I looked up "swine flu" on the internet when I first heard about it, turns out it is no more deadly than the "regular" flu (there are many strains), and most people make a full recovery. This is just an excuse for the left to push their socialized healthcare agenda under the guise of "humanitarian efforts". I don't know what you're being told in the US, but here in the UK we are told that the swine flu has been upgraded to a pandemic. But, that we should not worry, because regular flu kills many more people. We are told the upgrade had occurred since the flu has spread around the world. And we should not panic.

btw I ignore 90% of the news. The remaining 10% I take with a pinch of salt. That works for me or else I would become numb with fear. All the while I quietly concentrate on preparation.

My wife works in a hospital and they try pretty hard to make her take the flu shot each year. Each year she says no. All they can do is not pay her sickness benifits if she gets the flu. She never does and neither do I. But everyone who gets the shot gets sick. Mind you she is pretty healthy and she is ever vigilant with her handwashing. Never get the shot!!!
