@Superincrediboy All I've seen is mention of the disc format being superior as the PC and Xbox 360 versions ship in 2 discs. Which doesnt affect gameplay at all. Sounds good all of this. I am just a bit sceptical when game reviewer go to these all expenses paid type of events. They are pretty much trying to bribe the people coming to these events, and if you are to harsh on their game you are likely not to be invited again. Which is why a lot of reviewer go easy on games, so not to risk losing their invite for the next event. Not saying this has always has to be true, but it happens.

I saw a video from PAX that was promoting to get DUAL GTX 580. I don't know about you but that is some pretty steep graphics there. So does BF3 show affinity to nVidia hardware, or has it remained neutral? Also do you know the spec at which they are aiming the game to optimize at.

@becool365 As far as I am aware the game runs great on most modern hardware, but previous BF games have had the nVidia logo on the box. Videos on youtube which have used an ATI card are just as good as there nVidia counterpart in my opinion.

@becool365 If PS3's and 360's can run it and it still look "good" then I'm sure a rig with at least a single gtx 460 and a 3ghz quad can pound out some pretty impressive graphics.

Hopefully the game will detect optimum settings and give you something you'll be happy with... If not, time for an upgrade.

@becool365 BF has always run better on ATI/AMD GPUs. Cpu's have remained even, when you talk about price, although intel has, for the past 6 years, had WAY better top-end CPU's.

@becool365 Also I could run BF:3 on my LAPTOP with a 460m on medium at roughly 20-35 fps. My desktop performs much better. To compare BF:BC2 on high runs around 50 on my laptop. My Desktop has gtx 570's in SLI and runs BC2 well over 120fps on high and 4x Anti Aliasing. I couldn't test bf:3 though as I was on holiday and away from home :(.
