Who are we to say these people are punished? Everything is a TEST from Allah (SWT). It should only be seen as a TEST. Are they going to stray from the path or not? You cannot be the judge and say these people had punishment coming to them.

But it is haram to say that a christian is a kafir. the proof is:
you can not swear at the bible or mistreat it, since it does still include atleast SOME of Allah's words to jesus.
also, the quraan mentions the kafir as kafir...the christain as "Ansar"....soo yea
