  • Be nice to her she reached her final years

  • My channel is great for you if you prefer the intense learning away from doggy land

  • Aw, she looks like our Saedi-girl. She's 10 years old, so she's possibly even lazer than this dog.

  • Bored.

  • Keva: "Leave me alone WOMAN! go make me some breakfast."

Owner: "wow your the most exciting dog ever."

  • Be aware that if you decide to have sex on that bed you will be heard from far away!

  • I had a IW mix and he would breath like that when he was not sick. (He got hot easily.) I remember one time mom got mad and yelled "STOP BREATHING!" Lol. me, my brother, our two aussies and the wolfhound all turned and looked at her like she had grown a second head. Asking a little much?

  • She's BEAUTIFULLL ^ -^

  • domestication sucks

  • its lonely.. this is animan cruetly not me hunting with them!

  • We have 2 yr old. Video nails it re. "excitement" of this sweet & wonderful breed! Kudos!

  • I bet that burgler will regret ignoring the "beware of the dog" sign lol

  • Beautiful dog, but I don't think " most exciting dog in the world" is really appropriate for this video

  • I have dog like yours, but probably more energetic :)

  • I have dog like yours :)

  • I absolutely LOVE Wolfhounds! Truly they are so majestic and beautiful. My neighbor had one named Caoimhe (Irish spelling of Keva, like yours) and she was so graceful and wonderful with kids. They also had one named Saoirse(Seer-sha) but she was one of the more lively wolfies I've seen.

  • Exciting indeed. I bet she makes a wonderful TV buddy on those boring Saturday nights. She's a beautiful dog, I'd love to have a wolfhound of my own some day.

  • She's breathing kinda heavy in this video. It seems like she's got pneumonia (common for this breed). I'd have had that checked out. I've known plenty of wolfies, and heavy breathing worries me because one of my favorites died from complications.

  • @Mewsaphine - Thank you for your concern. Keva has a full body check-up every two months. Irish Wolfhounds are known to breath heavy without having Pneumonia. She has always been a heavy breather right from a pup. I will keep an eye on her and if there is any irregularity in her breathing I will take her to the vet right away. Thanks again for your concern. I am sorry to hear about your beautiful IW. So sad losing a friend.

  • @farrellphil Dude chill out! It was three years ago.

  • @farrellphil Dude, it's a Wolfhound. Give it a child to lick or an elk to chase and she's ready to go. Otherwise, leave her alone. My best friend breeds IWs. I get to play with them a lot. They are the most awesome dogs around. Hers lean on everybody.

  • @Lexicologist71 i think what you are all picking up in this video is the women should simply not be talking it makes her sound out of control that the dog hates her ect ......when simply its a strong willed dog that is not that responsive in nature on this vid its her constant chatter that makes you think something is wrong

and there is she needs to close her chops !!!

  • @farrellphil

I can see your logic in worrying about a big dog being disobedient But had you followed your own 'step 1' and researched this breed first you would know how accidentally funny your post is. They are the biggest breed of dog but paradoxically among the most gentle with people.

  • @farrellphil the dog's just chilling out, jeez.

  • @farrellphil Apologies. Nobody realized that you were Cesar Millan.

  • @farrellphil i wouldn't want to be a dog under your care. would feel more like a slave camp than a home. i never consider my dogs my property or me being the owner. simply other family members and best friends

  • These dogs are beautiful! Reminds me of a mutt I had called Scruffy when I was a kid. LOL @ the squeaky bed. :)

  • Fantastic dog - love her!!!!

  • Up Up Keva...and she just changes position lol sooo funny! Where does the name Keva come from? Its adorable.

  • @foofy5 - Hi Thanks for your comment. Keva is short for Kevan in Celtic. It means beautiful.

  • awesome dog, period!

  • Wow gigantic, but beautiful! Only seen 2 of these in my entire life (21years) :o

  • I hope she has somewhere to run around :(

  • lol ... she's a beauty! Not to worry about those idiots with the warnings. Guess they never had a dog that loved them. There is nothing more loyal. I had the same comments about my boyo, he was half wolf and lab. A "tiny" guy next to your Keva, only 93 lbs. My best friend for 16 1/2 years. God I miss him.

Enjoy every moment with your lovely pup!

