  • great video thanks for making it, I tend to get lost between the real game and the variations though

  • It's pronounced "Wong Youeh" not "Wang You"

  • why not e6?,Well, first I thought, after e6, why not just Bxe6? Second look is dangerous for black, for after f5, and the whole fortress seemingly is falling apart all at once, gxf5, Bxf5, Bxf5, Qxf5, but after that, black stand firm still, one pawn up, and white loses two tempos for Nf3 and O-O which he still HAS to play after exchange on f5. So, third look vote is against advance to e6.

  • Well, I got interesting when you managed the Dutch Stonewall. Finally there is the f4-pawn in move 10. But I really had to use my patience. ... slightly off-topic, but worth replaying. Thank you.

  • whenever you say it gets very tactical is the very time you shd rely on rybka, neh? then just evaluate from a positional point of view.

  • I guess the common theme of the odd moves 10. B x b8 ... N x b8 is the importance of black getting his knight to the queen side, possibly b4, which they both understood.

  • where can i watch live relays? are they online?

  • vvvvvv {dot} chessgames {dot} com

  • great commentary , you are really hitting your stride kc.

  • Bxb5, Bf5.

    Bd3

  • BTW, "Pogonina" is pronounced with accent on the second "o" --

    poGOnina.

pogoNIna sounds really awkward to a native speaker... ;)

  • 10. Bxb8, what a strange move... I'll never understand GM's...

    Thanks for the videos!

  • glad to see chinese player on chinese nation day
