i hosted a show here on grand rapids heartside show wich is once a year it was odd we cacel the show in 2002 after we failed to bring in the ratings we want then this year they brought it back and got me to host it i walk out as our announcer said KELLY BERRY our stage was so small i just stood there and did the puppet dance conan does just to kill time then i say doctors name the chicken pox the conan o brien to gain patients how ever gurls wont date me cause i have a bad caseof the conan
I was actually in the studio audience with my dad for the second-to-last episode of the Tonight Show with Conan when he did this (We're in the very back, but it was worth waiting five hours in the rain to score tickets for that). I thought that since I never saw it on television before that he must have done this for every other show. Then I was surprised that they showed that part on television later, so having not been in the audience before that, I wasn't sure if that was just one time.
I just saw Conan live last week and he definitely does sing this song after the cameras go off...although, when i saw it he came up in the audience and really belted out the last part! it was hilarious!
@caseyervin after he sang this song the last time i went to see his new show, he came up and hugged me! magical moment.
i have seen his new show 3 times, the tonight show twice and hopefully getting tickets soon in the future as well. :) i love coco! :D and his end of the show song! he does do it for almost every show!
@uofl2004 This particular version wasn't. Aaron Bleyaert, the blogger/Web Extraordinaire for both Late Night and the Tonight Show posted this video on the Late Night Underground, the website dedicated to behind the scenes clips of Late Night, right before Late Night with Conan O'Brien concluded. However, they aired Conan singing it on the Tonight Show the second to last episode before they were forced off.
It's the end of the show song, the part that's never on TV, I'm just wasting this studio audience's time now, everybody wants to leave and go get a drink but they can't cause I'm singing a song that goes on, and on, and Sabadaba HIIIIIIII
THIS is part of the reason why this guy is the late-night voice of Americans aged 20-45! Simple, stupid, yet inherently genius bits of comedy.
God bless you, Brother O'Brien!

I saw Conan live in New York in 2006 back when he was on Late Night. I remember this blew me away when he sung this. I thought it was hilarious.

@nhdrumline11 Second to last show, they finally aired it. It's usually not though.

Leno would NEVER do this! He doesn't have the guts...or the talent for that matter.

Leno singing = William Hung. Wait...I'm sorry. That's an insult to William Hung.