  • like my scottish deerhound angus! he just sits around being the alpha male nowadays but he still makes me laugh when he walks into a room sees someone in there and buggers off again

  • Is that the dog's bed?! I'm guessing he doesn't just have a little basket in the corner! What a beautiful dog.

  • she is so chill.

    it's like watching a cute old man.<3

i definitely want one of these dogs now!

  • Wanna lay down?

    Yep. All day. XD

I want an IW so baaad. I adore big sweet dogs. My house is way too small right now though. Keva is adorable! she reminds me of my golden retriever mix who basiclly just wanted to sleep and be loved.

  • Wolfhounds are soooo cool!!! My Asgard is one of these Gentle Giants!! Lovely Keva!

  • They do spend alot of time sleeping, what a wonderful wolfhound she is.

  • I just love her!! how big she is, and very lovely =))) give Keva a kiss from me! I´ve had a labrador retriever, called Greta. I send you greetings from Monterrey N.L. A friend of mine has an Irish Wolfhound LOVELY also, they are such big and babies at the same time.

  • Thank you so much for your kind thoughts on Keva. Greta the retriever sounds lovely as well. Very loyal and loving companions.

  • between the irish and deerhounds i don't know who is likes to sleep more. there are no sweeter dogs on earth!

  • i love them :D im irish and im 5 foot i just cuddle them

  • I once had an Irish Wolfhound, called "Buccaneer" an i miss him só much.......................he was so cute and lovely, i was always combing his hear on his head.

I think once i'm gonne get me another!

  • so where do you sleep? lol

  • hehe I think Keva is tired ^-^

    she's cute thanks for sharing

  • Love my IW McGruff is , he is only 8 months old and his best friend is a chihuahua. Actualy he is best friends with everyone. He loves to lay on the bed and look at him self in the mirrow

  • she's gorgeous thx for sharing

  • big dog XD

  • I want to hug it.

  • That's what I love about wolfhounds...inside they are the laziest creatures known to man. Outside they're maniacs!

  • my dog look like this but he is husky mix wolf huge size like this your dog.

  • Oh I wait for the day that my Wolhound/Komondor mix will be this calm. Oh please oh please! Sweet girl you have :)

  • wow she ways more than i do! when she was coming out of the bed room, it looked like a man wearing a dog costume. a very tall man wearing a dog costume.

  • I've always found it entertaining how terrified people are of Irish Wolfhounds. They are probably one of the most docile breeds out there. I'd be more worried about a shiatsu attacking than one of these guys.

  • Thank you so much for your comment. Yes My girl is so gentle and such a big baby. She got chased out of the dog park by a pomeranian. How embarrassing for us. I am not sure what breed a shiatsu is but I could sure go for a massage. LOL. Shitzhou?? Thanks again have a great day

  • @spaologygirl lol yeah one of those, spellcheck doesn't always get it right i guess.

  • @spaologygirl the dog hates u

  • @spaologygirl Actually its spelt Shih-tzu.

  • boring -.-

  • u should learn how to handle a dog i think....

this big dogs can be dangerous they should listen to you

  • Thanks for your comcern. Since the video she has eaten several small children and my cat has gone missing. So I have decided to take your advice and get some training. These Irish Wolfhounds are known for their ferocious and dangerous behavior. Our friends and family have noticed their babies and children are missing limbs and seem terrified of visiting us. Thanks again. I hope the training helps out tenuous situation.

  • @spaologygirl

hmm your comment shows me that u have no damn clue that a sweet pretty dog can turn into a wild creature...

also my dog, a totally peaceful sweet and lovely one starts to hunt deers if he sees some and its hard to stop him.

and this dog is really big and heavy so u should be careful.

but i see u dont take it serious

  • Thank you again for your concern. Your right I can't take you seriously.

  • @MrMonkyy ya your dumb!

  • @MrMonkyy ahole

  • @MrMonkyy Irish wolf hounds have one of the sweetest dispositions in the world. That being said yes dogs can sometimes exhibit some wild uncontrollable behavior

but this breed of dog is the least likely on earth to do so, at 3 years old it probably a tad past it's prime for such a big dog. Her days of possible aggression are behind her at this point. Irish wolf hounds are not guard dogs for the very reason they make great companions. Their temperament is far too gentle. It ain't gonna turn.

  • @spaologygirl

    Lol!

