Yeah what's weird of course is The Central School was still opposite my Dad's when those first shots of the band were taken and it's gone now replaced by a small close of houses.
Lovely to see these shots posted and it would be great if bendyben would post some more.
My brother and I worked out the other shots of the whit walks were taken opposite the The Queens Pub on the High Street !
@ricktodick1 ...Hi Rick the first part with the kids on is opposite The Parish School near the Coach House there;s a spare bit of land up near where the school dentist used to be...in fact I think that's me jumpinp up and down with my duffle coat on. If it is I'd put it around 67/68....the first lot of footage with the band palying is Townhouse Road looking towards the playing fields....and the parades where the religious Whit Walks I think !
