  • Autocad and Accurender are still the best combination.

  • did you make the walls with mass? or how did you make them?

  • i love revit.. but i still think it sucks rendering... i rather make renderings at 3DS Max

  • @Prictures if i new a lot about rendering in 3ds max i would always render in there definatly a better renderer than Revit

  • @dasmizz Revit is really good at rendering, though...it looks like you exported your video in the "Shaded" version of the 3d, instead of the "Rendered"

  • @dasmizz Im an architect student, so i have to know autocad, 3ds max, revit etc... i like projecting on revit, but renders i do in 3ds max.. if you like studying softares you should definatly search some tutorials from 3ds max.. its a very powerfull machine if you work with architecture and furniture design!

  • I'm 17, used Revit for about 6 months, and I love it. @Prictures , this video is not rendered. this video is done as the "Shaded" 3D view in Revit.

  • @MrAEB1994 but revit render does sucks :)

  • Hey I really like this! I've been trying to take notes from some of these videos, check out my walkthrough if you get a chance and I'll take any advice you can give!

  • definitely not AutoCAD 3d and of of course i would say Revit but there are strengths and weaknesses of each what is good about Revit though is that it can export directly into 3dsmax. and they are two different types of modeler Revit is for buildings primarily though it does have the abillity to model smaller consumer goods as well in terms of families. 3ds max can littereally model anything which is a strength but also a weakness as it can be hard to model things

  • so what's better for 3d Models?

    Autocad 3d

    Revid

    3dMax?

I use autocad 3d and it's a pain in my butt some times so what's better???

  • @HenrydeBeli see comment above if you are doing architecture related task Revit is your best bet if you are doing computer animation obviously 3ds max never autocad 3d though lol unless your just great at autoCAD

  • @HenrydeBeli sketchup;)

  • @HenrydeBeli Inventor is the best for 3d modelling, and animations/ stress testing

  • it looks geat, i love, great inspiration

  • @thekapow thanks

  • I actually liked those "trees".

  • 300 is the typical Revit frame amount, but what you want to do I guess for the smoothest video at the lowest frame rate do about 24 fps so 24 x how many seconds of video you want so if you want a minute walk through its going to take about 60 * 24 = 1440 frames and thats at the minimum decent frame rate you really want about 30-45fps but not necessary. Also there is settings for telling the camera what speed to go through each segment so keep that in mind as well

  • hey want to know what were the settings you entered for getting so smooth walkthrough, i did it with 300 frames and it didn't get well :) thx

  • u should of filtered the trees, and may be replace them by another revit familly that look actually like a tree, when it is rendering time fore the pic uu should bring back ur initial tress

    but anyway

    good way of presenting it

  • @syria8989 yea thats a good idea thanks though

  • 3d max still best

  • @ms3amiso maybe the most noobish comment i have red in a while xD

  • @thekapow

    why???

    its good work

but the 3d max make amazing rendering than this .....very sick rendering

  • Very nice job.

  • @phlyegles43 thanx :-)

  • what software did u used?,.is it revit?,

    did u used mental ray?

  • yes all Revit, and Revit has a built in Mental ray renderer

  • Beautiful project. Great idea on the big wooden mullions. They look nice.

  • How u doin Dasmizz? I', learning how to use Revit.....Did u do all that in Revit alone? or did u mix sketchu? AutoCAD? 3DS Max? C4D? I mean the actual building itself, coz some structures looked complicated to have done it all in Revit. Really Really fantastic work, some of the best I've seen on YT. Keep goin.... Cheers for sharing...

  • yes all in revit 2009

  • i appreciate your comments :-)

  • yeah you're welcome man, credit has to be given where it's due.....how did u do the wooden outside walls?

  • to put it simply it is a curtain wall based off of a mass i created in revit

  • @dasmizz Gonna have to de-simplify that process and explain it to me, if you want send it to me by e-mail, I'll give it to you when/if you reply. Very interested to know how to create fluid exterior walls like that.

  • hey greta work dude . could u please help me by telling how u did the outer slanting things whic gives u a good form to the building . could u please share the project file with me

  • project file will be to large i may do a quick vid on how it was done when i get a chance

  • Wow this is nice! Great job! And it only took you a week to built it in revit!

  • yea thanx

  • me too man grat proyect!!

  • interesting i've been there for 3 years never heard that name even mentioned is the the southern poly in georgia?

  • Do you know Dr. Curtis Sartor?

  • no never heard of him

  • He was director of the architecture program at Southern Polytechnic.

  • Did you render all the snap shots in revit too?

  • Yes I did Revit Arch 2009

  • well it was a project during my previous semester in school so I probably had about a week to build and render in revit but i had been designing it for about a month on and off between other classes

  • Really nice. How many hours did you have invested in this thing?

  • thanks i really appreciate that

  • Fantastic design, wow.