  • @spaologygirl

Agreed. And my pitbull has slaughter countless babies and eatin all wildlife in the area while destroying property with her jaws...

    The ignorance of some people...

  • @spaologygirl Awesome Dog. I have a Irishwolfhound named Sammy. He Loves this video too. P.S Farrelphil is a prick.

  • @norsemensteve

Thank you for your comments. Sammy sounds great. If you enjoyed Farrelphil's comments check out MrMonkey's. We had quite the banter. I find these comments very entertaining. Thanks again

  • @spaologygirl LMAO!!! Love it! Gotta love ignorance eh? Some people don't seem to understand the difference between biddable and non-biddable breeds. I grew up with Wolfies and miss them a ton. Yours is a beauty and seems like a total doll.

  • @spaologygirl I definitely laughed aloud at this. Too true!

  • she's a big girl!

  • I adore wolfhounds they are s beautiful. The first time I saw one I was scared as hell. What I wouldnt do have one now.

  • yeah weve got a deer hound and hes the softest thing youve ever seen, he also seems to have selective hearing lol........... he doesnt really shed but he needs alot of exersize and he cant sleep on the tiles in the kitchen so he has a massive rug to sleep on

  • do those dogs shed alot?

  • far out...that dog is HUGE!!!

  • "up, up".... ha, ha, that's a funny dog

  • so are these dogs as friendly and mellow as they seem i really want one but my gf is scared of em cuz there huge lol shes only 5 ft so shes got a right i guess lol but anyways would like any info u guys have so i can prove it to her thx!!!!! o and by the way keeva pretty cool shes just like ummm wel lets see im bigger than u so really this is my bed to squeek i just let u sleep in it lol

  • "Want a drink" ?

Keeva, "Seriously? Can I please lie down now? "

  • Right so..and she's no eejit. She knows a wee comfy bed to rest on!

  • she's getting old

  • It looks like the werewolf professor in harry potter when it gets up. :)

  • My Irish Wolfhound was also 36" tall, and he could stand and put his paws on my shoulders without straining...and I am 6' 1." My IW would take up all of a 7' couch when he would stretch out for a nap...and he was well known for ignoring any commands to get out of the couch. With those huge brown eyes staring pathetically at me...he always won.

  • Hey, ours was the same! She only heard that she wanted :) and we could never be mad at her :) After all she was not a bad girl of course, but the same as Keva and yours :) They are the smartest dogs, I don t only think that but I know :)

unfortunatelly she left in this august, she was 10. A great dog, great mind, great soul! Her name was Moira, but sometimes we called her "little mouse" :)) We will never have any other kind of dog. later an IW again... later...

  • I believe she is suffering from selctive deafness

  • She wants a boyfriend ^^

  • Haha she seemed to stop and listen to the bed squeak for a moment

  • lol when the bed starts sqeaking, what must your neighbours think ;)

  • lol

  • Thats messed up

  • nah. They require vigorous exercise about twice a day. The rest of the time, they just lay around.

  • Or they could just take it for a walk 0.o

  • yeah its really not that bad, if you take them out like twice a day theyre plenty happy, even if you run them just once a day theyll sleep till the next morning. On nice days ours will go outside but not to run just to bask in the sun. Thats winter time for us though we live in the desert.

  • ya you might want to think about training that beast

  • and i thought my irish wolfhound was huge shes around 175 pounds give or take a few and is stands around '6 "4

  • man IW is my favourate dog hahaha

  • Honestly, your dog... doesn't seem that interested in you...

  • @complainer101

yes and this dog is damned big

if its going wild this woman wont be able to stop it

  • so dood und so süß lach

  • Man that is a big dog! Not to be offensive or anything, but just her breathing sounded like two people having sex on that bed...dang.

  • I'm probably going to end up writing this on every IWH video...but.....gosh...that's a big dog! lol

  • Wow, that's quite a hound.

  • your dog is beautiful,,i know at girl at work who has one ..thanks for sharing

  • so cruel making her do all that hard exercise!!!!! lol

  • hahahahaha

  • They do. But to be honest we probably don't brush her enough. Besides, she is worth having despite being a hairy beast.

  • do they shed

  • Once past the puppy stage and have their adult coat they hardly shed anything. Such great dogs!! see my Vid and see how energetic and exciting they can be.

  • she is beautiful.....My newest one, Malcolm, will prob`ly end up as big or bigger than her....

