@goodnamestaken 1.the lawyer could not defend them both at the same time because they were been brought in on different chargers( example. shrimp boy for murder, and the boss for running a criminal organization) 2.the lawyer if he or she wants to can stop working the case by passing the case to another lawyer( in other words letting their friend handle the case) so when the boss hired his lawyer shrimp boy was left with a new lawyer who didn't know all the facts.
