right organ. I have no experience with this Cartridge, but what I do know is it tumbles. And a bullet over .8" long tumbling is going to do some damage. A .45 hollow point expands to that much.

  • you can go to walmart and buy ammo??? I LOVE AMERICA

  • There have been issues with the mag extensions. Sometimes the internal finish of the extension isn't perfect, and can bind the spring. This can be fixed with a little bit of sandpaper.

  • SS109 isn't the fastest available round. EliteAmmunition's S4 Ultra RapTOR is a 28gr round that runs at ~2,600fps. The fastest FNH loading is the SS198 at 2,200fps, which is also restricted to LE. The fastest civilian load is the SS192 at ~2,000fps, current SS195LF loadings are at ~1,850fps.

  • 256ft lb @ muzzle?? Fail there going to think a mosquito bit them and the bullet is going to go right through them and then hit whatever is behind them, and then your done. You know this nutnfancy over-penetration and no stopping power a fail for fn frikin cool but a range gun target gun at best

  • @GTILOUD Its equal to 9mm, and there are superior loadings to that 256Ftlb one available, and if i was using this to defend myself, i would handload.

  • Just a short notice, Ke(kinetic energy) = 1/2*mass * velocity^2

So a light round traveling fast delivers a lot more force on the target than a slow heavy round, just as long as it STAYS in the target.

  • @MrSulake

Having more kinetic energy isn't necessarily better. A small fast round is likely to just go straight though something, although you've got a lot of energy you aren't transferring it to the target. In this case gives it great penetration, but less stopping power.

Momentum is probably a better standard as far as stopping power is concerned.

Of couse the ideal case is a heavy round, high velocity stopping dead in the target. As with everything in life, it's a compromise.

  • Availability hasn't been a problem. I went to Bass Pro and found over 50 boxes of each of the 24gr and 40gr. They only had 2 boxes of .45 apc

  • the best pistol ever made, specially made for special forces, seals, pilots, there is one under every seat of the f16 in belgian army. the only bad point is the price but it deserve it

  • If I wanted to hear about GLAWK this, and GLAWK that, I would have gone to another review site..from what I can tell, this is about the FN Five-Seven....NOT GLOCK! You may as well have made a comparison to just about any other Semi Auto made that field strips the same way BTW: Trigger time on this weapon was approximately 1000 rounds and NO ISSUES, recoil is about the same as .380 or better this weapon will be a keeper as far as home defense goes...a bit pricey, yeah, ammo, shop around,GoForIt

  • whoa! 20-30 Rnds per magazine. that's what im talkin bout! :D

  • Probably going to go the way of the zip-drive. The Zip drive was superior in every way to the 3" floppy disk, but Zip proprietorized their disks and gouged the hell out of the prices. Hence their demise.

  • When you're in military i don't think availability really matters with ammunition.....right?

  • burst-fire? full-auto?

  • @Bobio1138 what bout it?

  • @aaaaflasd I was just wandering if they had a fully automatic model in the mix. With how small that extended magazine is. And the low recoil of the caliber it would work out great.

  • @Bobio1138 yeah it would haha.

  • @Bobio1138 They should make one, but we wouldnt be able to buy it.

  • Glock knock but nice.

  • Comment removed

  • i think the safety might also be effectively operated with the thumb on the off hand while supporting.

  • The SS190 is the AP duty round, not the SS109.

  • In no way do I mean to step on anyone's toes who owns a FN Five-Seven... But is the pistol really worth the price-tag considering that the reason it exists was to pierce through armor; and since armor piercing rounds are illegal to non-law enforcement (and even they can be denied the armor piercing rounds), it's basically just an overpriced, cool looking, and powerful .22

Please feel free to comment. I want to purchase one, but I think it just might be a "fun" pistol to own, but that's all.

  • @kneverr Nice idea! I have a Five-Seven and love it BUT have always thought it was a bit large to carry on certain days. I would drool over a Beretta Bobcat in 5.7mm! Best idea I have heard in a while friend, you're sooo right about hot weather edc... so hard to hide my FN when I'm dressing for 90 degree days, I don't wear much as it is! lol

I will contact some firearms and barrel conversion companies, leave your suggestion.

    Thanks for the review NutnFancy.

  • nutn,

i was showing a friend a picture of a CCU that replaced the slide on a glock or 1911, and he asked me if it would be considered a bullpup.

so my questions to you are, would a pistol be considered bullpup, and would a CCU?

  • @lionboy55555 No, a bullpup is where the action is behind your hand.

  • I enjoy your reviews. Please stop apologizing for "not having stats in front of you." HAVE the stats in front of you or memorize them. That is part of the review.

  • @romingerrw I started watching his videos around 4 days ago, more that 10 hours in videos already... He often says that he has a regular job, a family to support and some other things to do and he does videos as a hobby; He says it almost in every video and he does most of his review videos with the performance on his hands not with the paper that comes with the gun/knife/tact gear : )

  • @Certifiedfunds Now, i dont believe Glock is the best gun in the world, i believe it is a good gun depending on the person, but in all honesty the innerds did look similar to a Glock, and it is a polymer frame. Some people say appes to oranges, but if it going to be on your side, i say apples to apples.

  • im tired of you comparing guns that are the shit to glocks. glocks are not the only damn gun out there that is a good gun i hate glocks they are cheep as hell they dont even have a metel trigger for cryin out loud