  • I have a deerhound who rivals Keva with his WILDness...ha ha...much snoozing on beds and sofas...

  • My little Wolfie is only 172lbs and she is 3

She is my second, and Ill never go without one. Wish they lived longer than they do but they love so much. Wolfies are like chips, you cant have just one!!

Love the video, shows how hyper wolfies really are... LOL

  • love it! thats wolfhounds for ya! we used to breed them, could have 4 full grown adults at 1 time and a litter of puppies! my folks stopped breeding them a few years back. lovely dogs!!

  • Lol, when i'm older (i don't think my mum's a fan of big dogs lol) i think i'll get an irish wolfhound

  • well, its a really dear dog, i was on a previous video and some people were talking about it being $1000

  • Yeah it's true. They can run as high as 3000 and more. They are rare and also helps the owners test for genetic disease as they don't have long lifespans.

  • yeppers we dropped 3400 on our first, plus we had to pay for shipping since she was from canada, good dog air travel isint cheap.

  • Whoa! At 41 she's really freaky! I think she's a beautiful dog and I'm not really afraid of them, but if I woke up one night and saw that I would freak out!

  • You may "freak out" but only until it started licking. You'd then have the problem of getting it off you!

  • Hahaha true... so cute!

  • Is this Keva intended as in Caoimhe?

  • LOL! Great vid! typical sighthound, try and wake em up and they'll yawn and shift position so they can continue sleeping facing away from the camera.

Squeeking bed, hehehe. :D thx for posting this

  • 1:02 LMAO! Making the bed squeak! Hahahahaha!

    She's a big pretty dog, isn't she?

  • wow she is beautiful i have always dreamt of having a woldhound but i cant find a good breeder but she is bigg for a female i love her she is gorgeous

  • Does this dog have an outdoor space ? It's way too big to keep indoors ?

  • Dear laburgy,

Does Keva look like she's complaining about indoor space? We have a 3000sq ft home with a large yard back and front also we live right by the beach. So lots of room indoors and out. Just a note regarding IW's they sleep about 8 hours a day and love to stretch out while dosing. So you really only need so much space. Thanks for your concern.

  • Hi Thanks for getting back to me..and yes, just concern. I think these dogs are amazing and I have a few friends with them.I'm sure Keva loves her romps on the beach.

    All the best to you.

    laburgy

  • Haha, this was hilarious! Keva's expression is priceless: "Oh jesus... here we go again... do I look like I care? Do you want me to tell, just where you can put your camera?"

I love Irish Wolfhounds. They are extremely wondierfull dogs.

  • Now that put the size of the dog in perspective for me to say its on a queen size bed (read the description after). Doggie bed!! Not for people anymore.

  • i have one and we go hunting together with my bassat hound sometimes i feel like some people dont see a dogs true potential in life so they stare at the damn dog and do nothing all day long with it but comment on its cuteness you know for the sake of arguement i dont care little lady ya get that clue

  • Irish wolfhounds are the most beautiful gentle dogs....unfortunately they aren't long lived

  • 36 inches tall and 190? thats huge even 4 irish wolfhound standards.

  • Hilarious! I want one...

  • Keva is laughin! I'm sure!

  • That a nice dog bed - and where are YOU going to sleep? haha

  • Hello, thats a beautiful animal! Keva is spelt Caoimhe in Irish, just in case you'd like to know. Its pronounced a little differently too. I'm not giving out or anything, just thought you might like to know!

  • my one is bigger than me

  • Oh my god! She is so lady or so old? For sure she is HUGE!!!

    Very, very pretty!!!

  • Beautiful dog. She is a beast of a dog.

  • LOL She's beautiful! Your IW makes your bed squeak when she breathes. Mine shakes my car when he breathes.

  • Cool video. Very funny that the heavy breathing made the bed squeak!

  • aww, not rushing for anything :) bfg - big friendly giant. lazy as you like, such a friendly personality

  • There's no reason, but I find this video fascinating.

  • Our two current monsters are 16 months old...I am showing them your video to try to show them how wolfhounds are SUPPOSED to act!

  • I have a three year old Wolfie and a 3 month old too. They are both lazy lol

  • what a good girl! listens so well, just like mine!

  • Laid back to a fault like most IW's. Would love to see some pics of yours.
